The spa area in this hotel is fantastic they have a steam room, a sauna and a huge pool and huge hot tub under a sky view window!! Staff always very friendly. Rooms always clean and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The walking trails and scenic areas are a plus! Also have a full restaurant and full bar on a lakeside view.

The hotel is kind of old and outdated. It is surrounded by nature. However, we were unable to use the pool and jacuzzi due to overcrowding of the pool with kids and birthday parties. We didn’t find any chairs, so we had to leave. Be wary when booking this hotel if you’re looking for a couple getaway or relaxing family vacation. It’ll be nosy and you probably be won’t able to use the amenities when there are parties. They let guests bring any people in.

First, this property boasts its spa and pool, but after booking, notified that pool maintenance was scheduled during our stay. That project took longer than expected, so we never had access to the beautiful hot tubs despite staff promises. The torn hotel carpets and lack of access to modify room temperature was uncomfortable and more disappointing. Spa service is not as readily available as the hotel promotes. Lots of events happening in various spaces made use of facilities impossible. Limited and overpriced dining on site. The location and surrounding nature was the only perk, but the walk to parking lot was surprising if valet parking is not available. Such a disappointment for my 2 teens and I for our long weekend getaway. Will not recommend for price and amenities.

We booked the hotel because of the picturesque pool after being on the highway for awhile. The whole family was looking for some time in the pool to relax. We check in and the pool is closed for maintenance. Why would any hotel closed their supposedly beautiful pool in anticipation of the weekend of guests. They have all week long to get it done. It was failure on their part and a disappointment.

Hyatt Oak Brook was a pleasant stay. I was traveling with my boomer mother and 12yo son. We enjoyed the huge pool and breakfast. The property is sort of isolated but plenty of food options not too far. I would definitely stay again

The signage in the hotel was not very thorough. There needed to be more signs stepping off the elevator so you knew which way you were going before you walked down a long hallway in the wrong direction. The pool, hot tub and spa were really great but having the news on in the locker rooms was not relaxing. Why does there have to be video screens everywhere?

The room was very dirty, there were splats of dirt on the curtains and on the walls. The desk was dirty with scuffs and visible residue. There was a q-tip left on the floor from a previous tenant, the bathroom door had visible residue on the outside above the door handle. There was a dirty gap between where the carpet meets the wall. The bed was the only clean aspect of the room. The staff was very nice but I did not have time to complain about the cleanliness issue.

Hello, this place was exceptionally nice on the outside but left much to be desired on the inside. Please update torn and severely worn furniture at the $250/night price point. Been going for the past few years-it’s still a great hotel but could use some upgrades!! I’ve noticed it’s becoming more worn down. The carpet in hallways, need cleaning or darn right replacement. Also noticed the pool and hot tub needs a thorough scrubbing. I also noticed the pool area could use a spray down/powerwash!!

The room was very clean and I appreciated the ability to open the screen door for fresh air. We loved the bed and the room was well equipped, towels, robe, coffee refrigerator. However, the building itself is very glamorous. The lobby and bar are beautiful and overlook the water. The pool and hot tub are huge and architecturally lovely. Staff were great and welcoming. We would happlily stay again

My room smelled so musty it was disgusting. Possibly 15 years ago this was a smoking room? The rooms are extremely ugly (yellow and dark brown,) and have plastic shower curtains (not a glass enclosure.) the disposable cups in the room are wrapped in plastic. My room felt so dirty and gross after I wore the hotel robe to the pool I realized there was orange stains around the neck. It looked like someone’s makeup or self tanner rubbed off on the collar and it wasn’t clean. The room I stayed in definitely felt like a motel vs a nice hotel. The parking wasn’t an issue for me, but it could be for some. It’s a block away and you have to walk up 2 flights of stairs. The pool and hot tub are big and the glass roof over the pool is why I chose this hotel. After booking my reservation Expedia sent my confirmation for “Chicago hotel.” This is not near the city for those thinking it is.

Parking wasn’t great. The lot is a nice distance from the lobby and the area in front of the door becomes almost unnavigable at check in/ check out time. Hotel could use some updating but everything was clean.

Property was great. Busy due to spring break. Visited the pool area. Hot tub was ok. Disappointed that I was specifically excited to sit in the sauna..even called ahead before booking to make sure it was operating only to find out it was out of order. Front desk should be made aware of any amenities not working to be able to notify guests. Otherwise room was ok..bathroom was not the cleanest, definitely didn’t mop, or clean the toilet..someone used it and didn’t flush before we arrived. Grounds were nice with the pond and walking areas nearby.

The rooms were "ok" as they are a bit dated and the carpets in the halls need replaced, BUT everything was very clean. You can tell this is an older hotel w/ updates. There were a few things I didn't like. The parking is quite far and you have to go up and down a lot of stairs. If I were older or handicapped, that would've been a major issue. However, I heard you could get a shuttle if needed. Since the property is a bit remote, they really need a small sundries store or something. Also, there was no room service that I could find. I did see you could request a food delivery but at 10pm, I was hungry and the one main vending machine area had machines that didn't seem to work unless you used cashed. All in all, it was a pleasant visit and as always, the Hyatt does it right.

The toilet in the room was amazingly loud when it flushed. At night, if we used the facilities, it would wake up my spouse when flushed. The parking was not convenient as it was across the street and over a bridge. Otherwise, the staff was warm and friendly and the building and grounds were serene and well kept.

Parking is so weird and far.... At least the location property outside is so dang pretty. Seemed fairly empty also but a decent walk thru hotel & says 4 stars but water bottle in room not free, no microwave in room, TV system was a mess. AV system not plugged into TV and no apps on TV so have to link to your phone which was a hassle and a half and eventually gave up.... no mini store on location for pain meds or anything. But apart from the parking and food on location too pricey for me. It was decent and quiet.

AV system not plugged into TV and no apps on TV so have to link to your phone which was a hassle and a half and eventually gave up.... no mini store on location for pain meds or anything. I had a lovely stay. The property is beautiful and peaceful, with great ambience. Our room was a great size and the staff were amicable. One aspect of the room I found unpleasant was the settings of the mini fridge because they only run for 2 hour periods at a time. Any leftovers risk spoilage if not manually and continuously set to chill, which is highly inconvenient, especially when storing food overnight.

One of the queen beds was dipped far down where’s you’d sink in about 4-5 inches which was super uncomfortable. Lastly, the wood bed frames stick out way too far so walking around or near the bed you’d hit your ankle or knee, which bruised my mother’s legs. Property is in a good location. However, they added a $50 fee for incidentals but didn’t say that, I had to ask. She handed me my key and didn’t tell me how to get to my room, again I had to ask. In theory they have shuttles, but she shared nothing about that. Didn’t explain anything. Seemed like I was disturbing them by checking in.

They overbooked the hotel and did not tell us that we did not have a room until our arrival. This is despite the fact that we had made the reservation 2 months earlier. They claimed they had no way to contact me but they had sent me a message immediately after I made the reservation. They did put us up at another Hyatt property about 5 miles away and offered to have us come back to their property the next night. We didn't want to have to move again so we stayed at the new Hyatt both nights. The original hotel did pay for the first night but it was disappointing to arrive after traveling all day and find out they did not have a room for us.

The hotel and property is beautiful but the staff are lacking in customer service. When I checked in there was a frustrated man at the front desk trying to check in and all three people working behind the desk are attending to him while I stood there being ignored for 15 minutes. I was finally greeted and checked in and off I went to figure out where my room was located. I was not given instructions to where the room was located, but I was advised of where the pool and restaurant was. I located my room and it was clean and comfortable. The only other issues I had while staying there were the following, my room was not cleaned during my 3 night stay-I had my sign up for two of the days and had it taken down for my last day early in the morning to have my room refreshed for my last night prior to the maid services on my floor-they didn't clean my room though while I was out all day. That was disappointing. I was also billed for someone else's meal which I didn't find out about until I checked out and received a bill from the hotel staff at check-out. I had to call and have that cleared up. I did not receive an apology and I was advised this would be removed and I would receive an email notifying me this was taken care of, which I never received.

We got there to find out they overbooked and had no room for us, even after i called the morning of to confirm. They didn’t bother calling us to tell us, so we were stranded with no room at night. Had to drive to another town and stay elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel and will never book with them again.

Overall, the Hyatt Lodge is very nice! We did have to wait over an hour to check in due to some delay. However the staff was very nice and gave us complimentary breakfast for the wait. The surrounding areas of the hotel is very beautiful. I will be coming back!

The food service in the hotel was unavailable over the phone. Then to go to the actual restaurant and find it was a full house one server and the wait on food was 45 min to an 1 hr on Valentine’s Day weekend I would have expected the hotel to be prepared. The valet needs to be better also called 20 min ahead and car still was 15 min wait when we went to the lobby.

Great place to stay in Chicago, easy to get onto main highways, secluded, quiet, clean, great pool. Trails and lake were nice and added a lot to the " feel " Stayed 2 nights for a concert at Soldier Field. They provided rides to parking lot, Ron the buggy driver was very nice!!! Food was excellent and fresh. I would definitely stay here again.

Hyatt Oak Brook was a pleasant stay. I was traveling with my boomer mother and 12yo son. We enjoyed the huge pool and breakfast. The property is sort of isolated but plenty of food options not too far. I would definitely stay again

Overall the hotel was nice, clean, cheap vending machines, beautiful bathroom but make sure breakfast is included in your stay or you will be charged more. Other than that close to the Oakbrook mall, restaurants etc

We had a great time staying at the Hyatt lodge in Oakbrook this past weekend. The lodge is in a secluded area with beautiful walking trails around a large lake. Although secluded, it’s still very close to great shopping and many nice restaurants. There are lots of large trees and wonderful landscaped areas all over the property that provide excellent opportunities for pictures. The architectural design of the hotel has a very unique style that reminds me of buildings done by Franklin Lloyd Wright. This property has a very nice pool and gym onsite and there were many weddings being held there this weekend as it is a beautiful venue for that. I also feel that the price for our stay was also very good compared to other properties in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

Room was clean and quiet. Bed was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking is a bit of a way away from hotel but adequate. The whole facility has been kept in excellent shape. My only suggestion is to improve the breakfast experience by adding wait staff who takes your order and serves the table. It now feels like you are ordering food at an airport food court. But beyond that this is an excellent choice for a stay near Chicago.

Stay was great but, the service at the restaurants were terrible. Mangers called off leaving the staff scrambling to find help to fill orders in and computer was down so they wrote down orders. Long wait for food. The hotel and property were great! Shopping and restaurants are near by so no need to eat at the resort. Otherwise, lovely staycation.

I like that the property is relatively isolated, so you feel like you're away from the bustling, the craziness. It has a lake (seems man-made) that you have as a view when you have breakfast. The service was great, I arrived late at the airport and called in to reception to ask them if they closed their kitchen and they could make me a meal and keep it for when I arrived there, because the kitchen would have been closed when I got there. I don't think I disliked anything. They did have a problem with the water main, but that wasn't in their control, but gave us ample notice and gave us stay in a nearby hotel. I will stay there again, easily.

Our stay started off wonderful!!! The lady at the service desk was great! The room was clean, the bathroom just needed scrub in the shower. We were disappointed there was no room service, we went to breakfast and really wasn’t a fan of the food. Very underseasoned. We got a couples massage later that day, which was nice and spent some time on the balcony. The experience was positive mostly.

Both Luis' at the bar were amazing! Manager Luis had such great energy, every night we stayed he encouraged us to cone in. The only issues we had was with the spa key card didn't always work so we had to go to the front desk often. However, they always resolved our issue. Great staff and property!
