The key cards didn’t work. The water pressure ins the shower was abysmal and the water was lukewarm. Desk staff was absent from the desk more than once. The hotel was loud. Gym equipment was broken.

Parking was kinda weird but there were plenty of spots. Only complaints are having to get my key card reset and one of the shower heads were broken.

Excellent facilities

Very clean and modern. Only ding was fire alarm in room had a blinking light on it that kep flashing

Fort Ben, Tru, excellent location, quiet, near parks, public transportation, plenty of restaurants. Check in was easy, staff were friendly. The hotel bed was an absolute dream, the pillows were great too. I swear the rooms were so quiet, never heard other occupants. Clean, new, modern hotel and pet friendly!

First room broken, then at 2 a.n fire alarm going off, people in lobby drinking and being loud, not worth the money we spent

No pool. Overpriced however for where it was located. Rooms were nice enough

My first room (room 314) had a trash bag of linens sitting outside my door from Sunday evening when I arrived through Monday morning when I moved them next to the elevator. I had extremely limited TV. The hallway was filthy with various food and debris. This was present from Sunday until Monday night. It was reported by the staff that they had not had TV in multiple rooms since a storm hit the previous week which was several days earlier. I mentioned the lack of TV and they said they knew about the problem and maintenance would be there later on Monday. When I returned Monday afternoon, I still did not have any TV. I was then told maintenance did not come on Monday's. They switched me to a second room. This room also did not have TV and had a horrible smell coming from the toilet. Room 307 I was switched to room 326 which still had extremely limited TV. Room 307 and 326 were NOT the rooms I paid for!!! Tuesday morning, I got a cup of ice on the 3rd floor and there was a needle on the floor in front if the ice machine. Tuesday afternoon, the TV was finally working, the halls were cleaned. I was told Monday evening I would be getting a credit for the inconvenience and the manager would be reaching out to me. Wednesday morning at checkout I was told that the manage was once again going to be reaching out to me but as of 2 days later no call and no credit for my room. I'm thoroughly disappointed in my stay at TRU by Hilton at the Lawerence location.

The showers could have had a better cleaning but other than that, it was very welcoming and the experience was enjoyable.

I had issue with getting bitten in the bed me and my grandchildren. So asked to be moved. A couple of other things GM wanted to speak with me regarding something that had no concerns of the hotel at all.The housekeepers don't clean the rooms properly not according to sanitation rules. I didn’t stay till the 14th I left on the 11th. Do no it wasn't as pleasant as it should be. I'm looking for a refund for those day I didn't stay

The room was very clean and well managed. Staff was very helpful and kind checking in.

Something in the bed was biting me and my grandchildren asked for a room change since the move not one of us has been bitten.

I’m in Rm 319 and can literally hear the baby crying in the room next door. I didn’t sleep but about 3-4hrs on Thanksgiving Night. Now is 10:40ish pm an I’m back in the room listening to the TV next door. This is bonkers

Clean, breakfast is always good at Tru and the staff is super helpful. There was minimal hot water in the shower and low water pressure.

Tv didn’t work in our original room so we were moved to another room. Tv in new room kept cutting in and out and we finally did without it. Employees were great

Building is poorly constructed and cheap. Heard every footstep from the room above mine. Clean room. Friendly staff. Only complaint is the thin walls and floors.

We love Tru properties. This one has had problems with TV service for ‘awhile’. Had to watch the NCAA tourney in the lobby. Lovely staff and nice room made it nice. Disappointed third party booking doesn’t accrue Hilton points.

The room and hotel was beautiful and clean. The front desk staff was friendly. My main concern is I didn’t sleep a wink! The noise from what I can only assume was the AC was so loud. I turned it off and it continued. Then there was a clicking noise that happened about every hour. It was jolting. I never found where this was coming from. I stayed on the 3rd floor and my colleague stayed on the 4th, she had the same experience.

This hotel is more concerned about being a green hotel than the comfort of their guests. The shower was terrible - hardly lukewarm water with extremely low water pressure. The soap and shampoo were hard to dispense. The decor was non existent - no dressers, etc. It’s like a warehouse with very little warmth. I would NOT recommend staying here. I won’t be back!

Mostly a pleasant stay. Its new, modern and convenient to the locations we were visiting. We did have to tape over a lot of annoying flashing smoke alarm and preamp lights to make the room dark at night but removed it before leaving. water pressure was adequate but would lower after five minutes

Loved the hotel. Only thing I didn’t like was there are no microwaves in the rooms.

Clean and modern. Front office staff super nice; ms Jackson and Val I believe. Definitely one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at.

KaSandra was VERY RUDE! No welcome, refused to give receipts, double charged on my debit card. Never smiled. Very rude and unprofessional

The hotel was overall decent, but we experienced several issues during our stay. Our room keys were disabled multiple times, and we weren’t informed that the front desk doors would be locked after 11 PM. Housekeeping was also inconsistent, only cleaning our room once during our 5-day stay. To top it off, when we attempted to check out, the front desk employee was asleep on a couch in the lounge during their shift. Breakfast didn’t disappoint though!

Fairly new hotel. Clean room and friendly staff. There was an issue inside the room that couldn’t get fixed right away, front desk staffs tried their best to help, eventually front desk manager Jai was able to come up with the solution quickly. I would stay there again because of Jai’s professionalism and her crew.

We found that our room was very comfortable and pleasant. We particularly want to thank the staff especially the hotel manager, Ardell for attending to our needs. Great service and friendliness

Front desk staff was wonderful!

When I came to my room, I noticed there was no TV remote. The front desk gave me one, and it didn’t work. At 12:40 AM there was someone knocking on doors, I called the front desk to ask if they could check on my floor. I called at least 5 times and there was no answer.

Accommodations were wonderful. Late night check in staff not so much. She acted as if she was annoyed to be at work.

I was unable to get any response from Hotels.com to help, despite multiple attempts. Only a chat box to help that was not responded to. I was told Tru Hilton front desk they would not help me because I used a third party, Hotels. Com. I ended up spending 5 hours trying to resolve this through Hiltin Honors that did actually respond. I wound up paying more for a complete other Hilton at midnight and zero refund or help from Tru Hilton. Tru overbooked two rooms I booked, paid, and had confirmation for, over a week before. Tru insisted I had only one room. I had my 15 year old son, and one player from his hockey team and my fiance and literally no room. The front desk was incredibly rude and on my third trip to the desk and three calls to Hiltom to resolve, after I was told there were no rooms, gave a room to a man in front of me. The attendant told him "its marked dirty, but Ill put you in it", AFTER she told me they were overbooked.

Very nice. Area around hotel and local restaurants had very little outside lighting. Difficult to see where you were parking or turning onto streets.

We stayed here after a concert at Ruoff. It was about a 20 minute drive back once we got out of the parking lot, and it wasn’t congested at all getting from the venue to the hotel. Staff were great, the entire hotel was spotless, and the area around the hotel was fantastic. We would absolutely come back here and recommend it to anyone heading to the area- it was perfect.

This hotel was nice, clean and in a nice area. My husband and I had some time to kill before our concert, and we enjoyed walking trails near the property.

The place is approximately 30 min car ride away from downtown. If you decide to take the bus, which is around two blocks away from the building, the bus ride takes an hour to get to downtown.

It was very clean and close to a lovely park.

We've been through a few hotels so far on our road trip and this Tru in Lawrence, IN has been the BEST! We are a family with 2 basically under 2 years of age so we're picky with where we stay: hotel itself AND the area. We were so pleasantly surprised with the town of Lawrence, specifically this newer construction area near Otis. Everything we needed was walking distance! A brand new public library, stores, multiple food options, playgrounds. The hotel seemed to be very new as well. It was so clean and comfortable! I didn't feel like we'd find anything gross or moldy in our room. The lobby area was fresh and the breakfast was superb! I have to give a special shout-out to the staff because each of them went above and beyond to welcome us and make sure we and our babies were taken care of. Specifically, Terrence was very personable and gave us some awesome recommendations for what to do in the area with our littles. He went out of his way to gather information for us and make life easier for us! I highly recommend this hotel because of its cleanliness, staff and safe environment / location. We'd visit again FOR SURE!

Overall it was pleasant stay. Staffs were friendly and the complementary breakfasts were good. It's nearby the railway and I could still hear the train horns at night.

The hotel is relatively new and well maintained. Rooms have a lot of thoughtful touches including lots of plugs, place for your suitcase and lots of places to hang things. Free Breakfast was better than most hotels. Staff was always present and quick to help. Overlooks a strip mall, so nothing much to look at, but convenient and safe location.

We treat ourselves to an occasional local stay and chose this one because we watched the hotel go up. Except for a microwave and coffeemaker in the room, we couldn't have asked for more. The breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast was bland, there really wasn't any reason this room should be nearly $200 a night with zero reasons. Also the $5 bottles of water?!

Morning front desk staff were so nice and helpful. Very clean hotel and very modern. Close to restaurants and a cute little area. I will be staying there again. Breakfast wasn’t great. It was lacking. IHOP is across the street along with Jacks donuts. CVS is walkable if you forget some toiletries.
