This hotel is a hidden gem! The spa is relaxing and the whole ambiance is refined and calm! Bidet style toilets and huge shower tub bathrooms! Loved the Sake bar and the appetizers. Restaurant is very clean and good!

Hotel is pretty new. Super clean and comfortable. Beds are nice and the shower and tub are superb. Weird that there is no ice available and a dresser with drawers would be nice to have. Not many places to store your stuff. Onsen hot pool is relaxing but wish my wife could join me. Single sex only! Be patient with the hot water in the room-it will get there.

Quick and easy check in. Stayed in standard king and room was perfect for us. Enjoyed the soaking tub and rain shower. The locally made bath bombs in the hotel store are great for a relaxing soak. Looking forward to coming back again when the outdoor Onsen is complete. Location was great and easy to get to everywhere we needed. Sake bar has a lot of options, Satay combo was delicious and great service.

The hotel and room was immaculate. The hotel decor has a pleasing esthetic which is calm and soothing. It is like being in a large hotel room in Japan. The room itself has a deep tub for creating your own personal "onsen" (Japanese bath) experience, as well as a public "onsen" too, which we did not utilize due to time constraints. The drinks in the gift shop were reasonably priced too. We will stay here again.

Really thoroughly surprised and impressed with this property. I booked it because it was near where I needed to go during my time in Oregon plus it had free parking. The property was really clean and nice and the rooms were quiet despite them being almost fully booked. I really enjoyed the sake bar and how the property felt. Also, I love how they sell bath bombs in the gift shop that was perfect and a nice touch. The only two small things that could be improved upon our ramping up be VIP offerings. I barely got mine and that’s only because I asked for the $15 credit and additionally to reopen the outside soaking area, but I know that is under construction and will be hopefully open in the near future. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was well located. It just is not walkable other than that 10/10!

I was extremely happy with the room, the cleanliness, the condition of the room and the Air Conditioning (!) at this hotel. I have stayed in long stay hotels before and the cleanliness was not top notch...and the facilities generally show wear and tear. Wear and tear was minimal, cleanliness was great, and everything worked really well. Other than a homeless guy outside when we arrived, the place was super!

Loved the Japanese theme. Onsen was relaxing as well as the deep soaking tub. Only complaint is the fancy toilet was noisy during the night. Also the tub wasn’t cleaned thoroughly, there were hairs in there. Otherwise it’s a lovely hotel and my family enjoyed it.

This is a very nice newer hotel and intermediate between two Portland-area locations we needed to visit. There is an inside koi pond just off the lobby. We stayed for one night. The refrigerator in our room was on the small side without a dedicated freezer section but met our needs. The restaurant and menu looked interesting but we did not need to eat at the hotel. The WiFi worked well. We would stay here again.

The place is new and quiet, with responsive staff. But our forst room was on the 4th floor under the HVAC unit. Very loud constant rumbling. They moved us to a 3rd floor room with a window that wouldn't close. It was 48 degrees outside at night, so we moved to a 2nd floor room, which was fine. We got breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience of moving twice. They gave us a microwave when I asked for it, but I would prefer the microwave to simply come with the room. The rooms could use another table or desk. The windows do open, which is great. The toilets have crazy seat heaters and bidets on the seats. Very Japanese. Ok. I am allergic to shellfish, and the restaurant gave off strong fishy smells at dinnertime, so I was afraid to enter the restaurant. I would stay there again, but not on the 4th floor under the HVAC unit.

Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Convenient location. I really wanted to love this place however the bed was probably the most uncomfortable i have slept in and i am typically not picky. My husband and I both did not sleep well at all and only one thin pillow was provided.

This was an excellent hotel! One of the best I have ever stayed in and I am picky. The pictures don’t do it justice. The bathroom is to the level of a 4 or 5 star hotel. The tub was so relaxing and big enough for 2 people. The bed was VERY comfortable and I had an excellent night’s sleep. They were flexible with our checking and check out times (arriving at 2 am and leaving late). Everything seemed new, very clean and clean well cared for. The staff was welcoming and kind. Don’t hesitate to book. Can’t wait until I can stay there again.

We loved staying at Cedartree. It's probably our favorite hotel stay in recent years. It was clean, quiet, and peaceful. We loved the large rain shower and bidet in room. The bed was very comfortable. The only tricky thing was figuring out the heater. We had to look up the manual to learn how to use the remote to control it.

The staff was wonderful!!! The men working the front desk were kind and welcoming. Our server at breakfast ( a young, tall, blonde young man) was so sweet. He is great at his job. Overall a great experience.

We chose the hotel because of the proximity to our kid’s soccer tournament. We had to arrive late because of a later game. The welcome desk was friendly, the room was clean, but the staff at the restaurant was spectacular. The restaurant sat us even arriving at 9:30pm, the staff was super friendly, and the food was delicious. We were so thankful to have a great place to eat and stay for a very long weekend.

Location is about 15 mins drive away from Portland downtown when traffic is light. This hotel is new, clean and modern. Room is specious. Bathrooms also great, modern and big bathtub with separate shower area. It’s very quiet at night and safe environment. It has nice Japanese style Zen like garden where you can relax on the 1st floor. There is a shop as well for bottled drinks, amenities you forgot to pack and some Japanese snacks and items. We did I not have a chance to use restaurant on site. There is an onsen-bath on 1st floor. I enjoyed my bath time in a deep tab in my room. Sam at the reception is an excellent, smooth check in. We will definitely be back here, our next visit to Portland.

All the other hotels had so many extra surcharges (i.e. parking feesLocated away from the hustle and bustle which means no nearby restaurants, but you are less than 5 minutes away from all that. The hotel was as described on their website. The gentleman at the front desk who checked me in was just so nice. I loved the onsen bath and the entire Japanese influence which extended out to their on site restaurant and bar. Will definitely be back.

The food during dinner and at the sake bar was delicious. Pricy, but it's also a hotel. Aiden, our server was an absolute gem. Breakfast was okay, but the service was so slow. The poor girl needed another hand to help out. Beds were comfy however the pillows were too soft. Showstopper for us was the shower/bath situation. Bidet for the win. Large enough bath that I could actually fit in! Also took advantage of the onsen bath. It was never busy when we went in the morning. 10/10 would recommend this hotel!

This property was STUNNING! Onsen was incredible experience. Shower and tub combination divine and the bidet! The dining food is off the chart although service was an issue when I dined they have a few hiccups to work out but the chef is stellar. The grounds are beautiful as well I really didn't want to leave.

Very clean, new hotel. The air conditioner was noisy enough to bother some people. Breakfast not included. Food was good but not cheap. Tried the Japanese dish for dinner and liked it.
