Such an amazing location in Cairns. Rooms were nice and clean. Pool was great. Only complaint, and even then it didn’t affect our stay at all, was the restaurant played loud music a couple nights. But I would stay here again.

Central location and we got it for a good price. Room was comfortable and in good condition. Housekeeping was a bit hit and miss. Sometimes we got shower gel/ toilet roll/coffee sometimes we didn’t. It was quickly rectified when we spoke to staff. Pool area was very clean but not the most appealing pool area I gave ever seen. The bar appears to only be open on Fridays and Saturdays. Happy hour on both of these evenings with live music and free finger food on Friday evening. I would definitely stay there again for the right price.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is well situated. They could do with more washing machines and dryers. Only one of each for the guests. Parking was also a little pricey. $25 per day when there were places near by that only charged $8 for all day parking.

Issues included a dirty room, wrappers on the floor. Found out the door to our room did not actually lock. Were told others were having the same issue. No towels as towel service didn’t work on the holiday. Staff and mgr did their best to fix issues and our experience which was appreciated but these issues should not have occurred.

When we checked in there was a small wait to find one of our two rooms but that was quickly resolved. Everything else was good. These are a regular size hotel room our room was recently redone. We asked for a different quilt and one was provided on the bed while we were out. On the fourth day the bathroom was left uncleaned but the cups were washed and put upside down in the dirty sink. This upset me as my health is important and it made me wonder if the cups we had used were clean or just wiped out. The cups in our other room were handled in the same manner. I would have given this hotel a much higher rating if this wouldn’t have happened. We stayed five nights and the front desk peeps were awesome every time we saw them.

Hotel is okay but the aircon is terrible. apparently set on 23c by the hotel. Not ideal for NQ. Be better off sleeping in the corridor as it was cooler. 2 stays in a fortnight as I made 2 bookings for separate dates at the same time. Same problem both stays Won’t be staying again

Rooms were large and in good condition. My only complaint is that the floor had an external Air Conditioner unit at the end of the hallway and was exceptionally noisy, to the point I made a complaint and was able to change rooms. If staying it would be a good Idea to request a room at the opposite end of the hallway.

The noise and loud music from Hotel Bar and Bistro from 3pm till midnight Wed to Sat really has deprived us from proper sleep for two days in a roll… they really should have those functions indoor. If your room is facing the pool, definitely you won’t be able to rest well especially when you have early morning tours booked the next day… Good points are: there is a microwave and dining ware, more convenient for instant food lovers. Room service is also great.

10月26日～28日に3泊し、29日に1泊しました。受付けの方達は一人を除きとても親切でいろいろな支援をしてくれました。有難うございます。最初の部屋（501号室）は、大きさ、清潔度もシャワーの水量もOKです。但し、何時も上階の騒音（工事の様な音）と外部から深夜の奇声や早朝の車の音があり、くつろげませんでした。また、10月28日～29日はWiFiが使用不可能でした。英語が不自由なためクレームを言えませんでした。 29日に再度1泊しました（812号室）がこの時は外部から深夜の奇声のみでした。貴ホテルの責任では無いですが、ホテル周りの環境が良くないのでしょう。貴ホテルはリニューアルされ内部も綺麗でレストランの食事もOKなのに残念です。今のところ、再度ケアンズに行くことが有っても貴ホテルは選ばないし、友人に進める気も無いです。次は改善点の提案です。 ① シャワーの水が洗面所の床に流れ出ない様にすること。（宿泊客は床拭きのために来たわけではない） ② 部屋のWiFiをモニターし顧客が快適に使用できているかチュックすること。部屋の不具合状態を電話以外の方法で受付に伝えることが出来るようにすること。例えば、デジタルTVを利用しメニュー方式でチャネルボタンを利用し不具合を入力する。 ③ 外部の騒音は貴ホテルだけでなく街全体の課題です。＊隣の企業が早朝から仕事を開始することをどうするか＊深夜、街中で騒ぐ若者対策をどうするか以上、辛辣に感じられるかもしれませんが、少しでも貴ホテルの役になれば幸いです。 Yoshiyuki Seino (from Tokyo)

To start up with there is no internet or tv facility we got notification about outage in the last minute, and we can't book for alternative accommodation at the last minute. With kids staying for 4 nights without internet or tv is nightmare and staff don't have any ETA. Breakfast was very ordinary not even have proper juice same breakfast everyday and not worth the cost. we got power outage and surprised to see so called 4 star hotel don't have generator lifts didn't work need to climb top floor, air condition was not working till power came back. we requested late check out which was offered till 11am and after that they mentioned will charge every hour. Rooms are not full, but no compensation given for all the inconvenience caused and we felt we stayed in 2- or 3-star budget hotel not a 4-star luxury hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was spacious and loved the view from our balcony. Room service is way beyond our expectation, room is restored everyday. The location was perfect and close to shops. We enjoyed the pool. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cairns.

We stayed 5 nights and the breakfast included was very average same food each day and variety was very simple and the staff were very sad. We attended the cocktail half price on Friday evening and was not offered the free canapés. The bar Manger was a complete smart ass and locked us on the balcony on our last day. Place was overall nice and central to cairns only a 8 min walk to the esplanade.

I arrived at the property about 1130pm. The room I was booked into the airconditioning wasn’t working. I was then moved into a room that was extremely dusty to which I was told the check in manager would get a cloth. Further investigation then showed the room had undergone rendering and there was plaster everywhere. I was then told that he wasn’t sure he had another room. I was then moved into the room next door. The bedside lamp didn’t work and the toilet seat was sliding off the toilet which made me wonder if anyone cleans it. I then found biscuits and weird flower things under the bed. Didn’t actually get a room till 1.00am that night. When I complained I got offered wine. For a room at 260 dollars a night this was not worth it. I didn’t even have a bed the first night and still had to pay for it. Extremely disappointing. Wouldn’t recommend

We travel through Cairns often and always love staying at the Benson because of the convenient location - it is surrounded by lots of cafes and restaurants, its walking distance to both Woolworths, Cairns Central shopping centre and also to the Esplanade. We had a great stay, easy and convenient.

Great location, walkable to promenade and endless restaurants. Good sized room and comfortable bed and pillows. Bar upstairs and evening entertainment was fun. Housekeeping on the weekend was a little lax however front desk team were excellent and dealt with the issue. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent hotel with beautiful bathroom. Great view. Helpful staff. My only complaint about the room is that we had two beds and one bedside table and lamp. Walking distance to the shopping complex and to the Esplanade. Close to many restaurants and coffee shops.

Everything was amazing and I’d go back to stay again. The only downfall was that the restaurant is closed for lunch on weekends which is strange and inconvenient. The food and cocktails were amazing when it was actually open.

Nice room. Good location. Breakfast was extra but not worth the price. Fire alarm rang at 10 pm with instructions to evacuate. Everyone had to leave the building. Turned out to be a false alarm due to smoke detector malfunction. Very disconcerting experience. Staff were friendly and apologetic.
