This boutique hotel was the nicest room I’ve stayed in for a long time. The bed was so comfy, the bathtub was deep and beautifully relaxing. The amenities were there even real mugs for coffee which you rarely see anymore. Pub/restaurant below was great lots of atmosphere and live entertainment. Nice surprise along with friendly staff.

No hot water at 10h30 pm for a shower. Narrow stairs to go up our room. No parking at hotel. No free breakfast. Hair blower had no heat. Very loud since there's a pub downstairs so they offer earplugs on night table.

It’s a great place to stay. Downtown Moncton walking distance from Main St. Also having the restaurant. st-James Gate on the main floor with the patio is awesome. Public parking across the street is about $18 a day. It’s a self check-in but the communication between the hotel via text is great and they are quick to answer. You will receive a text with your room Number, a code for the main door and a code for the lock box so you get your 2 card key. It was a first for us but we liked the experience. The view on the next building isn’t that great but we were only there to sleep and experience downtown Moncton. So it wasn’t and issue for us. We will go again.

I liked it was close to.everything we had planned. I didn like the mold in the shower, the peeling leather chairs and the fact there was no staff to go to if you have an issue .

The room was nice and clean in a great location It is self check in so there is no onsite reception, you must be comfortable using technology to check-in and receive the codes to enter and retreive your key card. There is also no elevator so pack light. Overall it was a lovely stay with nice rooms.

When arrived, it smelled like moisture and there is rust on light fixtures and metals. Hook for the bathroom towels are broken , no shampoo, no soap in the dispenser. The room was warm and hard to adjust, floor kept cracking all night, tv is in green and blue Colors only. It was by far our worst hotel ever

Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. WIFI was a little spotty and hard to connect to. Dropped frequently. Not that big of a deal seeing as we were out of the room for most of the day. Overall i would recommend them and stay there again.

The room furnishings/style/decor were good, clean and comfortable. However it didn't have a window to the outside of the building. It had a window overlooking the downstairs bar/restaurant. St James Gate is a popular bar that presents live music. It's a great place to hang out but that means the noise impacts the room until the bar closes (around 1pm). Otherwise the room was quiet and I didn't experience much noise from other rooms. I did find it to be a good experience, but people should be prepared for the impact of the bar below. The bathroom was modern and good but the shower has only one setting. The fan in the bathroom was loud, not an issue for me but may bother some. Overall, I would recommend the hotel, and may stay there again.

The room was very nicely decorated and unique layout. The disadvantage was going up three flights of stairs. One floor lamp was broken and the pillows were very thick and there were no other choices. The hotel does not have any human atdff at the location so room cards are made available in a lockbox with a code sent by email. The side for door entry was also sent by email. This could be problematic for some guests.

PROS: Great self check in. Good entertainment in the bar later in the evening. CONS: the mattress was too hard, the baby curtains would close out light through the blinds cone 6:30, room overlooked a dumpster which also was picked up 7am. Nick picks I know but overall good 4.5 of 5 stay.

Great stay, nice room, clean and comfortable. Only complaints are that 1) there is no privacy for the toilet, it is visible directly through the shower from the room and 2) the entrance to the hotel is not clearly marked as there are three doors labeled hotel entrance, only one of which allows you in. Now that I know, I’d gladly stay again though.

Absolutely loved our stay! We stayed in the executive suite, which had an awesome large tub to relax in and a comfy king size bed. The restaurant was ridiculously good, like mouth watering, licking plate clean good. Would highly recommend and will absolutely be returning.

Overall a good experience. We didn’t like that you could see the toilet through the glass shower from the bed. Seems a bit unprivate, even for a close clouple like we are! We could also hear people walking in the corridor behind our bed, quite late at night....but that is the nature of a downtown hotel I guess. Because of the toilet location, we probably wouldn't book here again, or maybe try a different room. Otherwise everything was good!

Great location and room was very spacious. The bathroom was large and great shower. However, it would have been beneficial to have a larger fridge and one that is cold. It would have been great if there was a microwave in the room.

We got locked out of our hotel our keys didn't work and we were eligible to get back in the building and there's never anybody on the inside it's a self-checking hotel. We got back after midnight and we're not able to get in for approximately half an hour

It was close from the downtown area. Don't know where to park or where to go to have access to the room. Have a few security checkpoint before getting into the room. Seems quiet and clean. They forgot to mention I had to pay for a parking garage nearby. You can't pay at the desk, everything have to be done online. Couldn't cancel my reservation on the same day, 15 min after I rented it...because they gave me a room elsewhere.

I would just say that it’s confusing to find the right door to go in initially. They have this big sign above an outside door that says it’s the hotel entrance, but that’s not the first entrance you need. That’s only for AFTER you get your room key. It’s the doors two down to the left. But other than that things were fine, but I wonder how things may have been different if there had been an issue with no front desk staff to call on.i would stay again though, overall good experience.

The hotel was nice! There is no front desk but the information they sent for check in made it easy. I wouldn’t book this hotel if I planned to arrive late at night as you can’t check in if the restaurant that’s attached is closed for the night. Overall, I would stay again

I didn't like the self check-in. The constant reminders for a registration online by sms when I already did it. The empty shampoo dispenser. The fact that nobody answers SMS after 7 pm. The expensive price.

We had zero contact check in, which was fine. We had very regular contact from hotel checking on our arrival and explaining the process. The first time doing that but we had our keys, didn't have to wait in line and got right into our room. The room was very clean, bright and had some nice decor. It was a bit loud being near the very busy restaurant/bar with loud music going very late downstairs but we expected that and it didn't bother us. The price of what we got I felt reflected that. We would go back to the hotel. The restaurant in the same hotel however "lost"our "confirmed" reservation and we had to scramble for dinner for our anniversary. We drove out of town for both spots. Hotel we liked, restaurant zero stars.

Best deal in Moncton for sure the place is affordable , clean and pretty . Located in the heart of downtown got all the essentials and the food from downstairs is pretty good ! Most big branded hotel aren’t really much better and this place will be half the price . Definitely a hidden jem if you don’t wana spend too much .

The room was lovely and comfortable, the process of checking in and getting keys was fairly easy. Would suggest maybe a microwave in the rooms (there was none in mine) -- ordered food from the restaurant downstairs and would love have been able to reheat leftovers. Otherwise, excellent!
