Staff very friendly, and welcoming. They made sure we had everything we needed. A quaint little place, ideal stay if going only for a few nights. They have a fire pit, need to bring your own wood, no ice machine, also need to bring your own ice.. A non functioning empty pool. So if you have kiddos who want to swim in a pool, that wont happen. Overall it was a quiet stay for 2 nights, we enjoyed it.

This place was very neat and tidy. My room was great. Bed comfy. The room looks fairly recently renovated and is modern looking. The grounds are in the process of being renovated but are still usable. Lots of picnic table seating and a nice fire pit. It looks like the pool isn't functioning at this time. I would definitely stay here again. Only concern; no a/c. It wasn't hot when I stayed but I'm not sure how it is when it's hot. Also a full length or large mirror would be nice to see how you look. Wonderful friendly staff.

Nice place overall. No ice machine and the pool has no water. Shower is beyond tiny and has a not stating to run it for a while as it takes time to get hot. After 20 minutes it was still only room temp. and could not be adjusted.

This place is disappointing in that it appears to have once been charming. It is in disarray. The ice machine doesn't work, the pool was empty. Empty flower pots, Front lobby was closed with a sign to text to check in. Outdoor furniture needs updating. The place has excellent bones and a great location it's just not taken care of. It was clean which is appreciated. The location is great. Burger place next door is yummy. Hopefully the owners can take some pride and put a little upkeep in a place that could be great.

Ok the service here was great. I wish I could rate it full stars for the service alone. Downsides were that The pool was out of service, but I wasn’t expecting it to be open anyways, and the pool wasn’t advertised. Also there is no AC in the rooms and I need the temp to be very cold when I sleep so that was a dealbreaker for us booking there again. Also, at one point we opened the back window (which had no screen) and there was a bear outside the window because the trash cans were literally right outside the back of our window. So in addition to it being hot, we couldnt open the back window to get airflow because the bear lunged at my husband when he had looked out there. Very clean, water was scalding hot, or cold, had to find the sweet spot.

wonderful location.,, quiet, I know that you have been remodeling, but maybe the room we had was not completely done. no screens on the windows, was a hot day and the heater was on and we could not turn if off, could not reach the on off switch on the fan, very limited supplies in the 'kitchen" only two towels for a 3 night stay.

Tall beautiful trees outside our window! Being able to sit in comfortable chairs outside our room and enjoy. Thank you! Public beach close by - would be nice to get the swimming pool fixed though... I know, it's costly, but for some of us "Oldies" Lake Tahoe is a bit chilly. But no complaints, many thanks!

When I booked this place, it was advertised as 2 rooms instead of 2 beds. The windows were dirty, the smell was horrible. I had to sleep with the windows open all night.

Total regret on staying here. Unit was dirty and unsafe. Floors were dirty. All counters and table was not wiped down and the dishwasher had dirty dishes and food. There were a couple large stains on bedspread. The kicker was mouse droppings on the kitchen. That and exposed electrical outlet and no smoke alarm for a unit that had a stove. A terrible combination of dirty and uninhabitable. Would not recommend.

I didn’t expect much going into it as I knew it was a lower rate, but it was probably the worst room we have stayed in. Our non-smoking room smelt so heavily of smoke and some sort of fragrance spray they had tried to use to cover the smell. All of our allergies were out of control the entire weekend when we were in the room because of that so we were miserable. There were spiders in every corner of the room, including the shower. The shower needed a good scrubbing as you could see mildew build up on corners, no ac in the room and all the screens were either broken or there weren’t one. No counter spaces. Luckily we had no plans to use the pool as it was empty with only about a foot of black water left in it. During check in no one was there and was advised to lift the tissue box and to grab a certain card # but all the other cards also under the tissue box displayed room #s and the codes to enter those rooms so not the most safe way to go about. Would not recommend to anyone.

Wow this place is so unacceptable it is surprising it is still in business. Our room smelled strongly of urine/mold/water damage, the bed sheets had dirt and a spider in them, the towels were stained, and the walls had holes in them. The horrible smell of the room made it hard to sleep. We booked the place in a rush and didn’t read all the reviews but saw that it was rated as a 3.5 star hotel with a “Good” average rating on hotels.com. We had booked the place for 2 nights and wouldn’t have stayed at this place at all after seeing it. However, we arrived at 1:30am after a long drive and didn’t want to find another place to crash (although we did consider sleeping in our car instead of staying in the room). We left the room at 7am to head to the slopes, relieved to be gone from this horrible place. Additionally, when we arrived to check in at 1:30am (which was within the acceptable check-in window as advertised by the hotel), there was no one at the front desk. We called the hotel and they directed us to another guest’s room and had the guest come out to meet us to give us the key. This felt super unprofessional and unsafe. After reading some of the other reviews, we can see that other guests have had similarly unsafe experiences with key security at this hotel. Do not book this place, you will regret it!

The room: hair in the shower, stained towels, lumpy (broken?) bed, no hooks in the bathroom for the towels and no closet or the ability to hang anything up; everything draped on a chair or dropped on the floor. Saw a receptacle for a smoke detector, but no detector was there. Very disappointing because the receptionist was really nice.

Bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Walls were paper thin so you could hear every conversation and action next door. No AC. Bare minimum furnishings. No side tables in the bedroom. No screen on the bathroom window looked out onto an alley. Stick on decorative frostings on the windows that weren’t fully stuck. No shades. Shower door was from 1956. The pool was filled with mud. Not a great experience at all and certainly not worth the money. The coffee was good at least.

The listing claimed the room had A/C, but there was not. The windows didn’t have screens either, so we were eaten alive by mosquitoes all night. Pictures are misleading - certainly make it look like a private bungalow or something. They are really just drive up motel rooms. The property has been renovated, and the staff is very friendly.

The hot water in the bathroom sink was anything but hot. Luke warm at best. Hot water in kitchen sink and bathroom had to be turned on for a good 7-10 minutes before getting hot. Also the Wifi was very "spotty".

It was ok. With the pictures I thought that a suite was a private cabin, but it is just a regular room with shared walls. It was fine, definitely on the rustic side, but it was on the charming side. I think I would try another place next time though.

I got in quite late. The front door was locked, but I was able to coordinate with staff to get in and get situated. The bed was comfortable. The room was very small, no living space, but as I spent most of my time outdoors this was fine for me. Bathroom was also tiny, and if I were to come with my whole family, I might need to ensure the suite had a bit more space. Checkin/Checkout easy.

No AC, no window screens on the windows so you risk bugs flying into your room if you open a window. The place is clean however does need some TLC. The woman at the desk tho was super sweet and helpful. Not sure if I would care to stay her again but if I have to for the price its an option.

The room was small but comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The AC was an in wall unit that was difficult to reach the control due to a counter built over it. Our unit had recently been renovated with new flooring, newly painted. Overall it was just fine for a one night stay. It would be a bit small for a longer stay.

It was okay. It was cheap, and I got what I paid for. The lone staff member whom should have been at the front desk for my check in was at wal mart. It was a $250 room, but on a very busy weekend, and it was the cheapest thing around. It was worth no more than $100 on a typical weekend though.

We ended up getting stuck in kirkwood for the night and requested a late check out when we could leave the mountain. The staff was relieved when we made it back and they allowed us to stay an extra night free of charge. This staff cares about your safety and well being. The room itself was perfect- I love the simplicity and feeling of being in a private cabin. Wonderful!

This property was great! We needed accommodations for an earlier check in time to make it to a wedding on time and they were more than happy to help. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. The location is quiet, but has a lot of food and activity options very close by.

Opted to "pay at check in" but credit card was charged 1 day before our check in date. Was told room wouldn't be ready until 3:30-4 even though check in clearly states 3pm. Was even asked if "we could go somewhere until it's finished"... after driving a few hours we wanted to unload our luggage, let the dogs roam etc, not leave and come back because they can't have a room ready on time. Confronted management about this and was given multiple excuses of why the room wasn't ready. First it was because they actually have a check in time of 3 to 5 pm. Then told they were short staffed. Last but not least, was told the lock on the room needed to be changed. Upon getting into the room late (we got there at about 2:50 and finally was given the room around 3:30), discovered they had no screens on the windows, yet it's summer and mosquitoes are out in force. No AC. Bathroom was not clean, it still had dirty towels on the ground and the "new" pin code lock was faulty and started making noises like it was wanting to lock/unlock without anybody trying to use it. Oh and what a nice pool they have, too bad it has no water in it. Real top notch. All in all this place is a dump with piss poor management. We were asked if we wanted a refund pretty fast because we were confronting management about above issues. I would never consider staying there again and I hope this review dissuades anybody thinking of staying there. The only good thing I can say is that they did refund me immediately.

Very good value for the price. We came for a clean, quiet, and safe place to hit the pillows after intense skiing days and we got what we sought. The facility is older, and looks a bit dark at first sight, but was very clean an had everything we needed. The owners/staff went out of their way to be accommodating. They had real dishes, brought in a microwave and little table, matches, extra towels, extra blankets, had fruit, waffles, granola bars, and juice to grab for free- really nice. Very convenient parking, quiet location.

We were going to get in LATE (1am), Cody at the front desk was very accommodating and made the process so easy. The room was cute and had a coffee maker by the bedside. Great location for the event we attended.

This hotel is a complete rip off. The room looked nothing like the photos. It is completely run down and nothing like it was pictured. If I would have seen the rooms ahead of time I never would have paid to stayed there. I wanted to go to the front desk to ask for a refund but everytime I went up there the lobby was empty. They don’t even have anyone working the front desk.

Arrived late & got a text with our room number & code, walked in on a couple sleeping in our room. Called hotel about 4 times, finally got a hold of someone and they said wrong room so they were gonna text us new room. After 10 minutes of waiting for new room number, never got a text so we called back. They sent our new room number to a different number, told them to send to the one we’re calling off of. Finally got a text with new room number. After 30 mins of being in our room, someone tried opening our door because they also received wrong room number. Felt so unsafe, will never come back. Also had dirty & wet towels in bathroom?

Tall beautiful trees outside our window! Being able to sit in comfortable chairs outside our room and enjoy. Thank you! Public beach close by - would be nice to get the swimming pool fixed though... I know, it's costly, but for some of us "Oldies" Lake Tahoe is a bit chilly. But no complaints, many thanks!

This place was very neat and tidy. My room was great. Bed comfy. The room looks fairly recently renovated and is modern looking. The grounds are in the process of being renovated but are still usable. Lots of picnic table seating and a nice fire pit. It looks like the pool isn't functioning at this time. I would definitely stay here again. Only concern; no a/c. It wasn't hot when I stayed but I'm not sure how it is when it's hot. Also a full length or large mirror would be nice to see how you look. Wonderful friendly staff.

We really liked the family cabin. It had it's own entrance which was nice. You could tell it was an old building but had a modern day vibe. There's a burger place right next door in case you get hungry.

The photos of this place are so inaccurate. This is a run down motel. I didn’t sleep at all. Headlights outside all night. Thin walls with loud parking lot noise and neighbors. The room had dirt in every corner, disconnected smoke detectors and carbon monoxide. Just not worth $200 at all.
