Our second stay here and we had a balcony suite. If you have worn out knees I do not recommend a balcony suite because the stairs are steep & unfortunately there is no lift where we were. We were disappointed by the removal of a lot of sun beds and ALL umbrellas around the middle pool. The sun beds have been replaced by Cabanas that you have to spend a minimum of $300,000rp ($30AUD) to use and this prevented us from using the pool because the remaining sun beds were all taken and there was no shade. The rooms are clean and need refreshing - our A/C was noisy with a rattling fan that was rectified after reporting to maintenance, the fridge was very noisy & we had to turn it off each night to sleep and the tap ware in the wet areas were all corroded along with poor water pressure. This Suite did not match the our previous experience in the ground floor Suite that we stayed in back in March. We will not be returning to Montigo in a hurry because we cannot enjoy the pool with the lack of shade and sun beds or chairs.

Love the location!!! The room is super spacious, staff are friendly, breakfast is awesome. There are three swimming pools, so that’s fab! They offer yoga classes and the gym is 24hours, and the entire resort is just beautiful. Definitely recommend you stay here! We just think the shower area should have a screen or a raised kerb because the entire floor gets soaked when we take a shower, as the water flower out. But other than that, we really have no complains!

Spa & Wellness The spa is the highlight—Eka is incredible. She worked on my back, and I left feeling 80% better compared to the 20% I walked in with. Easily a 5-star experience Food & Breakfast Breakfast was a disappointment. Unless you show up right at 6:30, the food is cold—no heating dishes meaning pancakes, waffles, and potatoes turn hard quickly. By 9am, many options are gone. Instead of feeling relaxed, it feels like a race just to eat. Dining Service Service is inconsistent—sometimes attentive at lunch, other times indifferent at dinner. Food quality outside of Indonesian dishes is poor; even simple items like pizza fall short. Pool & Facilities The pool is extremely small. If you leave briefly, your towels are removed and your spot reassigned. The cabana setup feels more like a beach club upsell than a resort perk. Rooms are also not soundproof—you can hear footsteps and conversations from next door. Amenities: No small towels, you have to call for it. Robes are dingy, towels are scratchy, and the “king bed” is just two twins pushed together, leaving a hard ridge in the middle. Guest Treatment The most concerning issue is how guests are treated. I witnessed different treatment based on skin color, and staff openly chiding children in front of parents, telling them to stay quiet—on a vacation. Very disappointing. Highlights Eka at the spa deserves full recognition, and one pool attendant was very kind, though I didn’t catch his name. Room is spacious and clean.

We have stayed at Montigo several times and it is always a nice place to stay. The breakfast is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The pool areas are nice, particularly the adult only pool. Great location and a short walk to shops, beach, restaurants. We will be back!!

Very nice resort, impeccable service - always with a smile. CLean, comfortable beds, good location on the main road but still quiet inside the resort. Three pools, very clean. Fantastic breakfast available until 10:30 with options for everyone including a stir fry station, egg station and great coffee.

The staff are an absolute credit to Montigo! Always happy, smiling and friendly! Room was large with a large balcony overlooking lovely gardens. 3 pools to choose from but we did like the Quiet Pool at the back.

We had a lovely stay at Montigo. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a beautiful lunch on our last day at the hotel’s HinoTori. On the downside. There was a lack of pool towels at times and the room towels were quite dated. No face wipes/flannels in the rooms. Milk for tea would have been nice too.

We have stayed here before and could not fault the property. After renovations, it is now in need of serious maintenance - towels in bath and pool are old, fraying and stained, maintenance issues have been patched leaving mismatched colours and a poor job, outdoor table settings are broken and cushions contain mould, which is the same with the pool chairs and cushions. Cleaning is a hit and miss affair. We had to call at 4pm one day to have our room cleaned, despite us being out all day and having a please clean room sign on the door. Breakfast buffet is lacking. No ambience in restaurant area. Ordered a toasted sandwich one day and despite going straight to our room, it did not arrive. Staff called after 4pm stating they had been trying to call me. They had not. I do not appreciate untruths. I was in my room the whole time waiting for my sandwich. After an hour, I knew it was not coming and just gave up. Front reception is always busy and you have to walk through a wet and sometimes dangerously slippery area to get to it from the resort. Staff are always amazing and super friendly. Wellness Centre was 10/10. Disappointing that money won out with a block of apartments now built and the Wedding Pavilion and quiet area out the back now full of rooms. So many things to fault now, where once I couldn't fault a thing. So disappointed. It is close to transport, the beach, restaurants and clubs.

Staff were amazing, but the room was dated, toiletries ordinary, no mini bar, old ripped towels, tired and scratched decor. Breakfast was very good. Busy 24 hr reception which was good. Little shade in the pool areas.

The staff are lovely, very hospitable. The facilities are good but probably could do with an upgrade. We had a suite and though the room was spatious and close to everything, the bug bites weren’t the best and the sheets and towels had stains on all of them. For the price, it probably needs a big overall to compete with other hotels nearby.

Rooms very clean and staff and service excellent. Shower drain smelly when first starting the shower. Hotel layout very good but on the first night the neighbouring hotel had very loud techno music going on until the early hours. Not the hotels fault but could have been mentioned in the hotel info or in the reviews.

Some of the property does need a little updating, but received an upgrade and our room was lovely. Very spacious & a big balcony area to relax. The staff are all so friendly and the breakfast had fantastic options to choose from, and all so fresh. We were only there for 5 days, so sadly we did not get to try the in-house dining options, but I am sure we will come back to Bali again.

スミニャックのメインストリートから少し入った通りで、有名なポテトヘッドのすぐ隣です。 近くにはレストラン、コンビニ、マッサージ、両替所があり不便はありません。 ビーチも１０分ほど歩けばいけます。 良い点 朝食はバリエーションが多く、レストランも開放的で満足しました。 ライブキッチンもオムレツ、炒め物など複数あり出来たてを食べることができます。 難点 フェイスタオルが無かったり、シャワージェルが補充されなかったりと度々フロントに依頼する必要がありました。 シャワーブースに囲いがなく、気にせず浴びると洗面所が水浸しになるため、かなり配慮して浴びる必要がありました。 バスタブに設置されているシャワーも出ませんでした。 総合評価 全体的に悪くはないですが、次回は別のホテルに宿泊すると思います。
スミニャックのメインストリートから少し入った通りで、有名なポテトヘッドのすぐ隣です。 近くにはレストラン、コンビニ、マッサージ、両替所があり不便はありません。 ビーチも１０分ほど歩けばいけます。 良い点 朝食はバリエーションが多く、レストランも開放的で満足しました。 ライブキッチンもオムレツ、炒め物など複数あり出来たてを食べることができます。 難点 フェイスタオルが無かったり、シャワージェルが補充されなかったりと度々フロントに依頼する必要がありました。 シャワーブースに囲いがなく、気にせず浴びると洗面所が水浸しになるため、かなり配慮して浴びる必要がありました。 バスタブに設置されているシャワーも出ませんでした。 総合評価 全体的に悪くはないですが、次回は別のホテルに宿泊すると思います。

Very bad experience. We got a "superior" room at the end of the structure at the border of a club. The first day loudly disco (even with closed windows) until 11PM .... the second day they started with loudly entertainment and music at 7:00AM !!!! When we complained we were told that no other rooms were available. We called Expedia and....guess what?.... they offered us a change room (but for 1 night only). After a second complain they moved us to another room for our last night. Terrible experience, terrible support by the local personnel. Ask for rooms in the middle of the structure if you want to go in this hotel.

We were stuck in the smelly room for 3 days with drain and sewer issues and were not allocated a different room even after multiple requests. Bali was closed due to NYEPI and we were locked in our rooms for more that 2 days, hence couldn't change the resort. Also the staff's behaviour is discriminatory with non-whites. Spa & Wellness The spa is the highlight—Eka is incredible. She worked on my back, and I left feeling 80% better compared to the 20% I walked in with. Easily a 5-star experience Food & Breakfast Breakfast was a disappointment. Unless you show up right at 6:30, the food is cold—no heating dishes meaning pancakes, waffles, and potatoes turn hard quickly. By 9am, many options are gone. Instead of feeling relaxed, it feels like a race just to eat. Dining Service Service is inconsistent—sometimes attentive at lunch, other times indifferent at dinner. Food quality outside of Indonesian dishes is poor; even simple items like pizza fall short. Pool & Facilities The pool is extremely small. If you leave briefly, your towels are removed and your spot reassigned. The cabana setup feels more like a beach club upsell than a resort perk. Rooms are also not soundproof—you can hear footsteps and conversations from next door. Amenities: No small towels, you have to call for it. Great property, staff were superb. Went out of their way to help us out. I was chatting with the bar man and mentioned that I had intended to try Arak before I left Bali. They don’t stock it at the bar, but he said he could get a friend to drop some by. I told him I didn’t want to cause him any bother and not to worry about it. When I went later to get some drinks he produced a bottle and I was able to try it. Beyond service!!! Didn’t even expect a tip for his trouble, I had to insist.

Most enjoyable stay. Staff excellent - above & beyond. Batik Air delivered us to Bali with a good fight, BUT sent our (& 10 others) baggage to Kuala Lumpur. Once our bag - thanks to our AirTag, no thanks to Batik’s baggage agents - got back to Bali, we had all promises & no action for another 18 hours (total 3.5 days). Montigo staff (particularly Flo, Customer Relations) arranged for us to go to the airport & retrieve our bag. Thanks Flo & Montigo. Enjoyed our stay, tried both restaurants (good), pools & facilities. Will return

The hotel facilities were excellent, the breakfast options were great and the staff were very helpful and attended to our every request. The beach, shops and restaurants are only a few minutes walk from the hotel. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a secluded place to stay with the convenience of being minutes away from everything - we will definitely stay here on our next visit to Bali.

Great location and great friendly staff, however this property is more of a 3.5 star hotel no where near a 5 star . Rooms are dated, breakfast is very average , getting clean towels in your room you would think would be standard in a hotel but we were always having to ask for towels , even a hand towel. The pool was very nice as was the property, but what I liked best was the breakfast buffet. It was huge! We also ate lunch there and it was excellent. I would definitely recommend the Montigo Resort if you are staying in the Seminyak area.

Some of the property does need a little updating, but received an upgrade and our room was lovely. Very spacious & a big balcony area to relax. The staff are all so friendly and the breakfast had fantastic options to choose from, and all so fresh. We were only there for 5 days, so sadly we did not get to try the in-house dining options, but I am sure we will come back to Bali again.

The staff were so lovely, they knew our names by the second morning, they celebrated my son’s birthday and could not be more helpful. The front pool had a great vibe and we ate the breakfast, lunch at the restaurant and dinner at the on-site Japanese restaurant and the food was exceptional. The location was great for shopping and restaurants, a few dollars on a Grab got you to the beach or you can catch the hotel shuttle!
