Lovely hotel, great location for exploring Launceston. Close to lots of restaurant choices. Great communication regarding possible late checkin. Pool opposite for a refreshing swim. Room spacious and spotless.

Suited our needs for a one night stopover. Room was clean. Room had a modernized bath/shower. Staff were friendly. Be aware of no elevator/lift if you are not staying on a ground floor. Also this location is situated on the side of a very steep grade so walking around the neighborhood will be affected etc.

Great for a business traveller looking for clean modern no-frills accommodation with a decent size desk to work in the evening. Car parking is a little bit squeezy for large cars but not overly problematic. No restaurant on premises but plenty of options in the CBD a short walk away. Added bonus not mentioned on the web site: the aquatic centre just over the road is great those who like keeping fit. Would stay again.

Very nice and contemporary feel to the accommodation. The room was well set up but a minor but obvious fault were the fabric covered chairs in the room were not clean and the fabric had worn with wear and needed refreshing. Well priced. Would stay again.

Check-in was easy and receptionist was helpful and very friendly. Cleaning staff were also friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the bathroom was very smelly (shower did not drain fully this may have contributed to the smell?). The bed was uncomfortable (too hard) and the bar fridge was quite noisy and alot of street light penetrated at night, this all contributed to poor sleep. On a positive note no guest noise was apparent and complimentary bottles of water were provided. Overall we would not choose to stay again especially because of the bathroom smell.

We loved our 3 night stay at Areca, the king bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in! Room was spacious had there were no sounds from adjoining room. View over Launceston was excellent.

Rooms very spacious, amazing views. Rooms made up on request, tea, coffee and toiletries topped up regularly. Super comfy beds. Would highly recommend. An issue for people with mobility issues is the very large hill you have to walk down. Ok if you have a vehicle. No lift so would need to request ground floor. Small and comfortable hotel. No breakfast service currently but plenty of cafes just a stroll away.

The Accommodation was great, staff very friendly and helpful. They also help with what to do and where to eat depending your tastes, and when we got to our room it was great with all the amenities you need the bed was comfortable but the view from the room was great would stay again in Launceston well worth the money compared to Westpoint motel

When I arrived I was told that my door lock was broken and was being repaired. As the hotel was full they couldn’t offer me another room. The receptionist and repairer did an excellent job ensuring that I was happy while the repair was completed.

Great location and parking available. Clean, could use a few more amenities like a shower cap, laundry facilities, microwave in common area (was only for staff), etc. There weren’t many restaurants or shops near the accomodation so you do need to find food, often a block or two away.
