This is a relatively new facility, and was designed as a modern, high-end hotel. However, it has fallen into severe disrepair. My stay here was awful due to the poorly maintained and/or non-functioning facilities. The only parts of the hotel that are really nice are the lobby and the breakfast bar area. All of the common area upstairs carpeting is damp, and there is a damp/mildewy odor throughout the hotel. In addition, the carpeting in my guest room had a strong damp and mildewy odor, which proceeded to give me a respiratory infection. I was staying here in order to perform concerts for 3 nights, and I had to cancel all of my performances because I was sick from the mildew in the carpet in my room. In addition, one of the main reasons I stayed in this hotel was for the gym and the sauna. The sauna was completely broken and off-line, and was not working at all. In addition, the gym was a joke. Although it was very large, there were hardly any free weights, and no barbell. In addition, the few weight machines they had were super low-quality and flimsy, to the point of being dangerous. This hotel really ruined my annual trip to Chiang Mai, and months later, I am still extremely upset about it. They should really refund my entire payment in full, before I leave this same review on every single travel website on the entire internet. Note: All of the staff here are REALLY nice and helpful. All of the above is solely due to the owners not maintaining their hotel.

The Convera Riverfront is a very good hotel located a 10 minute Grab ride from central Chiang Mai, Comvers staff and service are excellent, The Hotel pool is very nice, and not often busy. The gym is well equipped and also not busy. Breakfast has much variety and is of good quality. Rooms are large and pleasant, but not quite to the exceptional level of newer hotels in the Convera chain.

The Centara Riverside provides good value for money, excellent service and very good facilities including a great outdoor pool. The hotel is a 10-15 minute Grab ride from the action at the centre of Chiang Mai. But our tours, one out of town and the other Mama Noi cooking class provided transportation from the Hotel. This is the second time we’ve stayed at the Centara Riverside and our 3rd stay at a hotel in the Centara chain. So, yes, we recommend it highly.

The public areas (eg, driveway, lobby, lifts) and rooms were always clean and tidy. The staff were beyond helpful, both at the front desk, the concierge, and housekeeping. The buffet breakfast was terrific. The decor in the rooms is a bit dated, but the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The property upstairs where the rooms are is just simply not clean. There were potato chips outside of the elevator for the entire four days we stayed there. When we first got there, our telephone didn’t work and the do not disturb button for our room never did work so we were never able to have a do not disturb sign. Not the type of hotel that I’m used to staying at.

This hotel ended up being much nicer than I expected. The room was big, clean and had a good mix of modernized upgrades while still retaining some of the classic charm. The area around the hotel is busy with traffic, so driving can be a challenge. But if you walking or using an Uber or a hired driver you will be fine. You get a lot for the price at this hotel.

We stayed one night on 9th floor. Spacious newly renovated room with a beautiful view over the river and pool area. Good hot water pressure and aircon. Very friendly staff. Easy to find parking space on the big lot. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants, massage places, hospital and convenience store just opposite the entrance. A little bit far to old town but walkable to night bazar market.

This is a fantastic hotel, excellent in every way. We have stayed there at least three times and are never disappointed. The staff are all first-class, from Alex the manager to housekeeping. The fees are very reasonable for the value. We visit Chiang Mai every year, and the Centara is our favorite hotel in all of Chiang Mai.

Beautiful, impressive lobby and staircase. Staff are friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful especially at reception and the entrance of the hotel. The dining room is always very clean and tidy, well organized. The buffet meals are varied and always delicious. Our rooms were comfortable, clean, cozy and spacious.

Everything was exceptional. We arrived late in the evening and our original hotel couldn’t be found and didn’t answer our calls (booked on Agoda- never again) so I hopped on hotels.com and booked two rooms at the Centara. Front desk was so helpful and understanding and got us in and set up in upgraded rooms. The rooms are large and have everything you need and a beautiful view of the river, city and mountains. The following morning the concierge helped us book a great private tour of the Chiang Rai temples and a longneck village. Our driver Bank was kind and friendly. Just nice to be at a property where they staff is obviously happy. Will make this my second home going forward when I visit. Kudos to the GM. You’re doing a fine job.

Spacious room with nice ping River view, the water is muddy from the landslide up from the mountain. Pool and gym are clean and sufficient Staff is friendly and helpful. Good breakfast buffet at hotel. You can go buy pad Thai or noodles soup within 5 minutes walk. 10-15 minutes by taxi to old city. Google when you want to go and decide if you can walk or take taxi/red taxi/tuk tuk. If you want to be busy all the time and walk to landmarks, stay in old city, if not this is a great place.

We loved our stay at the hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast and evening buffets were really outstanding in terms of quality and selection. Had an unfortunate stay at the Centara Riverside Chiang Mai which we were quite saddened by as the Centara in Udon Thani and the Centra by Centara in Mae Sot were fantastic hotels. To start with the check in was a little bit awkward but we just thought the staff were having a difficult day as it was almost New years eve. Anyway, we continued to our room, a junior suite, and settled in. Had a good night sleep, got up and went to breakfast, unfortunately the breakfast here is terrible and everyday it just got worse, food is very cold and pastry quite stale, coffee machines broken and a very average selection for a luxury hotel. The only saving grace was the staff member who was cooking the omelettes, he's a bloody legend as it was the only food that was not ice cold. In my opinion you should make him the restaurant manager, hes the only one actually making the place better. As the days went on it was apparent that the a/c in our room was completely broken and just blowing hot air non stop, call guest services and they said they would send a technician straight up, waited 15 min and left without seeing him, thankfully it was sorted by the last night of our stay. The other staff worth mentioning were the housekeeping on our floor (7th) and also the car park staff and bell boys, they were all great! Wont be coming back to Centara Riverside Chiang Mai in a hurry as im sure there are other good hotels to choose from in CM. Please try to improve

Nice hotel.. Quiet.. I wish there were more options for room service. The Starbucks inside the hotel is nice however I bought a muffin and it was stale.. I should mention you can have free late checkout till 2pm and if u pay 1000thb u can late check out at 5pm which is perfect if your catching a later flight
