We ßrrived later than expected due to traffic issues on the motorway,however the staff were great,very helpful and supportive of our situation.Made us feel very welcome.Lovely room and we enjoyed the vibe in the restaurant.

For what it is, a room in an inn over a pub, it was excellent. Though the room was small, it was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay again.

It was a disappointing stay. Room is cramped with a big toilet space which was nice. The glass provided still had food stuck which was disgusting. The whole space in and around the property reeks of stale oil and something rotten. I wasn’t informed that I had to book a table for dinner. When I went down for dinner, I was advised to order a takeaway from another place and eat in the room or eat at another restaurant. This was a big let down. The property was also very noisy at night and heard few other guests complaining. The breakfast was nothing to write about. Unless I am desperate, not a property I would go back to.

Lovely weekend stay with my daughter. Welcoming and comfortable, we stayed Friday - Monday and had a wonderful time. Breakfast was delicious! We ate in the evening also and the food was delicious and fresh. Room was cosy and comfortable bed. Great shower. A great central location. We have booked for same time next year and we’re very much looking forward to it.

Had to go to Penrith and stop at the lounge for a very sad reason. The entire staff of the Lounge were the kindness and sympathetic that anyone could ask for. Nothing was to Much trouble and despite the reason we really enjoyed our stay and we will definitely stay here again

Excellent hotel. Always try and stay here when in town on business. Staff are great and Leslie’s breakfasts are spot on. Not that the other staffs breakfast are not ha ha. Recommend it to anyone as you won’t be disappointed.

I really wanted to stay nearer to Pooley Bridge but prices were way out of my budget so I booked this hotel.. My room which was a single was lovely and staff were friendly and very helpful. As I was on my own I didn’t feel confident in eating in the restaurant however the food looked amazing and there is the best chippy next door. I would stay here again .

Stay here a lot with work. Great hotel !!! Food is outstanding and the restaurant is always full. The hanging kebab is wonderful. Will always go back when I’m working in the area.
