I called and asked if the pool was heated first they said yes. Booked the pool was cold. They gave the excuse there was alot of people in it today. Give it 30 mins. Never heated up.

There was a nice heated pool. Excellent hot breakfast including waffle maker, biscuits and gravy, eggs. There were apples, packaged cinnamon rolls, bread, yogurt, packaged oatmeal and even had a couple of individual silks for those who were dairy free. Great place.

Location is convenient, Bellas Italian restaurant was great again with a view. Room was clean. Drapes allowed much light in at night as they did not shut properly - creative use of a paperclip solved this for second night. Toilet tank to bowl valve leaked slowly so tank would need to fill every few minutes. New tile entryway should soon look very good. Pool closed.

Very clean. Cleanest hotel bathroom I’ve seen. We didn’t get much sleep due to people running up and down the hallway and doors closing loudly as staff arrived in the morning. Voices in the hall so loud it seemed like they were in the room with us. It was upsetting as we traveled specially to get more sleep for my daughter before an all day sporting event.

Room was not cleaned…..we were ok with bed not made but we had used towels, trash…….front office staff was great. Provided clean towels, took away used, provided coffee pods for next morning. All was made good.

Stayed for the races in Eldora. The hotel was very clean and the area was very nice. Grand Lake is just a half mile away. Beautiful area also. Bathroom was very small but worked. Overall, good hospitality and a nice place to stay.

The only, and I mean absolute only aspect of my stay that wasn\'t perfect is the fact that the suite was not comparable in size to my default experience of "suite" from other hotels in this price range. The suite photo online was nowhere to be found at this location. Online, it was L shaped where the office section of the room was private from the beds. The suite we were in was no bigger than a regular room in my opinion and I have stayed in many hotels across the entire US. Everything else was perfect.

Very clean. Cleanest hotel bathroom I’ve seen. We didn’t get much sleep due to people running up and down the hallway and doors closing loudly as staff arrived in the morning. Voices in the hall so loud it seemed like they were in the room with us. It was upsetting as we traveled specially to get more sleep for my daughter before an all day sporting event.

The room was nice. I am a firm pillow person as well as my mattress, so bed was soft. The AC sounded like a Semi-truck running and the refrigerator had no temperature control. It never got cold! Thank goodness we only had drinks to chill. Location was great, easy to find and close to some shopping and some food places.

My son, partner, and I were very satisfied with our weekend stay here. We were in town for a wedding, and this was the perfect place to come back to and relax. The pool was very nice. Everything was extremely clean and upgraded. My partner forgot shaving cream and they have a complimentary program for those situations. The breakfast was delicous. The staff was so friendly. Our view with the ducks and lake was beautiful. It was a great experience.

Although the property was going through some renovations, the staff adjusted very well, especially Shirley in the breakfast room. Her friendliness and helpfulness made us feel at home and comfortable in what could otherwise be a negative for our stay. You should give her a bonus for adapting to her modified accommodations. The world needs more Shirleys.

We stayed at the Best Western for one night. Check in was easy and our room was very clean. The air conditioner sounded like a creepy squeaky door each time it turned off (roughly every 30 minutes) which was scary when we were sleeping. Check-out, however, was frustrating. Due to new policies in place at this specific Best Western, they preauthorized the first (only) night and then proceeded to charge us for the night. On our online banking, we could see two charges for the full amount pending. When we questioned the staff at the desk as to why it appeared that we were being charged twice for a one-night stay, she (a manager) got very defensive and upset. I stopped her twice during her rant to explain that we weren't mad at her...we just wanted to understand what was happening. Her bedside manner (ie - social skills) was lacking and she wasn't able to 'read the room.' Other guests were staring at us as they walked by as if we were the ones causing a scene. My husband and exchanged several looks, unsure of how to respond to her behavior. I completely understand that she may have been having a bad day, however, we did absolutely nothing to trigger the reaction we received. We ended up leaving without a resolution and were made to feel as though we were a burden for asking clarifying questions. Now, we are left with nearly $500 worth of charges that we have to figure out with our bank.

We were double booked. She said she "Upgraded" us but the upgrade was a King bed and a rollout couch that we had to put all the bedding on and it was the most uncomfortable bed I ever slept in with the rods for support right in my back. I consider this all a "downgrade" instead of an upgrade.

I was told there is an additional $25 charge for checking in before 3pm. There was a volleyball team staying at the hotel...my room was at the end of the hallway...I was constantly hearing the outside door slamming shut. I've stayed at this hotel several times and usually have a better experience.

Clean room. Close to some shopping and dining options. Only reason I gave 4 stars is that housekeeping never came into our room to replace towels/trash. We stayed for 3 nights and I did have the privacy sign on the door for the majority of the day on Friday, but on Saturday I removed the privacy sign mid morning in hopes they would come in to replace dirty towels while we were gone during the day. Unfortunately they did not. Could’ve just been a simple mistake or miscommunication due to the privacy sign on the door early in the morning. Otherwise we had a lovely stay!

Great little stop for a business night. Pretty good shopping (for a guy) here. Harbor Freight, O'Reilly's, awesome Asian buffet (all you eat crab legs Sunday nite), Wal-mart, Menards within walking distance. Good breakfast places nearby, definitely recommend as hotel is blah! You won't starve but you won't be pleased.

Lovely motel, basically brand new. Really nice room, nice free breakfast, terrific staff all around. Along with everyone there, filling the motel, we were there for the solar eclipse. Staff was friendly and accommodating for each request. Recommend.
