The location was perfect, all the shops and restaurants were within walking distance. our room was big with a kitchen which came in handy. The staff were very friendly, helpful and solved the reported problems very quickly. Just be aware that some parts of the hotel are still going through renovation, so you may hear some minor noise and see traces of unfinished work in or outside of the rooms but nothing really got in our way. I will be happy to come back to stay here again in the future.

Great location. Walking distance from places we wanted to see. Kitchen available was good. Unfortunately the property was under construction. My biggest issue was the available laundry machines did not work well. Ended up not being able to fully dry a suitcase full of clothes and had to take them as is to our next stop on the trip

The hotel is conveniently located, the front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. The apartment was spacious with a separate bedroom that had a good size closet. We were happy to find that there was a self-serve laundry on-site (3 machines, 35Kr per wash and per dry and the front desk has soap pods). We would consider staying here again. We did find that, like all the hotels we stayed in on our trip in the Netherlands and Norway, the arrangement of having a duvet/comforter to sleep under meant we had trouble sleeping comfortably—either too warm/hot or too cool. Adjusting the thermostat down did not seem to help. We resorted to removing the comforter from it’s cover so we could use just the cover. The second common problem, again not unique to this property is the curb at the enhance to the bathroom, we understand the reason for it but urge all hoteliers to design the top edge of the curb with a distinct, eye-catching design. Weary guests who are not expecting a curb can have real problems tripping on these. And the final common problem is that the floors of the shower stalls have no apparent anti-slip surface and in the absence of a simple grab bar can make entering and exiting a bit scary.

As a couple with an 18 month old toddler we had a good 2 night stay at the Ole Bull. It’s in such a great location, with many points of interest within walking distance. We requested a cot when booking and it was ready in our room upon arrival. Our room was a good size and the main living area was modern. There were good amenities in the kitchen and having the ability to screencast on the TV was ideal. There are also self-serve laundry facilities for a small fee which was fantastic to have as we had a short stop on a long trip. We found the staff at the hotel to be friendly and helpful. However, we found the apartment to be incredibly dark and was not as clean as we would have liked it to have been, with a lot of dust and crumbs in the fridge. The sofa was incredibly uncomfortable - definitely more style over substance. We had seen other reviews about noise levels of the nightclub over the weekend and although we did not experience this (Sunday and Monday stay) we experienced a lot of noise from other guests with children running around our floor screaming and shouting for long periods of time after 9pm both nights - a real issue when you have a little one in bed.

Location is great, in the city centre, few minutes to the fish market and Bryggen Wharf. Only issue is there's no parking. You need to park in the nearby public carpark. It costs 240Nok per day after registering the car from the hotel.

A very well managed and located hotel in easy walking distance of everything in Bergen. Staff were wonderful and very helpful offering lots of good advice. A real bonus to have larger rooms with separate sitting area. Laundry was a big plus. Bertha and Julie looked after us extremely well.

Le point négatif serait les travaux en cours. Nous ne mettons pas une mauvaise appréciation car le problème est ponctuel mais les ouvriers démarrent à 7h du matin et ne sont pas tous discrets lorsqu'ils arrivent à notre étage (7ème). Bruit de perceuse dés 8h-8h30, dur dur pour nous qui étions là pour 5 nuits...

There was zero mention that this hotel would be under construction upon booking. Our room was not clean. The bathroom had urine on the toilet and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The guest on our floor were loud all night long slamming doors, which was made worse by the fact that it’s just concrete interior currently. There was no one to tell this to because the front desk closes at 5pm. Do not recommend in its current state, hopefully improvements are coming.

The only thing about cleanliness that draw attention was the oven. Had to ask the receptionist twice to get it cleaned up. The cleaning result was unsatisfactory, so had to ask them do it again. Other than that, we greatly enjoyed our stay—me, my wife, and our 8-year-old daughter.

Fiquei hospedado 6 dias no hotel. Super bem localizado e os funcionários atenciosos. Pena que o horário da recepção é bem curto (10:00-18:00). parte ruim foi a limpeza e os utensilios da cozinha... Eles limparam o quarto uma única vez, e quando limparam, retiraram alguns utensilios do quarto. Estavamos em 4 pessoas, porém só haviam 2 garfos, rsrs O fogão eletrico dava problema todo o tempo que íamos cozinhar, e tínhamos que religar a central de energia para conseguir terminar de fazer a refeição. Chuveiro muito bom e quarto bem silencioso.

Large room, great walkable location. however there is no way to adjust the temperature in the room. Also, the shower drain doesnt work well and gets the whole bathroom floor wet. Also, no vent in shower. I would not stay here again.

I like the location. We did not have bedding for sofa bed for the third person when we arrived. We had to wait one hour to get them. The ceiling on top of the sofa bed is very low and dangerous as I hit my head as I was getting up and caused headache.

Great location and very walkable plus lots of dining options. Very close to tram and busses and about a 10 min walk from train station. Hotel room/apartment was nicely decorated and comfortable. Good space for bed areas. A little tight to use the kitchen in the room so we didn’t end up cooking in the room as it was too close to the bed area. Friendly check in staff, just odd that reception was closed sometimes. Didn’t affect us though.

We really enjoyed our stay here - it is a short 3 minute walk from the Byparken station on the light rail from the airport. The area is very walkable - you can walk over to Bryggen in 10 minutes. There are a few convenience stores and grocery stores near by - which is nice because we were quite jet lagged and didn’t have the energy to stay up for dinner while here. Although the hotel didn’t include breakfast, that didn’t bother us. It was pretty quiet although I think some of the rooms facing the main road may possibly hear noise from the night club underneath. All in all, we thought this was a great option and very very clean with comfortable beds.

We stayed at Ole Bull and found the location absolutely excellent — just a short walk to the shopping centre, Bryggen market, and many other attractions. Our room on the third floor was very comfortable, with a good-sized TV and Chromecast option. We also appreciated the laundry facility, which was very handy during our trip. The only downside was the noise outside late at night (until around 4 a.m.), with loud music and people shouting, singing, and partying — understandable as it’s right in the city centre near pubs, but worth noting for light sleepers. Overall, a great stay if you value location and convenience and don’t mind a lively nightlife atmosphere outside.

We stayed in an apartment which was excellent on so many levels, especially its location to local sights and transport; nothing was more than 10 minutes walk. Large clean rooms, excellent shower, Rituals amenities. Fabulous kitchenette. Nice clean furniture and wardrobes. Friendly staff. The only thing that was negative was the noise from the nightlife that went on outside at weekends until 3:30am. Must have bars and clubs in the road, the music, chatter and glass bottles being thrown in a bottle bank every hour or so was very loud. We’re not prudes but when you’re trying to sleep it’s hard. It was also the same on Thursday night, although Sunday and Monday were quiet. Don’t know about Tues or Weds. Maybe it’s weekends only. Shutting the windows did dampen the noise but as it was (unusually) warm whilst we were there, we had to have them open as no air con (I assume not usually needed in Norway). The helpful staff gave us a desk fan when I asked. I am a light sleeper so unfortunately had no sleep the first few nights. I’d say take ear plugs and ask for a fan. Perhaps the bars don’t stay open like this past the summer months. It’s such a lovely convenient hotel/apartments that it’s definitely worth checking as it may be quieter other times of the year.

Super location, walking distance to everything. Parking near by. Room was actually a mini apartment with new kitchen and very comfortable bed. Restaurant on top floor was very good too. It is in centre so you have to live with a bit of noise from outside and no air conditioning so can be a bit warm but overall I would definitely recommend staying here.

Very impressed with hotel staff Mr Harris, whom is very friendly. The location is superb and cleanliness of hotel is great. A very good and pleasant stay with here. You can go to the supermarket nearby and buy groceries and make your own morning breakfast before exploring Bergen. Coffee can be easily purchased at the lobby and enjoy it daily! Highly recommended!

The location is good, in the downtown area. You could hear the music from the bar until 2am even with all the windows closed. There is a kitchen- the reason we chose this location since we have kids but there was only one small pot to cook with, no salt/pepper, no paper towels in the kitchen etc. very bare bones. There’s no hair cream or lotion. It’s just very basic.
