Absolutely horrible experience DO NOT stay here! Not clean. Smelled awful. So dirty that when you showered and walked the floor after your feet were black. The chair was broken. There isn’t even enough room here for me to list all of my complaints! We had a whole baseball team here and half the team Left because it was so awful. And no refunds were offered. We didn’t even have anyone clean our room for the 2 days we were there. Had to ask for towels every time. The pool was horribly over chlorinated and not heated. Nothing updated very very small rooms. Worst experience we’ve had in a hotel.

The guy working the desk was great, he was very helpful making sure we had the crib we needed for my son, even let us stay in the room 40 minutes after checkout because i was by myself with all 4 of my kids and both babies were fussing and i was trying to set up our transportation which kept falling through. The pool was closed for maintenance which wasnt mentioned on the booking site and the tv either didnt work or only had one channel so we all had to watch movies on my laptop set up on top of our cooler between the beds. Honestly for the cost it was just fine, the only thing that i did have issue with was the pool situation because it was the main reason i chose that specific hotel.

This hotel was very dirty and smelled poorly. They made us use the stairs to get to our room. The pool was so cloudy and dirty my kids refused to swim or even go into the room. Actual room was musty and had very dirty towels looking like feces and black oil stains all over everything. Breakfast was clean and good. Otherwise I was so disappointed but we had no choice but to stay there.

Great location to cedar point and kids enjoyed the free breakfast. Only thing we would have changed was knowing they didn’t have an elevator. No real Problem, just wasn’t prepared for it . Would definitely stay again though!

I really want to give them a good score but I just can't. Its in the middle of renovation. The lobby looks nice and the owner/staff were extremely nice and mostly accommodating. However, we believed the hotel to have breakfast and they didn't. They were storing carpet in the pool area. I believe our room had new floors but that was all that was new. There was mold all over the shower curtain but when I asked for a new one we were given one quickly. The air conditioner did not work properly. The door didnt actually close unless you forcefully shut it. Thankfully its a pretty safe area. The water temp in the shower fluctuated between hot and cold. The beds arent comfortable at all but they did say they were waiting on delivery of new furniture. All the fixtures including the light switches looked dirty. The plugs on the lamps and walls didnt work well. I thought for sure it was going to short out my computer. We had 8 days booked through hotels.com and by the 2nd day we wanted to move to a different hotel but stayed because every hotel around us that allowed dogs was booked. Day 5 we were able to move on. Obviously we got no reimbursement for the nights we didnt stay which is very frustrating because some of the nights we paid 200+ dollars for. We werent there for vacation, had we been we might have had a better time since its very close to Cedar Point (and most likely staying less nights). If you are visiting CP then stay here for a night or two otherwise until renovations are

They were remodeling the place had rolls of Capet and flooring in the pool area the floors was not cleaned very unhappy

The stay was nice but we has to change rooms because the first one had a fridge covered in mold and the second room was a little messy with a vape on the floor. If you have heavy luggage you might want to know there os

on the plus side: room was clean, front office guy was helpful, price was reasonable. negatives: no breakfast. pool wasn't open until noon and it was freezing. No one did an ounce of maintenance on the pool for several days I was there, I'm sure it was not cleaned and not sure it was even chlorined. It certainly wasn't heated. For a five-night stay you should get more than one day of housekeeping which is all they offered. the whole place had a run-down feeling, it needs a big facelift.

Initial room was filthy. Visible dirt and dust throughout, especially on floor in bathroom. Dirty light switches with paint from a terrible paint job which also carries through to the trim around the bathroom door. Visible mildew. AC plug in had no face plate on the plug and we had 2 small children with us. I asked for a room change and it was somewhat better but in that room the toilet seat was completely loose, bedside lamp didn't work, refrigerator barely worked with visible water inside when we arrived. I tried to plug something in to the outlet by the TV and discovered that entire outlet was loose and the slightest touch caused it to short the surge protector powering all the appliances on that wall (tv, fridge, lamp). Seems like a fire waiting to happen. The hotel hallways and stairs weren't vacuumed in the 2 days we were there. So many holes in the walls up the stairs, down the hall, etc, it needs serious repair. Doors on maintenance/unfinished rooms on the 2nd floor were wide open for the stay and I would be very concerned for people with smaller children, let alone it shows a serious lack of care for appearance. By far the worst hotel I've stayed at and significantly more than I normally pay.

Please read this before you book this hotel. IT IS INFESTED WITH COCKROACHES. Manager declined Expedia to allow me get a refund due to me not being able to stay there. Do no I repeat do not go there. Thank me later.

It was a ok stay but could have been cleaned better. Tĥe mini fridge had old food in it and the bathroom had dirt behind the door that was not swept. The hairdryer was missing.

Upon checking in both beds had hair in them. I went to the front desk to ask for new bedding and they sent two cleaners to come change the bedding. They took the blankets and pillows off the bed, threw them on the floor, put a new sheet on, and then put the blankets and pillows back on the bed. My family left immediately. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. This place should be shut down!

You get what you pay for. No issues with staff and appearance deceiving... not clean...dirty sheets, floors,handrails and kids feet were filthy from carpet.

I like the complementary breakfast but our sink and bathtub didn’t drain. My grand daughter went to the lobby bathroom and it didn’t flush!

I wouldn't book there again. There was a pungent smell in the lobby area. The room was poorly cleaned. Worst part is I woke up to ants in my bed. The man did not seem to care and I did not receive a refund.

Room was disgusting. Hotel lobby stunk like rotting meat. Toilet in room had feces on front of the toilet. Left and demanded refund. Do not stay here.

We later saw ants on the table, head board, bathroom and ceiling. The hotel was apparently fully booked, maybe due to IronMan competition held in the city, so they could not move us to another room. The front desk attendant tryed to use hand held vacuum cleaner to do something, but it felt like a joke.

The room smelled strongly of mildew and so did the dining area til it took our breath away. I tried to get a bagel until a roach crawled from underneath the case they were in. We were grateful to have a place to lay our heads until we were on our way back on the road home.

So we sat on the chairs in the lobby, about 20 min. till someone came. Room was clean and comfy. Our door handle/lock/deadbolt was a little busted on the outside and we couldnt get it open at first. Then realized it was just very tight and had to pull really hard to open the door. The hotel is right on the back road that takes you to Cedar Point Amusement Park, which is why we chose this hotel, it was inexpensive and close to where we were going. We went to the park for 2 days. Fri and Sat. When we came back to the room Sat night, i placed my key card in the slot and nothing happened. It didnt turn green and it didnt turn red, i figured the key card was done. I tried again, nothing, but to my surprise i was able to turn the handle and open the door without a key at all!! So i closed it and tried several more times and yes, our room was completely accessible without having to use a key card to open the door. The whole mechanism was practically falling off at this point. Its a good thing all we had in there were our clothes cause anyone could have gotten in at any time. we were gone for over 13 hrs that day. Would i stay here again? Probably but only because the price was right and it was in the perfect spot, away from all the crazy hustle and bustle.

The room I had booked, was supposed to be 2 queens. They were clearly two doubles. The entire hotel felt like a sauna and our bathtub looked like it hadn’t been touched in weeks.

Room is clean and spacious. Desk clerk was congenial and helpful.

The bed was fantastic. The shower didnt work. The room was quiet and not malododorous

We were looking for someplace further out from Cedar Point to avoid higher costs and crowds. This place was perfect for our Friday evening into Sunday morning stay. I don’t think it was as updated or as clean as other top names hotels, but we had no complaints. We got what we paid for, a comfortable bed, hot shower, and place to relax away from the noise. Also, it’s only a ten minute drive to the mall and area by Great Wolf. We got our coffee and two dinners out that way.

The people who run the hotel, live there. Bathroom door didn't close. Uncomfortable beds. Was only there 15 minutes and said i need to check out. This is bot up to its ratings.

It is as you suspect. Not the best, yet definitely NOT the worst. Room was nice. HVAC worked well at keeping the temperature we set. Bed was firmly comforting. Bathroom was clean. Just as you expect.

Very nice. Needed to end my stay early. But overall the staff was nice.

They did not clean the room. Which is now normal but when I went to get toqels at 10:30pm when I got back to motel I tried to get towels and they said to bring the dirty onw down ans they will waah them and being them back in 90 minutes. They never did.

So, for starters the phones in the two rooms we had did not work, Then the bathroom light did not work, when I called the desk I was expected to wait until the next day because no one was to assist I told them it was not acceptable, then she got someone I was told it was another customer . I felt bad and thanked the man. Then later I pulled the bedding down to put my 3 year old granddaughter to bed and there was garbage in the bed. I don’t care if it was one piece of garbage clearly house keeping didn’t clean the room and honestly the manager didn’t care. Then at 645 am went to take a shower and the hardware fell off the wall. And into the tub. After another complaint they moved us to another room and I asked that the room be 💯 well apparently it was too much to ask bc the youngest couldn’t take a bath unless a wash rag was used to plug it. Then the next day we returned to the room. No housekeeping or clean towels. I sent my teenage grandson to get towels for 6 people as we wanted evening showers as we did the night before and he was given 2. Calling the front desk and the manager complained to me about how he was unconvinced because he was called regarding the issues. He then yelled at me to leave because he was tired of the complaints and and I was asking too much. Besides it was just paper (straw trash and other) and I must have done something to the phones plugs in the hardware falling offdrains towels lights,

Even with the internet crash they found is another place to stay and refunded our money for the night that just disappeared

This was the first time I stayed at a Rodeway, when I initially pulled up, it did not look like the picture. After talking to the NEW owner and saw them fixing it up (new floors, tv in lobby, carpet), it really was nice. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to stay. Easy access to the freeway, just a few minutes from Sandusky and Cedar Point. SUPER Friendly staff, Seriously, i am looking to go back to visit family and I am staying here again. A

Going to Huron, Ohio and not knowing the area, we found that it was an inconvenient drive to the town of Huron. Location wasn't the easiest to get in and especially out due to the high traffic and location. Rooms were okay but the outside of the Inn was very dingy. You have to drive to everything from the Inn. No walking to anything, other than a McDonalds across the very busy highway.

I like this place because it seems like is at the center of everything you want to do around Sandusky in terms of vacation, their prices are moderate, you can bring some room refreshments and extra blankets if you can either than that everything seems ok for and I will give 5stars to this place especially sani the receptionist

Nothing fancy but clean. Walking distance to dollar stor, McDonald’s, Mexican restaurant, subway, and family diner. Half the price of most hotels

Was greeted by a father and his 4 month old crying baby at front desk… dont matter just strange, ants coming out of the bath and sink, music until 10h30…can hear people talking in the hallways…. Breakfast was decent, place was very clean, sheets and beds confortable, lots of parking, close to restaurants gaz grocery etc.

Nice quiet area. Rooms were clean and staff was helpful and friendly.
