Stayed 2 nights

We had a very nice stay, however the lack of a front desk did pose a challenge. I was fully aware of this when booking however the information provided lead me to believe that the phone number given would lead directly to the inn keeper. However I found out it goes to someone off site and they contact the inn keeper. This usually wouldn’t be an issue however when we needed something it took several phone calls back and forth. Also they are not very responsive to text messages, even though they suggest it is as a way of contact. Check in was a challenge aa well, even though we did everything required on our end, took a phone call and 15 minutes while waiting to get our room code. Our room was clean overall, however there were several dead flies on our bathroom counter and the bed was less than comfortable. However the inn served its purpose as base camp for our weekend stay and fit the old world theme. Would not stay again as there are many other inns and places to stay in the area.

The hotel is a beautiful vintage building with game rooms and things to do. The room was big and comfortable. It is self-service which works great if you have no problems, but we had a clogged toilet which over-flooded, and noone came to fix and clean when we called. We had to search the hotel for cleaning supplies and plumbing tools to fix the problem and clean up ourselves. This is too bad, because the hotel has a lot of potential.
