Hemos ido en familia, bien hotel las habitaciones un poco más antiguas pero la piscina estaba muy bien el césped bien, había muchas actividades para niños y adultos y la comida del bufet buena también

Quite an old fashioned hotel, which we like. Very clean all round. Lovely dining, lots of choice. Fantastic pool within nice gardens. Right at train station.

Basic and adequate for a one night stay. Very reasonable price for half board. Very comfortable bed. Nice staff. Food ok. Nice swimming pool and outdoor seating area. Easy access to los alamos train station

Quite noisy and thin roomdoor. Hard bed. To hard. Very few 220V-chargers. But good food, good poolarea, good location for me. I Come back!

I really liked rotal costa overall. I will dtay again and recomend it for people. Beds were comfortable nice to have a real bath breakfast was nice and i dont normally like hotel breakfasts. The pools is big and good for dwimming in i am here in april using it The probles i had were my ocean viewfid not have a ocean view. The plug beside the bed was broken toliet flushed moved around when it shouldn't and the sink was worn tattered. The issues were nit big issues for me i could see it being a problem for people who need machiens to sleep with no plug working hear the bed. For the mo ey paid though it was overall worth it and i cant wait to come back

Breakfast excellent, 5 mins from Malaga Airport, quiet, 2 mins from the small train line, has a few local bars nearby, great evening entertainment, helps if you speak a few words of Spanish, English breakfasts and football shirts it isn’t.

Loved the pool, gardens and bar and staff were excellent In the bar. Air con, hot water and bed all really good but does need a refurb. Overall great value for money and a perfect location for the beach and the airport.

El personal muy amable. El hotel necesita una renovación, un poco de actualización. La piscina es muy pequeña para tantos huéspedes, con el añadido que solo se hace pie en una parte muy pequeña que se llena de niños, difícil moverse en el agua. Estancia de un día y una noche, cena y desayuno bien.

El hotel esta muy buen situado se aparca muy facil la atención esta muy bien la comida muy bien. Pero las habitaciones no se ven tan limpias por lo viejo del inmobiliario lo demas perfecto

El hotel no está mal, pero tiene cosas para mejorar. Si bien, el personal es atento y amable. Encontramos una cucaracha en la habitación y lo comunicamos en la recepción, y en breve tiempo, subió la limpiadora y la retiró, echó insecticida y lo limpió.

The room was clean and nice, the cheak in and check out was super easy, and the breakfast buffer was amazing! The outside property and pool looked lovely too even though we didn't make use of the amenities. Would go back again in a heartbeat.

The hotel was very good for the price. The bar and restaurant good, breakfast very good and prices excellent. The hotel was very clean and staff very helpful. Location is fantastic for the train to malaga and Airport. The only thing that lets it down are the bedrooms. Very dated poor beds and showers.

The location of the hotel is really good, it’s a five minute easy walk to and from the Los Alamos train station which comes direct from the airport and goes to Malaga etc. No need for taxis etc, use the train for everything. The hotel staff didn’t seem friendly at all, the housekeeping staff were smiley and upbeat but everyone else didn’t smile, say hello or anything, I found it really strange. There’s 2 lifts which are great, the pool and outdoor area looks lovely and there’s a little play area for young children, it also looks lovely. The food wasn’t great for us, we are a bit fussy but it was worse than we thought it would be. Breakfast is lovely, so many options but nothing is hot or near to hot, so don’t expect piping hot food, it’ll be warm at best. We were half board so had dinner too, there aren’t loads of options and there’s no children's section either like most hotels. A lot of the time we ordered from Glovo and got food delivered to the hotel. The room is dated and basic but was fine, you get hand soap, shower gel and shampoo sachets and the housekeeping clean if you want it cleaning and provide fresh towels. The evening we arrived I found the bathroom had apparently been cleaned but it was dirty with hairs over the toilet seat and all in the bath. I had to clean it myself before we used anything. I didn’t find the beds too uncomfortable considering lots say how awful they are. The noise from the train, planes, thin walls is a lot, it does disrupt.

Esta muy dejado los pasillos tienen alfombras y huele a pis de perro la limpieza deja mucho que deseares muy anticuada la habitación se escucha todo de las habitaciones de los lados no puedes dormir el ascensor no se puede cojer el buffet es básico pero la comida no es mala la piscina tiene dos dedos de mugre no me a gustado nada fui una noche si fuese una semana me iría a mi casa sin dudarlo

When we first arrived, the front desk guy looked at us, and went back to his cell phone. We stood there for a good minute, and then he glanced up again and clearly was annoyed by us checking in too early. His attitude was unnecessary, but we brushed it off and sat in the lobby until our room was ready. Once inside the room, we got hit with a STRONG, foul smelling oder. It was something coming out of the bathroom. I’m not entirely sure as to what it was, as it was clean. We had to keep the door shut all night and put our left over food in there to mask the smell. Due to the experience at the front desk, and only being there for one night, we just sucked it up. The room itself was not bad, but the beds were also incredibly uncomfortable.

Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt. Sauber. Pool ist sehr angenehm. Für Eltern mit Kleinkinder und Baby s gibt es ein klein extra Bereich. Zimmer war Super. Balkon und Badewanne. Klimaanlage vorhanden die man sich selber aus machen kann.

Rooms & bath rooms need updating also the air conditioning, room walls a paper thin next door was taking shower sounded like water was coming into our room, breakfast was okay could always improve the choice overall okay for budget stay

El hotel es un poco antiguo, las habitaciones necesitarían algo de reforma. No hay enchufes en la mesita de noche, el colchón es demasiado duro y a almohada muy fina para mi gusto. La limpieza perfecta, las vistas muy bonitas, la atención y el servicio perfecto. La relación calidad precio es buena

Bed was really comfortable, but room was dated, and no window- it suited me. Noise insulation was not the best.

This is a budget hotel. Because I didnt pay a lot, i was actually impressed. However there are areas which could be improved. It is expected that there will be plug sockets next to the bed, however I only found one socket for the whole room. The bath was quite dangerous, as you nearly topple over trying to reach the taps, however it was nice to have a bath present. The pool bar was not open, but as its only May, maybe it will open later. The food was very average. My biggest problem was how noisy it was: the noise from the bar carries up the stairs, the chairs are so heavy you can hear people scraping them across the floor. The walls are so thin, you can hear talking. The doors do not close so you get a draft. The hotel backs onto train tracks so that is also noisy. However, the staff were pleasant and it was clean. I would not choose to holiday here, but it has a good location close to the airport and beach, so served a purpose for me. Very reasonably priced.

Uncomfortable beds

The single room allocated to me had no natural light in it. The bed was basic with a double pillow which I had to fold over to get comfortable. The safe did not seem to work. Disappointing after a long journey. This hotel has seen better days. This is a shame as it is in a nice residential area next to Los Alamos station. This makes it very convenient for the airport and transit to Malaga city where I joined my coach to Granada.OK if al you want is a bed for the night

Very outdated furniture bed totally uncomfortable just a mattress on a frame. Easy access to Malaga Airport

Los chicos jóvenes de recepción, muy serios y mecánicos. Fríos y distantes. Hotel con sus añitos, muy de los 70. Te da la sensación de que vas a ver aparecer por el hall a Alfredo Landa o Paco Martínez Soria. Pero también es cierto que sus precios son los más económicos de la zona. Habitación amplia, WiFi perfecto, bufet muy correcto. No me gustó que tuve que llamar a recepción y después de 15 minutos insistiendo (tanto al través del 9 de recepción como al número telefónico del hotel), tuve que bajar desde el 4° piso para pedir la contraseña del WiFi. Aún así, buena relación calidad-precio.

I was received by two receptionists, one man and one woman. They were both busy with paperwork and screens when I arrived exhausted after having tried reaching the hotel by phone, for two hours. I needed directions on how to get to their hotel from the train station in Malaga. They did not pick up the phone. I had to find my way to the hotel zone and the hotel, by public transportion. Arriving exhausted, neither of the receptionists greeted me wiht friendly energy and welcoming eyes. To the contrary. I left after having been ordered to change my position at the counter; he wanted me to move myself over to where his computer screen was. So I left. I did not want to rest in those energies greeting me at the front desk.

I just needed a reasonably priced room to spend the night, somewhere near the airport. It appeared to be in a good neighborhood, and it was clean. The service of the front desk employees was excellent! Check-in & check-out was very smooth. They called me a taxi, and sent me off with a boxed lunch. I didn’t eat there, so I don’t have any opinion about the restaurant. The only complaint I have is the noise, although I didn’t complain to the hotel staff. It was very noisy. People sounded like they were yelling and running in the halls, right outside my door. A couple of times I thought someone was trying to open my door, when they were actually going into their own rooms. Despite all the noise, I’d stay at the Hotel Royal Costa again. The price was really cheap, the service was great, and my room was clean and adequate for 1 person.

Most of the staff especially the blonde woman on reception and the older guy on reception and the man on the bar need more training in hospitality. I work as management for an ihg hotel and your staff were quite rude and looked like they weren’t interested in helping me out when I needed anything. Also the bath was so small I didn’t even know they made them that small. I’m retuning on the 22nd January and hope these things are improved

We stayed here for one night after arriving at Malaga airport. The hotel is 7 mins drive from the airport. There are a handful of free parking places outside the hotel which we were lucky to get one. There were also parking places on the street which were free. The reception area was nice and very clean. Check in was quick and easy. The room was quite small and dated but can't complain for what we paid. There was a good variety of foods but it wasn't very warm. In summary,this hotel is ok for a one night stay and convenient to the airport.

Alojamiento muy antiguo. Muy buen situación con el cercanías muy cerca.

Could hear everything in the room above us. Toilets were oddly close to the sink. Beach is about 500 meters away but the main strip is about 2 km away.

Convenient for train line close to sirport, walking distance easily. Beach and other facilities further away but walkable. I would describe this hotel as dated, single room was ok. Bed linen clean but old. One night stay, balcony a good one for watching aircraft. Minor cleaning issue of leftover shower gel sachet from previous guests in shower area. Dated decor but a fun place with entertainment in evening, popular with elderly groups i think. Breakfast buffet good, gets busy at times. Wifi good. Very fair price, would probably use again.

Las animaciones aburridas y no especifican en ningún lado que en media pensión hay que pagar bebidas hasta el agua!

Contrate media pension y en la cena solo me dieron agua mientras todos los turistas bebian vino y refrescos.

It was very old building, so many cracks on the walls in my balcony and room. The walls were so dirty, The receptionists were not welcome at all, not understand English at all. I reserved 2 pool view but they have us one of the room pool view and they are not even answer me why. The food was horrible, plates, spoon and glasses were so dirty. We did not eat there at all. Expedia has to investigate about this hotel, service was horrible. The pictures on the website is totally different from reality.

Estuvimos con media pensión y la comida bastante variada,sin grandes lujos pero buena El desayuno tb bastante bien sobre todo por el precio. Reserve media pension y a la hora de cenar me quitaron la botella ee vino de la mesa. Dijeron que solo podia beber agua. Me senti himillado y descriminado.

You obviously get what you pay for. This was a cheap few days away so we weren’t expecting much. The rooms are very dated but was clean and fine. Food was ok but always cold despite being under lamps. We were only there for four days, I think you’d get bored with the choice for any longer. Pool was nice, outside area was nice. Overall my general review is ‘It was ok’
