Quiet and comfortable property is still in conversion phase from Microtel to Motel 6

Was in town for the nascar weekend. Thought I’d get a “cheap” room since I was traveling alone. The room I stayed in was disgusting. Very dirty. Ceiling appeared as though it was going to cave in. The hallways smelled of urine. Outside felt very unsafe. Shady characters moving around the parking lots. Could not use the main entrance…had to use one on the side of the building where there was no parking. Many “homeless” and/or unkept appearing people right off of the property. Did not feel safe outside nor in. Thankfully my vehicle was not bothered while sleeping. Would NOT recommend this hotel nor will I ever stay there again.

Word of advice, DO NOT STAY HERE! I’ve been all over and this has been the worst stay I’ve ever had. It was so disgusting I put on a sweater to sleep so I wouldn’t have to touch the bed. My daughter literally slept on top of me in order to try not touching the bed. It was so bad we decided to sleep in the car. Roaches everywhere, dirty towels, dirty bathroom, smoke alarm hanging off and beeping because it needed new batteries. Molding peeling, burnt sheets and covers. Junkies out front, glasses broken in the hallway and an entry side door with caution tape because it was broken. Just the worse experience ever. Worst part was everything else in the area was sold out.

No breakfast 😂 so that was a lie, still pet friendly but will not ever stay again. Lots of vagabond at main entrance to hotel, had to go through back entrance to avoid. Broken shower curtain, dirty looking towels....

Eyelash was in my bedsheet, light didn’t work halls smelled of weed, ass, and smoke, carpet was disgusting! Remote was broke room light when you entered was broken water in bathroom sprayed out all over my clothes air conditioning DIDN’T work! Out dated!!!!! Picture didn’t match up with what I saw when I entered in my room! Only thing was Lady at front desk was a sweetheart!

The hotel was dirty, it wasn’t clean the razor in the corner is proof it hadn’t been cleaned. There was a drink in the windowsill, there was blood all over one of the towels, the other towel was damp. - I wish I could give negative stars !! People outside the building and in the parking lot at all hours of the day and night

This motel had not been clean tub had black stuff in it eyelashes on nightstand floors had dirt all on it roaches running round on floor and bed. I would never stay there again. Very unsafe with druggies running round one washing her wig outside in the parking lot.people standing round making tou feel very uncomfortable and unsafe.

I nevdr rented a room and didn't have 3 mo I .. I never rented a room and didn't have a microwave thin blanket on bedwas told they were taken out because people left their kids in their room and didn't stay with them things were messed up then i was talking to a neighbor and they had 1 Heat didn't work

Aside from the Lady Methed out on the sidewalk outside my window. The numerous hookers and homeless folks in the parking lot the bathroom door that had been kicked in and had no way to close it except with a dirty wash cloth between the door frame the ceiling leak from upstairs with sheet rock falling and the dirty fridge we were only about 10 minutes from Charlotte Motorspeedway. I’m on my way home now to scald my skin and get a round of tetnis shots and maybe a full quarantine. Stay away far away from this place. Half the reviews were fake. When I booked this dump it was showing a 7/10. With a very nice looking hotel. When I looked after I checked in it was a 3. Absolutely disgusting. I’m still itching.

The room was very small! There was food in the microwave from the previous occupancy?! And the location catered to prostitution ahead of Hotels.com’s online reservations!

The staff was very unreasonable and unfair

In a bad part of town, drug dealers stays at the hotel. And all you could smell way grass. People walking around asking us for money. But the lady that worked in the office was very nice. Will never stay there again

Coffee with powdered cream is not breakfast and isn’t even acceptable as coffee! At least put out liquid milk or preferably 1/2 & 1/2. Staff kind of blaise.

I am not a person who likes to give bad reviews and waited an entire week so I could relay the truth to keep others safe. You don't want to go here - ever!!! Area is horrible and there is a large number of homeless addicts surrounding hotel, and we saw one sniffing drugs off the sidewalk and multiple needles laying around in parking lot and on sidewalks and in halls. Hotel is beyond dirty, it was disgusting! It was missing basic equipment like smoke detector and a working lock in the room, we had to push the mini fridge against door because there was no lock to secure the room. I checked bed for needles because we saw them in hallway. Took 45 minutes to check in and are only allowed one room key regardless of how many people in room, staff will not let you in if you lose it.

Hi hello my name is jameca Hendrix, and I am very disappointed with the unprofessionalism and untrained personal that you have at the motel 6 here in Charlotte NC University. On the 21st I booked a room for one night through Expedia for 97$, but when I got there jk or kj was at the front desk and informed me of the security deposit in which I gave him my card shortly after I left. I woke up the next morning to check my account and noticed 3 pending transaction one was for 97$ for Expedia one was for motel 6 for 74$ and a security deposit of 20$ so I called back to a rude and very aggressive person who didn't want to here what I was trying to to explain to him until. I actually got him to listen to me, he then stated there was a mistake and my card was charged for the room instead of jk or kj confirming my Expedia booking reservation so he informed me that he had fixed it and corrected it and it should be back on my card soon. So later that evening I checked and found out that all three transactions posted to my account. I am very upset and disappointed with the service that I had received. Here is all my proof and information if needed. I have also reached out to Expedia of my issue and they reached out to him and asked him to fix it, but he stated to them that he has to wait till a mgr if there to override it in which is the same mgr who informed me that things was corrected in the beginning. 72859809881424 Expedia travel confirmation - Fri, Jun

It was alright but the room could have been larger. We would have prefer a king size bed. No dressers drawers in the room for storing clothes. Had friendly person was very helpful.

The lady at the desk was very nice. She made our room quickly for us and was neat. However the property, which is out of her control, was really bad. I do not recommend staying here. Trash all are around the property, loud chanting music blaring from somewhere next door, heavy police presence nearby. The property inside smelled of air freshener and marijuana. Just This place should be torn down but rehire and promote the nice lady at the front desk. She works great with what she has. Do not stay here even if you expect the minimal. Sorry.

It was clean hotel rooms, easy access to main roads and located near the venue were attended.

This property is falsely advertised it is very much in a dangerous location with bullet proof glass on the staff check in area and is disgusting. We left and did not stay.

There were people fighting in the parking lot. There was a shooting across the street from the hotel and a lot of illegal drug activities. I will never stay there again. It was a waste of using my points to get this room and paying the difference. Not a safe place at all.

I liked the price, and accessibility of dining highways access etc. I did not like the drug activity and loitering on the property by drug users and panhandlers. As for the hotel room i did not like the rodent a bug infestations.

We booked this and when we pulled up there were crackheads and homeless people blocking the entrance to the motel. Sketchy people everywhere. We didn’t even go inside, we cancelled our reservation. This is probably the worst area in Charlotte. BEWARE
