Great location except for the stairs. We were in the rear wing which meant negotiating stairs with heavy luggage. Views were pleasant from our room with glimpses of the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque and nice balcony, but room was noisy until just after midnight. There was a noisy generator of some kind which vibrated a lot until it went off after midnight. Then we were usually woken by the noise of scraping furniture upstairs from the breakfast around 7. Otherwise we had a very nice stay.

The location of the property is great, and that's most of what I'm looking for when I travel. The room was very comfortable but there were a couple of issues such as the tv not working (typically not an issue but the World Cup was on and I was hoping to watch), the phone to reception didn't work, and one of the outlets seemed to have issues. The design of the property was very nice and the staff went above and beyond regarding a laundry issue so that was greatly appreciated. Their checkout procedure was less than ideal but due to the location, the design, the cleanliness, and the staff, I would recommend staying here.

At the time of booking we were promised a room with balcony, 24 hours before arrival I got an email to say that the rooms with balcony had already been assigned , but not to worry they would upgrade us to a suite , then 30 minutes later we got another email to say that the suites are now full , so we are now downgraded to a premier room. On arrival we are told that no rooms with balcony are available , no suites available but a premier room next to a bar is available. After putting my foot down , I am now being shown two suites with no balconies, not what we had booked , and then suddenly the balcony room is available , but the main reason we were told it was full is because the room is tiny and cannot accommodate a rollaway bed ( the view of the balcony was awful too). Anyway we took the suite , with a lack of character, very sterile(my opinion) . The breakfast place is not in the main building of the hotel, and you must Climb a very steep hill to get to the other building (first time I see this) , and the breakfast staff do not come with a smile . Also if you book a room for three people , you need to pay for breakfast for the 3rd person ? And do not ask for a take away coffee at the end of your breakfast , there is a charge for it . Very disappointing stay to be honest.
