My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Berkeley Hotel. We only stayed one night, but the room was very clean and spacious and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was very central in the Gruz neighborhood, and the pool was also a nice touch. We only wish we could stay for more days.

Hotel parfaitement situé à 5 mn a pieds du port et 7 mn du terminal de bus pour la navette aeroport , à 10mn en bus ( 1A et1B) du centre historique. Very nice property in almost new condition just one block from the big cruise ship port. The breakfast was very nice, they also have a small pool area with a few lounge chairs.

We only stayed one night, arrived from Montenegro feeling tired...Checked in and room lovely and clean, large room with double bed spotless bathroom and even a fridge. Pool area looked lovely, but didnt use it. Breakfast a nice selection , perhaps the hot items could have been hotter. But a lovely overnight stay before flying home.

Bastun var ur bruk, de hade inte någonsin haft igång den heller. Poolen är öppen bara under säsong. Spa är i princip bara behandlingar, naglar och massage. Jag fick rabatterat pris för att hon som masserade mig var inte licensierad. Konstigt att man då erbjuder behandlingar... Personalen i receptionen och på frukosten var helt underbara! Otroligt omtänksamma och serviceminded! Skulle åka tillbaka enbart för personalens skull. Bra läge nära busstation och hamnen. Bryggeri och bar runt hörnet.

Lovely small hotel with great location just minutes walking to Port of Gruz waterfront. Easy access to buses with 10 minute ride to old town. Breakfast was well done with good variety of food and great cappucino. Swimming pool was a great treat after a hot day. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. Very clean and unlike some other hotels have kept up with ongoing maintenance. Very close to the port (5 mins walk). Staff very friendly. Only negative and this is being very nitpicky the towels in the room where going off white and very soon will need replacing.

Staff are excellent. Bathroom was not very clean. There was dirt behind the door that remained all week. Mugs were not washed/changed after use. Clean towels were left but used ones not always removed.

Only hick up for my stay was I had a very slow water pressure time to time and was hard to take a shower. Box tissue in the bathroom would be a big plus.

We only stayed one night, hotel is very clean, modern, close to the ferry port. There is a great selection of restaurants a block away along the marina. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was exceptional. The street the hotel is on is a bit noisy with traffic and that is probably my only complaint.

Das Hotel war ganz hübsch und relativ gut gelegen. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und engagiert. Leider gab es in unserem Badezimmer ab 2. Abend und am darauf folgenden Morgen kein warmes Wasser mehr.

The best part of our stay at the Berkeley Hotel was the incredible staff. They were warm, helpful, and consistently went above and beyond—whether it was making a last-minute dinner reservation for us or literally running after us in the street when we took a wrong turn. Their kindness truly made our experience feel personal and cared for. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, though ours did have two hand soaps but no shampoo—not sure if that’s typical or just a one-off. Breakfast was included and very good, with plenty of options to start the day. While we may choose a hotel closer to the water on a future visit, the Berkeley was perfect for our goal of being in the heart of the city. Dubrovnik is beautiful, and this was a great base for exploring it.

The hotel accommodated us to get us 3 beds in a room. Room was very comfortable and lots of places to put our clothes. We had a view of the sea and could see the cruise ships in port. We were within walking distance of the Ferry port. The front desk was especially helpful in obtaining a driver for us to go into the hills to see the village our Grandmother came from. Breakfast had a lot of variety and was quite good.

Not quite what we were expecting. Some of the pictures used are not of the hotel and are slightly misleading. Not a pretty hotel from the outside and certainly not in a prime location. The poolside terrace rooms are not what you think they’ll be. Yes you have a terrace and yes it’s poolside, just that the pool is 5ft above the terrace, so you are actually looking at a wall! One of our rooms was upgraded on arrival to a sea view room, shame you have to look out down the street and over other buildings to see a glimmer of the sea. The hotel does not have a restaurant, the breakfast is held in the bar area and there aren’t many nice restaurants within walking distance. However we did use Uber quite a bit and that worked out fine. This was to be our last stop on our tour of Croatia and I had hoped to finish it in style. The staff were lovely

Good location to port/Marina. Friendly & accommodating staff. The condition of property not as good. Closet door slid off track & we fortunately caught before landing on one of us. Floor boards coming up, no washcloths offered. Limited outlets for devices-had to unplug reading light to charge phone by bed.

Nice property with a lovely view from balcony. I had two separate reservations and they graciously merged and upgraded me the first night. My only issues is that the street is somewhat noisy, which makes it less enjoyable relaxing out on the balcony. Also drinks in the bar were a bit pricey.

Nice room with a balcony. All the staff from the Reception and at breakfast are all friendly courteous and professional. Excellent breakfast with a large array of cakes and well presented salads. We had an enjoyable stay.

The staff was exceptional and made us feel at home. There was a very nice breakfast each morning. The hotel is convenient to the port and to a bus line that ran directly to the Old City. We would highly recommend the hotel.

We stayed at the Berkeley for 4 nights at the beginning of our vacation, and 1 night at the end. We recommend it to anyone who visits Dubrovnik. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is absolutely wonderful. (reception, breakfast servers, cleaners) They go above and beyond to be helpful and friendly. Seriously, these people are awesome! Great 3 days at Berkeley Hotel. The staff was amazing..Front desk was very helpful and helped us booking a wonderful Montenegro excursion. The breakfast was filling and the ladies were very helpful and always smiling. We enjoyed our upgraded Sea view Superior room. Thanks for the upgrade 🙂🙂. On arrival we were greeted by Elma who booked us in and gave us a warm welcome before recommending somewhere to eat nearby as we had arrived quite late. We received two small complimentary bottles of wine on arrival and put them in the rooms good sized refrigerator. Maria and Elma were very professional. We were able to stow our luggage for several hours while we went out for more sightseeing while waiting for our ride to the airport. Breakfast was included and was very good with Mediterranean salads, cold cuts, cheeses and desert cakes. Nice rooms. No microwave though. Some distance from the City walls. Used Dubrovnik pass which afforded us free bus rides and entrance to city wall museums. Dubrovnik pass for 24 hours was worth it. One downside - the hotel is uphill and we had to navigate alley steps to get to the hotel and we had heavy luggages up the steps. It was torture for us. Winter would have been terrible as Dubrovnik is hilly and it could be slippery.

Amazing hotel just what we needed and in the right area away from the hustle & bustle of the old town but close enough to get a 10 minute bus ride- only slight downside was the 2 building renovations right outside the hotel, little bit loud in the mornings but overall didn’t affect our stay too much- staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. Great breakfast and nice clean rooms, thank you for our great accommodation!

We chose the Berkeley Hotel specifically for its convenient location to the port. We had a day in Dubrovnik before joining a cruise leaving from Gruz Port which was a short 10 min walk away. Visiting in late April, the immediate surrounding area had some works underway during the day ahead of the summer season, but we were out exploring and it was very quiet at night. The room was a good size, clean and offered good amenities - crisp clean linen and a pristine bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was generous and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

I only stayed here for one night on my way to Split. It was ideal as it's near the port where I was getting my ferry the next day. It's about a 40 minute walk to the old town or there are regular buses. Uber is also very cheap to get to and from the old town. Don't use the local taxis, they are a rip off! The hotel was lovely, it was clean and comfortable. Our room had a balcony which would be nice if we were staying for a bit longer. The staff were very friendly and helpful and let us check in early. Breakfast was included and it was lovely. There were GF and vegan options. You could ask for non dairy milk. The hotel has a pool and spa facilities that I didn't use but looked very nice. We could also leave our luggage which was very helpful. Overall, I had a lovely stay here.

Such a nice hotel with such a nice staff, especially from the woman that greeted us at arrival and the man who was there at take off and helped with food one day. It was overall a nice room, and we very much enjoyed it. The breakfast could definitely be improved, but that was a minor issue to us.

We only stayed one night, arrived from Montenegro feeling tired...Checked in and room lovely and clean, large room with double bed spotless bathroom and even a fridge. Pool area looked lovely, but didnt use it. Breakfast a nice selection , perhaps the hot items could have been hotter. But a lovely overnight stay before flying home.

The desk and breakfast staff were amazing. The room was modern and comfy and had a deck looking at the water. The breakfast was gourmet. Best breakfast we have ever seen at a hotel. Meats and cheese and fresh bread and scrambled eggs or poached eggs, fresh fruit and even yummy desserts. Fresh made espresso served to you.

After a night and day of air travel we found the Berkeley to be exactly as expected. It was clean, comfortable, cooled air, and ready for two weary travelers. Breakfast the next morning gave abundant and delicious choices and a barista preparing fresh coffee orders. All in all, a wonderful place to stay…I wish it could have been longer.

Great place to stay. Local eats and very close to Lapad beach. Locals favorite. You relax and enjoy. They have bus line right in front. But we used Uber it varied from 10- 30 euros depending on demand. Local bars are close to marina and food.
