We stayed for four nights, and we were very pleased. it’s an older hotel, but it was well kept. Room was clean, and mostly well maintained. Walls were soundproof, but not the front door so much. As we can hear people talking in the hallway very easily. Bed was comfortable, and clean as well. Vanessa at the front desk was great. Friendly, always available, and helpful. We had a suite which had a sink, stove, refrigerator, and microwave. We did not need to use the stove but having the refrigerator was a very big plus for us. Another nice touch was having a sliding patio door that faced the back of the hotel, where there was a field. For the very reasonable price, it was worth the money. We would stay here again.

When all the hotels in Binghamton were booked solid for a big golf tournament we took a chance on the Colonial Brick Inn not far away (about 25 minutes) in Hallstead PA. The place appears to date from the 1960s-70s but was in good shape. Our room was on the first floor as requested, a short walk down the hall from the front of the building. It was spacious and freshly painted with a pair of firm queen beds, a small microwave, and apartment-size fridge with separate freezer. Everything was clean and worked well. Bedding was fresh and clean, towels were soft. Wifi was excellent. The bathroom was small but equipped with new fixtures and a marble tub/shower enclosure. There was a sliding patio door which opened onto a large lawn--a couple of chairs & table were provided to sit outdoors. Around this lawn were other buildings belonging to the Colonial Brick which contained the suites. We spent two nights and overall were pleased with the experience. Nearby are some fast food places and gas stations but the place is set back from the road so we didn't hear any outside noise. Considering the affordable rates we'd certainly consider this place an option in the future.

Clean and quiet. Ample parking. Super close to I-81. At least 2 gas stations right next to the hotel, also a restaurant and convenience type food/coffee. Traffic light at the end of the entrance driveway so you don't have to fight for an opening if you are pulling a trailer or have a big awkward vehicle. Excellent value for the cost.

Room was dirty, Paper and Trash under and behind the bed. Mold around all edges of tub, Ceiling tiles broken in several places, Roaches, But at least no bedbugs that I seen. Unfortunately not much else in area as far as motels.

We were not impressed at all. Wanted 1st floor.....got 2nd floor....has a much better view....1 small window over AC unit that was facing the highway No coffee maker in the room when asked for the owner had not gotten one yet. The people before us destroyed the one in there. The refrigerator made a horrible noise and was filthy inside. The shower curtain was discussing.... stained or had mold on it. The bed cover had cuts/rips. We'll not stay or recommend this place to anyone.

It was not clean. They had NO hand towels. There were no hangers in the closet. There was almost 3 inches of ice buildup in the freezer, which means we couldn't use it. The pillowcases were dirty. We had an ice bucket lid, but no ice bucket.

Room was very nice and comfortable. The thing that was disappointing was they changed the cable channels there. Make us watch Binghamton television stations instead of Wilkes barre Scranton and the channels kept cutting out too on the other stations. Really stinks.

The window air conditioner had a 3” gap that let bugs in…brutal I fixed it with 4” wide tape I had in my work truck! Used to be a great spot to spit but must have changed ownership? Really gone down hill, will not be returning, just a hell hole!

What i didnt like was that the walls are so thin, we heard someone television all night long. We were so tired tho' , we did get some sleep. Other than that the facility itself was good for our one night stay.

The property and room were good, very clean, economical, and very convenient. The check-in was not. I booked online but no one was in the office when we got there. A phone number was displayed in the office in order to call someone to the desk. I am Canadian and my cell phone does not work in the USA for phone calls, only wifi use. I had no way to contact anyone. I was a little paniced at first since the room was already paid for. I had to walk behind the check-in counter and use the office wall phone. I should not have to do that. Even a wifi connection to messenger would have worked if that had been an option.

For the past 2 years, I've been staying at this hotel every time I needed to be in the area. Historically, it's been bare bones but adequate (no on site breakfast but close enough to enough restaurants/fast food that it wasn't a problem), but this time was not ideal. Our original room had a broken toilet paper holder, and I requested another room immediately upon recognizing this issue so that it would be clear that we were not the ones that caused damages. The staff was rude, and said they'd "leave a note" and we had to pushback just to get a new room. We did eventually, but the entire transaction wasn't pleasant. When I turned on the shower in the replacement room, the water originally came out brown but eventually ran clear. Since I had already requested to have my room moved, I didn't bring this up but it wasn't pleasant. Would not stay here again going forward, after this experience.

Showed up to check in, nobody at desk, nobody answered phone. Called up in the morning and was told “no I was there” then I said what time I was there and they said “oh no I wasn’t” had to get a refund from Expedia which cost me 40 min on the phone when I was trying to enjoy a vacation

Clean comfortable room. However, I'd paid an extra fee to get a room with a king sized bed. The room had 2 twin beds. Late for an event, I didn't challenge it, but expected I'd pay the lower rate. Instead I was told that I got a full kitchen instead and no refund would be forthcoming. I didn't need a refrigerator and stove, I needed & paid for a king sized bed.

I booked my room 10 days earlier and I paid all advance but when I went to hotel at night I supposed to stay they declined me. They did not give room said they don’t have room and cancelled the room but in front of me they gave room to somebody else for more money. Where can I go at that night. I have to stay night on the road in side my car. That’s cheating. They didn’t refund me I even . I had contact for long time with Expedia to get refund but what about consequences for cheating ?? Don’t stay there. Even I didn’t get room I saw their office , hallway is very disgusting and smelly.

Value is excellent given that there is ample good food and gas right next door, security/safety was good and you are right at the exit for I-81. Downside was some elements of the room. Large but no closet or clothes rod or even hooks! Nothing to hang any clothes/coats and no hooks even in the bathroom. Shower curtain had some black streaks (mold?) and the inside of the microwave was dirty. Still, if you are OK with a safe, total no-frills room at a bargain price it will do.

Traffic light at the end of the entrance driveway so you don't have to fight for an opening if you are pulling a trailer or have a big awkward vehicle. Excellent value for the cost.

Hotel room is very nice. Recently renovated and very clean. I wanted something very simple for dinner and there was a McDonald’s right across the street. Also recommend the restaurant Tedeschi‘s.

When all the hotels in Binghamton were booked solid for a big golf tournament we took a chance on the Colonial Brick Inn not far away (about 25 minutes) in Hallstead PA. The place appears to date from the 1960s-70s but was in good shape. Our room was on the first floor as requested, a short walk down the hall from the front of the building. It was spacious and freshly painted with a pair of firm queen beds, a small microwave, and apartment-size fridge with separate freezer. Everything was clean and worked well. Bedding was fresh and clean, towels were soft. Wifi was excellent. The bathroom was small but equipped with new fixtures and a marble tub/shower enclosure. There was a sliding patio door which opened onto a large lawn--a couple of chairs & table were provided to sit outdoors. Around this lawn were other buildings belonging to the Colonial Brick which contained the suites. We spent two nights and overall were pleased with the experience. Nearby are some fast food places and gas stations but the place is set back from the road so we didn't hear any outside noise. Considering the affordable rates we'd certainly consider this place an option in the future.

The hotel is easily found coming off the freeway. My room was clean, everything working, got a good night's sleep. And area near the hotel was quiet. The only problems: the TV wouldn't turn on, even though I checked all the connections; the only dining nearby was McD, Burger King and Subway. The staff both morning and evening were pleasant--no problems.
