Hotel was nice, clean, secure and had a pretty good quality and variety for the included breakfast. Not walking distance to anything but a 10 minute drive to everything. Kids enjoyed the pool and coffee was good. The only downside for us was nearly all the cardio equipment in the fitness room was in disrepair! They have high quality equipment but it needs to be serviced. One of the two Precor treadmills squeaked horribly, the other did not elevate and the attached TV screen didn't work. The Peloton bike was broken, waiting on parts and only one of the two ellipticals was fully functional without a horrible clunk. We didn't try the Precor recumbent bike. They did have dumbbells 5-50# and adjustable bench and a dual Precor cable machine that worked fine.

The exit from the pool when you have wet feet is very dangerous... easy fix is just an indoor/outdoor rug. Surprised you haven't been sued with an injury. FIX IT!

The service and cleanliness were excellent. However, they charge you $12 a night to park. This was not included in the nightly price, nor was it stated anywhere visible when I booked. I would've booked another hotel if I knew it was an additional hidden charge. I'm glad the front desk lady was very sweet and helpful, it helped offset the annoyance of being tricked to pay for parking.

Area around the pool is incredibly unsafe. Both my children slipped and fell while just walking. Closest restroom is out three doors! Doors that are HEAVY!

After settling in, I went to take a shower I was mandated to take as part of pre-surgery protocol. When I discovered the shower was blistering hot and no matter how I turned the dial, it remained the same. Also, I had taken a Kleenex and tried to sweep up all the long, black hairs everywhere in and around the tub area. My husband called the front desk and we were given another room, but instead of two queen beds, which we really needed, we were given a king bed. The shower in this room worked but the shower area was filthy like the first had been, with long, black hairs all over the shower walls and floor. I could not sleep in the bed, so the night before my surgery, I was relegated to the floor. Who knows what bugs I picked up? Thankfully, I had to take another shower so hopefully washed them off. The cover to our bed, which I used because my husband had the blanket, smelled like dog. When was it last washed? We were given free parking because of the room change, but that did not make up for all the discomfort we went through during our stay. The receptionist was as helpful as she could be during this time and we don’t discredit her at all. Obviously, this site is not well-managed and housekeepers are not able to finish their jobs. I felt as if we were staying in filth, not a good place to be prior to surgery. I expect more from a Hampton Inn.

There were ants in both rooms we booked. This was the only downside as the ants went into our toiletry bags in the washroom etc. The staff were pleasant, breakfast and hotel facilities were good.

First room I was given had a toilet with a huge crack in the tank and was leaking all over the floor and with the water stains on the floor it was on obvious it was like that for some time. Was given another room and although the toliet worked alworhout leaking all over the floor, the room was not cleaned. It was clear to see that surfaces don't get touched. The table between the beds had dozens of sticky rings from cups and. The bathroom counter had pieces of scotch tape on it that would easily peel off but must have been to much for the maids to do. So, I took care of getting that off for them. The bathroom and shower also had hair all over the place. The roooms overall are outdated and just not really clean. The beds get made and that's about it.

Housekeeping is only scheduled every second day and if you happen to be in your room when they go by they do not return. As a result we had no clean towels, Kleenex etc. When we pulled out the garbage bag the inside of the container was full of black slime. The night staff did their best to help us but it clearly was a disappointing stay.

We paid$279 for the first evening then stayed two more days. We never got our room cleaned nor clean towels. We notified the front desk the second evening and he told me they only clean rooms every other day. We requested our room cleaned the third day. When we arrived back late that evening. We had no clean towels and the room had not been cleaned. We notified the front desk and he told me they only clean after 3 days but he did provide me with clean towels. Not a good experience for the price.

Only two detractors - plenty of road noise and the in-room fan wasn't loud enough to drown it out, leading to poor sleep. And the bed was much too soft for our liking - but that may just be personal preference.

Yes, the room was clean, spacious and quiet. And the staff were very helpful. And I loved the pool! A main difficulty for me was a lack of accessible electrical outlets. For both my CPAP machine and computer I (at age 83) had to crawl under the furniture to reach outlets. And finding outlets for charging phone and tablet was not easy either. Other than that, I would say Excellent. Thank you.

Great breakfast. They serve early which allowed us to eat before early athletic event. Bed is comfy-feels smaller for 2 adult people. No microwave in the room but available downstairs to use anytime and great seating area to hangout and eat lunch and dinner. Missed the info on parking fee when hotel was booked.

I really liked the hotel, but I didn't like that snobby receptionist Alyssa. I assumed she was a nice girl but she was snobby and just rude. I was checking in and when I asked her a question she picked her pointer finger up and stayed silent then proceeds to say "I will not speak over the noise coming from down the hall (there was an employee pushing a cart down the hall) and I just don't have the patience for that". I was appalled. I waited for my card and left the front desk to take my belongings out of the car. As we entered our room and set our stuff down, the phone rings. I pick it up and alyssa said, "There is extensive noise coming from your room, if you could please keep it down." Mind you, we just got into our room, literally 2 minutes in, and we already get a complaint. From there it felt personal. I already had a bad experience at this hotel because of that prejudice employee. I don't know what is her problem, but I did not appreciate the snob and the attitude after we just got there! What a way to welcome guests! Poor hospitality. More training is needed for said person.

The property seemed clean and there was one gentleman that seemed to have great customer service. We encountered him in the pool area. The rest of the staff, including housekeeping, and the front office were very short, lacked customer service, and we’re just not friendly at all.

I was disappointed, my room didn’t get clean. Some of the staff was rude on Friday, evening. I ask for my room to get clean and the Manager, Ms. Eden told me that she was going to give me linens so that I could clean my own room. I couldn’t believe it, I then told them that I wouldn’t be doing that and to get me another room. And to top it all off, today someone tried to open my door , at 10:00am. This will be the last time I will stay here. I am requesting a refund on my stay,

We were not told how to access wifi, what time checkout was, that doors lock after 11 pm, and were not provided with water upon check in. This Hampton Inn was perfect for our one night stay in Portland, and reasonably priced. It was in a perfect location as we stayed here overnight after arriving at the Portland airport and heading out to the coast the next day!! We would stay here again!!

Pro- Clean room, sheets and bathroom. Building condition ok but aging from use. Con-Road noise is so loud impossible to sleep. Heating unit is even louder. Embarrassing nickel & dime $12 parking fee to park in an empty industrial area. AM coffee cold and undrinkable. Poor quality inedible breakfast. Pretty excited to get out of the building and find some place to sleep. No idea how this facility received any good ratings?
