Kampaeng Ngam Hotel - Steps to Night Bazaar & Old City

Everything a room should have at an excellent price, even English books to read and swap. Good breakfast. Near night market. Right opposite is a little restaurant, fish and chips are excellent @ 100 baht.

I had a very early morning check in. When wanting nothing more than a little sleep after long travels; the sheets in the room had not been changed in some time… they were dirty and pilled. The pool appears quite large in the photos online but is very tiny approx 15’x10’ and mostly indoors. Amenities nearby are fantastic with good food, easy walks, good taxi service & fun tours.

The room was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful. Any request, they're willing to help. I stayed here to relax in Chiang mai for 2 nights after staying in dorms a lot and I enjoyed it immensely. It was very quiet and the pool area is small but nice. The common area/breakfast area was also a nice place to relax away from my room. A night market is just a short walk away with lots of food options and many other shopping possibilities. Chinatown is also close by. It's also just a quick scooter ride away front the old town. The breakfast was delicious. There's a bit of everything. I enjoyed my stay here a lot and would come again for a relaxing quiet stay.

Room was ok. Although was greeted by a cockroach in the bathroom upon arrival but it’s quite normal. Aircon needed to be cleaned, full of dust and very slow. Bed was okay, pillows too. Staff - well, the reception wasn’t very helpful and always seemed more interested in the computer than the guests. Breakfast was very poor, so we went next door and across the street but really wasn’t good anywhere. Breakfast really wasn’t available anywhere that we thought was good.
