Rooms are fairly spacious compared to other hotels in the area. Staff were very friendly (shoutout to Jessy) and the location allowed for easy accessibility to the places we were planning on visiting in the city.

So many issues. The TV did not work the first day. Maintenance did fix it. Upon arrival, we were informed about the slow internet - appreciated that because YES!! Very slow indeed. Mold in the shower, housekeeping got to room after 4pm on first day, just got towels and trash as we were tired, second day they got there after 3pm, we just got back to the room, again, just gave them trash and got towels. No coffee pot in the room. Just not a good experience. The BEST part of the stay was CARLOS! He was so very nice and professional.

The location is good and the room was clean and comfortable. A bit noisy due to classic NYC sirens 🚨. The staff is fantastic, very friendly, very helpful! Carlos, Jessie , Diane and Luz! It was also nice to have a little gym accessible on site and a short walk to Times Square. Would stay here again 👍

Stayed 1 night

We’ve stayed here before and it’s not a bad deal considering the rooms are significantly larger than most other NYC hotel rooms! The main reason I couldn’t rate higher than 4 stars was for the following reasons… -check in is 4pm, we arrived at 4pm on the nose, we had tickets to Les Mis 40th anniversary concert at Radio City Music Hall and wanted to get there as soon as they opened the doors at 6:30. We needed to shower and get dressed but we had a delay because the front desk didn’t have a room available so we had to wait for housekeeping to finish the room. It wasn’t long, but it was enough to make us anxious on our special night. -the maintenance crew has a good amount of details to work on like screws missing on light fixtures and the thermostat that fell off the wall, paint touch ups, scratches in the ceiling wallpaper, and other things like that -whether it’s maintenance or a contractor (I don’t care) but someone PLEASE get the windows washed. They’re absolutely filthy on the outside The front desk employee (Luz) wasn’t rude, but she didn’t offer an apology or anything. She just said that we had to wait. Of course It’s not her fault, but she could have done something to ameliorate the situation. Overall, we’d plan a future stay at Truss. But next time we’re on a schedule, I’ll know to call ahead and ask for a room to be ready for our arrival at 4pm.
