After a slightly terrifying commute from the airport we were greeted and shown the apartment but no one was around after that. Given we had booked an apartment with a queen bed, a double sofa bed and a single sofa bed, I was expecting an apartment that was slightly bigger, with the two big beds in one room and the third single sofa bed in the lounge/dining room which when opened made the space very tight. The apartment itself was clean enough with lovely views to the mountains. The location was also great with Pompeii ruins being a 1 minute walk away. There was also a nice balcony and terrace area you could use. However, I partly chose this apartment because there was a hot tub advertised, however that had been removed (a while ago it seems) which was disappointing. The shower wasn’t great as it was very hard to get a consistent temperature and it could suddenly get very hot (not great for the kids). The balcony was lovely and had metal gates to get in and out, however there was no door handle on the outside and we nearly got trapped outside on a couple of occasions. There was also only one set of keys which made it difficult to do anything separately as needed keysto get in and out but also for electrics to work if in. A second set was available but for 50 euros! Shared washing machines also available but again, quite pricy at 4 euros a wash. A pleasant stay in a good location for Pompei ruins but needed somewhere bigger really as three generations squished in a bit.

Villa Magiola is a lovely modern, clean, apartment style accomodation, easily walkable to all three entrances of the Pompeii Archeological Park (so long as you don't have mobility issues). There are plenty of restaurants within longish walking distance if you don't want to cook. Self check in was easy. Laundry facilities on site were great for being in our second week of our trip to Italy (note: you need change so be sure to have some one euro coins if you plan on doing laundry- 4 euros for load wash. There is a clothesline available for drying). There is a convenient grocery store next door and the kitchen in our unit had everything we needed for breakfasts in the morning. The building is really lovely and modern with all the comforts you'd expect from renting an apartment. And you can't beat the price! Overall: a great value in a conveniently located apartment home.

This place was great! You can tell it’s been renovated and the owner/staff was super responsive to all the messages and questions I had. They even recommended a transportation service to Mount Vesuvius and they came right to us! The staff/owner was super friendly and they showed us how to work everything. Just a heads up, the washer/dryer is a communal one and we did not have one in our room. You do have to pay to use both and you have to pay for the pods and its coins only. They also did have a storage place for luggage’s if you have a later flight so you can store your belongings until it is time to leave (which you pay for as well and with coins only). The area felt safe which was even better and it’s literally right next to the Pompeii ruins. Heads up, it is right next to the train so you do hear it when it goes by but I’m a heavy sleeper so I didn’t hear it once I was asleep and personally, it didn’t really bother me since you’d only hear it for a few seconds. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Pompeii!

We enjoyed our stay. Contrary to what other reviews said about the noisiness of the train, it didn't bother me at all. I heard it occassionally, but it zipped by in a few seconds and wasn't overly loud. The apartments are not soundproof, but generally no one was there to disturb us. The rooms are well air conditioned, with a ductless pump in both the bedroom and living room/kitchen area. There is no A/C in the lobby. The apartments are clean, modern, and comfortable. Some things to note: A clothes drying rack is available on the veranda/balcony. The shower is a bit small, but heat and pressure are good. You can arrange for pickup/drop off at the airport. There are taxis at the airport, but it's hard getting a taxi to pick you up from the villa. None that I contacted showed up, so I had to cancel many of my planned activities and lost a few hundred dollars. Rent a car if you plan to stay in this general area. A coin vending machine offers snacks, cold drinks, and coffee. The coffee is pretty good considering it's from a machine! There are two TVs, but they're very small. Probably 20". Almost all shows are in Italian. There is free wifi. The road leading to the hotel's street is very narrow. I scratched my leg on the concrete wall because there was little space to move away from an oncoming car. Maps and guides are available in the villa's lobby. There are quite a few restaurants within a 10 minutes walk. There is no pool or hot tub, but there is a rooftop terrace to lounge.

We booked this apartment as it stated that it had a “pool”. This is one of the main reasons we book it. When we arrived a notice was up saying that the pool was out of order. I ask if it would be repaired and they said that as it was Sunday no one worked and they would have to get someone to look at it later. I said that we had only booked the apartment a week before an that maybe we/ Hotels.com could have been notified and they said that this was not possible. We noticed that the sign up where the pool was had clearly been up for some time and so this was not a new problem. On a whole a quick stay over to visit Pompei is fine but I would not suggest this as a longer stay.

Very clean and modern property with all the amenities required. This is a beautiful property. It is well cared for and extremely clean. It is also has the most comfortable mattresses that we have slept on during our three week visit in Italy. I highly recommend staying here during your stay in Pompeii.

Superbly central apartment in Pompei that you are able to walk to all important parts of the town. Everything was very clean and well appointed and the owner was very responsive for all queries. We will definitely return!

The villa was excellent - Very modern! Very close to both Pompeii but also the train station supermarket and Pompeii shopping. The rooms were well decorated, comfy beds, air con was good. The kitchen facilities were modern clean and worked perfectly. Security wasn’t an issue - good locks to main door etc. We will return! Thank you

The room was clean, with lots of space, comfortable bed, hot water with good pressure in the bathroom. We loved having the kitchen space with a grocery store nearby, the kitchen has basic pots and dishes to use. The owners were friendly, but we only saw them once, briefly. The location is very close and convenient to the train station and the Pompeii ruins. The only con I have for this place is that a continental breakfast was advertised to be included in the stay. There were 2 bread rusks, a mini bag of corn flakes, and 2 small jam packets. The honey was extra to use. To me, that is in no way a continental breakfast. The single bottle of water left in the fridge was never replenished, nor could we find a place to refill it. Despite the breakfast, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others if you want a convenient place by the ruins.

We last minute booked this guesthouse for our honeymoon and got a really good deal. After speaking with the owner he upgraded us as gift for our trip which was amazing. The rooms were spacious, all have aircon which was a god send for us at night. Only issue is how close the trainline is, its literally at the back of the building but after the first night we didnt notice it anymore, but that first one at 6am its a doozy. Very well situated you're only a 5 minute walk from a supermarket, maybe 5 minutes from the Pompei ruins and 10 from the centre of Pompei town. Avoid eating at the ruins and walk into the town for some great food. Trainstation is nearby too so its very easy to travel. The owner acted fast when the pipe to our shower head ruptured and he had it fixed within a few hours of us letting him know. Walls are kinda thin so you can hear people upstairs and out in the halls but its nothing too serious. I really enjoyed out stay and I'd definitely stay here again. Also if you like cats a lady on the walk down has several very friendly and well kept cats who'll happily let you pet them.

Very well situated you're only a 5 minute walk from a supermarket, maybe 5 minutes from the Pompei ruins and 10 from the centre of Pompei town. Avoid eating at the ruins and walk into the town for some great food. Trainstation is nearby too so its very easy to travel. The owner acted fast when the pipe to our shower head ruptured and he had it fixed within a few hours of us letting him know. Walls are kinda thin so you can hear people upstairs and out in the halls but its nothing too serious. I really enjoyed out stay and I'd definitely stay here again. Also if you like cats a lady on the walk down has several very friendly and well kept cats who'll happily let you pet them.

We enjoyed our stay. Contrary to what other reviews said about the noisiness of the train, it didn't bother me at all. I heard it occassionally, but it zipped by in a few seconds and wasn't overly loud. The apartments are not soundproof, but generally no one was there to disturb us. The rooms are well air conditioned, with a ductless pump in both the bedroom and living room/kitchen area. There is no A/C in the lobby. The apartments are clean, modern, and comfortable. Some things to note: A clothes drying rack is available on the veranda/balcony. The shower is a bit small, but heat and pressure are good. You can arrange for pickup/drop off at the airport. There are taxis at the airport, but it's hard getting a taxi to pick you up from the villa. None that I contacted showed up, so I had to cancel many of my planned activities and lost a few hundred dollars. Rent a car if you plan to stay in this general area. A coin vending machine offers snacks, cold drinks, and coffee. The coffee is pretty good considering it's from a machine! There are two TVs, but they're very small. Probably 20". Almost all shows are in Italian. There is free wifi. The road leading to the hotel's street is very narrow. I scratched my leg on the concrete wall because there was little space to move away from an oncoming car. Maps and guides are available in the villa's lobby. There are quite a few restaurants within a 10 minutes walk. There is no pool or hot tub, but there is a rooftop terrace to lounge.

The villa was excellent - Very modern! Very close to both Pompeii but also the train station supermarket and Pompeii shopping. The rooms were well decorated, comfy beds, air con was good. The kitchen facilities were modern clean and worked perfectly. Security wasn’t an issue - good locks to main door etc. We will return! Thank you

The owner was friendly and accommodating, even bringing my mom some medication from his own house when I mentioned she wasn't feeling well. Nice room, very clean, modern looking, warm. It was a really nice stay. A bit far from the train station if you're walking with luggage (we were), but very close to Old Pompeii. We were able to use the washer and drier for 6€, and store our luggage there for 2€. We recommend this lovely hotel.

Great apartment, spacious and very clean. Super comfy beds. Antonio and the team are really friendly and accommodating and provided pick up and return transportation from Naples Airport. Location is perfect for a stay 5 mins walk to Pompeii ruins, 10 mins walk to train station to Naples/Sorrento and 10 mins walk to lots of restaurants in Pompeii center.

Me encantó Villa Magiola. Esta bien ubicada ya que esta cerca de la estación de tren que te deja en Salerno o Sorrento. Estas a solo pocos minutos en tren de los mejores lugares de la Costa Amalfitana. Como Positano, Amalfi. Esta ubicada frente a las ruinas de Popeya. La verdad que muy burn ubicacion y comodidad. Volveria a ir a Villa Magiola. Lo recomiendo. Un bello lugar.

Villa Magiola is a lovely modern, clean, apartment style accomodation, easily walkable to all three entrances of the Pompeii Archeological Park (so long as you don't have mobility issues). There are plenty of restaurants within longish walking distance if you don't want to cook. Self check in was easy. Laundry facilities on site were great for being in our second week of our trip to Italy (note: you need change so be sure to have some one euro coins if you plan on doing laundry- 4 euros for load wash. There is a clothesline available for drying). There is a convenient grocery store next door and the kitchen in our unit had everything we needed for breakfasts in the morning. The building is really lovely and modern with all the comforts you'd expect from renting an apartment. And you can't beat the price! Overall: a great value in a conveniently located apartment home.

Struttura pulita e tenuta bene. Sono rimasto molto infastidito dai 102,00 € extra da pagare per la tassa di soggiorno e la pulizia della camera (abbiamo allogiato solo 3 notti). Darei per scontato che la pulizia sia inclusa, come in ogni struttura alberghiera, nel prezzo pagato ad expedia (o qualunque altro gestore) e non da pagare a parte . Inoltre è grave che non trovo scritto da alcuna parte una cosa molto importante, a fianco della struttura passa la ferrovia, con treni che passano in continuazione anche la mattina molto presto e la sera tardi. Garantisco che si sente molto forte il rumore. Prima di prenotare qui valutate il fatto che il riposo è continuamente interrotto dai teni.

The property is very modern and funtional bathroom, electrical instalation. Pedestrian access is unconfortable for senior persons, thru steep street. Breakfast offered (included) is not at all, in the room are boxes of Kelloks cereals, no milk, no hot oatmeal neither eggs. We went out for breakfast. We strongly suggest to include in the presentation documentation include the bagage option to safe guard boxes in the back. How to get a taxi was an imposible task, it is a mandatory information for many turists.

Only a short walk to the Pompeii archaeological site and a short walk to the nearest railway station, which is handy for getting into Naples and also goes to Sorrento. Convenient supermarket nearby. Friendly owners who made us feel welcome. Lots of restaurants nearby in Pompeii. We would definitely use this property again!

The room was clean, with lots of space, comfortable bed, hot water with good pressure in the bathroom. We loved having the kitchen space with a grocery store nearby, the kitchen has basic pots and dishes to use. The owners were friendly, but we only saw them once, briefly. The location is very close and convenient to the train station and the Pompeii ruins. The only con I have for this place is that a continental breakfast was advertised to be included in the stay. There were 2 bread rusks, a mini bag of corn flakes, and 2 small jam packets. The honey was extra to use. To me, that is in no way a continental breakfast. The single bottle of water left in the fridge was never replenished, nor could we find a place to refill it. Despite the breakfast, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others if you want a convenient place by the ruins.

We loved staying at Villa Magiola. It was really a home away from home, fully equipped with everything you could need. The kitchen is great, with lots of equipment for cooking, and its fantastic having a washing machine and dryer in the lobby. The owners have obviously put a lot of thought and energy into making this a great place to stay. Excellent convenient location too

Having the supermarket so close the property was a plus. Right outside the Pompeii site. Short walk to the entrance. Dining options are limited but easy to get groceries and cook. Groceries were cheap in comparison to US prices and usually better quality too. Gas station between accomodation and market was convenient if you have a car and the attendants were super friendly every time we walked by. There are two train stations nearby. We used both and the walk was very doable. The train station to the left was the Circumvesuviana to go to Naples or Sorrento. The one to the right was the Trenitalia station for a nicer journey to Naples when it was time to leave. The apartment was very nicely appointed and the kitchen met all our needs for a family of 6. We washed and dried our clothes before we headed out using the onsite facility which was reasonably priced (you need coins). The only downside to it all was the sound of the train passing by on a regular schedule but it wasn't too bad and you kind of got used to it after a little bit. I highly recommend this apartment if you want to take your time at Pompeii and want to use it as a base to go to Sorrento or maybe Positano.

Great apartment, spacious and very clean. Super comfy beds. Antonio and the team are really friendly and accommodating and provided pick up and return transportation from Naples Airport. Location is perfect for a stay 5 mins walk to Pompeii ruins, 10 mins walk to train station to Naples/Sorrento and 10 mins walk to lots of restaurants in Pompeii center.

We stayed 4 nights at the property. We picked it because of the free parking and excellent location if you want to explore the whole area and the surroundings. The motorway is close and there is a quick access to A3 either to Naples or Salerno or Sorento. We stayed at the base floor facing front of the property. People should consider at the back is the train track which doesn’t show up on the map or I missed that fact. It is actually very close 10/15 meters probably, we used the back garden for our coffee mornings and we have realised we were lucky to stay on the other side to avoid the noise of the passing trains. The room was big and spacious equipped with all you need. The fridge was a great bonus. There was a coffee machine at the main entrance working with coins so it is good to have lots of change in advance. The air conditioning was a bit noisy even at night when you switched it off you could hear it from the outside it stopped after time. I am giving an excellent stars because we had a fabulous vacation and fantastic time exploring lots of sightseeings. The property is actually behind the petrol station on the main road so if you come from Naples watch for the sign on the road and take the slip road leading down. I visited the main shopping centre 10 min drive but the actual supermarket is very close and convenient. At Pompei we stayed only the first night for dinner and booked a fabulous restaurant Caupona- strongly recommend it !!!
