Calling for shuttle from airport repeatedly resulted in a recording

1. Receptionist didn't guide properly for airport shuttle from jfk to hotel. 2. Hotel is noisy with no sound proofing whatsoever. 3. In name of breakfast the have toast and butter and waffle batter. They dont restock stuff for breakfast. 4. Airport shuttle is limited seats and only runs once a hour, so if they are full or you miss it, you gotta wait.

Lift didn’t work. Heavy suitcases with elderly people. Nightmare

I booked the hotel for its proximity and convenience to the airport, thinking that the low reviews would be sufferable for one quick night for the price and location. I was wrong. The shuttle took 20 minutes to arrive for pickup at 10:30 pm. Then it took almost 10 minutes per customer for checkin even though we all had confirmed reservations. The staff was friendly enough, but then I was informed that the shuttle back to the airport only runs once per hour. This is preposterous for a hotel located 5 minutes from the airport. Totally defeats the purpose of staying so close, especially because hotel shuttles drop off and pick up at Federal Circle, the same place that you drop off a rental car. It was run down and dirty. The faucet in the shower was falling out of the wall and the security lock on the door was breaking. There was also a huge crack in the bathroom mirror. The bed was awful. Completely caving in on the side. The room reeked of marijuana to the point it was also difficult to sleep. During the night, there was stomping and banging, partly because the hotel has hard floors. Someone got the room next to mine and the key didn’t work so he was incessantly shaking the door handle. Then at 4 am, the person in the room on the other side of me had an alarm going off while they were in the shower. Not necessarily the hotel’s fault, but it was just a soft phone alarm; there’s no way I should have been able to hear it through the wall.

Not satisfied with the service. There was no available parking at the hotel and front desk clerk said go find the parking on the street. We reached middle of the night and drove five blocks and still couldn’t find the parking. So we had to go find another hotel with available parking and quality inn didn’t refund our money. Very disappointed. I would not suggest this place to anyone.

Entire place smelled like marijuana! No elevator from lobby requiring you to carry bags down stairs to get to an elevator. Airport shuttle is from Jamaica station Airtram and it only goes hourly and was 35mins late. I requested late check out and was told that I would have to pay to check out at 2 PM. I agreed to pay a specific amount and when I went to check out they told me they had to have it in cash. I didn’t have the cash so she asked me how much money I had and took what I had. Seems like the employees are pocketing the money.

Just average. Poor shuttle service. Nobody to answer the phone when calling for shuttle service from Federal circle. Waited more than 45 minutes to get a ride to the hotel.

One of the worst hotel experiences of my life. The bathroom was literally taped together. The shower curtain, shoer head and electrical outlet in the bathroom were all taped onto the wall. Then we were charged for a parking pass. When we got back to the hotel at midnight from picking someone up at JFK there were no parking spots available. When we asked we were told to park in the street. When we asked for a refund we were told the if they refunded us our car might get stolen. The next morning I talked to the front counter person about this. Figuring there might have been a language barrier. She apologized and told me she would refund me for the parking pass. She did not refund me. Stay any place else.

Had to wait 50 minutes from the time we called until they picked us up at air port. Hotel is only mile and half from air port. Very easy to get to hotel pick up at air port just take air train it's free.The hotel was clean. Room was very nice, a little more street noise then I would have liked , light breakfast just right .

Most important to note is that thetr are stairs once you enter the lobby that you have to take to go to your room and dining room. That means that you have to carry your bags up and down those stairs in order to go from your room to the shuttle and vice versa. It is not accessible for people on wheelchairs or limited mobility! Know that the shuttle only takes you to Federal circle where you'll have to take the airtrain to your terminal. This is contrary to other hotels in the area who take you directly to your terminal and airlines. The continental breakfast os basically boiled eggs, waffles and bread. The hotel itself looks a little dirty and so dod the room. You can probably find better for a little more money.

The hotel was old and dirty. It was unsafe and the staff was not helpful at all. Clean towels and linen was not available and the front desk attendant was clueless about how to get clean towels and sheets. Someone was pulling on my door at 2:17 AM and this made my stay VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. The hotel did not have security and the neighborhood was very sketchy. This lodging facility ruined my vacation. HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!

We had an unexpected layover at JFK and this was a last minute option. Our room was not clean, the entire hotel smelled like weed, there was hair all over our bathroom and bed. We did not feel safe. Do not recommend.

We arrived at our room to find it filthy and infested with bedbugs and other vermin. There was a white powder sprinkled by the rooms in the hallway which shows that they were aware of this condition. Because of the total unacceptability of the room conditions we immediately left the rooms as our photos will indicate and requested a refund. We were promised one as soon as the manager came into work on the monday. It has not happened and when Icalled to inquire about this , was hung up on.

The whole experience was bad. The hotel didn't answer after several tries for free airport shuttle, per the instructions, so paid $25.00 for a taxi and refused reimbursement. Others there had also had to fend for themselves to get to the hotel on a sweltering day. The desk, photos attached, was worse than something found in a junkyard, It was scotch tapped in several places, and bubbling up in others. It was really gross. I would have left if it wasn't so hot and I was exhausted. They put me in a downstairs room which I was directed to drag my suitcases down some stairs. I noticed a lift in the corner and asked why I couldn't use it, the receptionist said it was only for handicapped people. Well I am elderly with a bad back, so I insisted on using it. Really?? What kind of customer service is that? When I told the receptionist I wanted to speak to the manager, I was told he wasn't there, so I suggested she call him. She didn't even pick up the phone to attempt to contact him. Lastly, when I went to make coffee in the room, the basket that holds the coffee pods was missing, so I was unable to do so. With all this, I sent an email to the manager a week ago voicing my displeasure over all of these issues, and asking for, at the very least, reimbursement for the taxi I had to take since they didn't respond to my phone calls. Needless to say, I have heard nothing. Stay away!!!

Based on the reviews and the price, I expected a moderate hotel, not a below budget hotel, with the smell of weed on every floor, doors slamming at all hours and shady/seedy people hover around the entrance. The room and ripped sheets, a bathtub that didn’t drain and wall paper peeling from the wall, definitely not an enjoyable night and wouldn’t recommend.

The bed was actually surprisingly comfortable, and the room quiet, but it was very old and not clean. I saw black mold on the walls and in a lot of the bathroom, and there was a bug crawling across the floor. The hotel had a bad smell throughout the hallways. Note that the airport shuttle picks up and drops off only once per hour and it only takes you to the air train, not all the way to/from a terminal. There's not much food in the area, but there's a good Jamaican place up the street you can do for takeout. It didn't seem particularly safe or secure considering there was a glass divider between the reception counter and the employee to avoid contact with patrons. Overall it was just a very cheap and rundown place, and for the price it just didn't seem worth it at all.

Absolutely do not book this hotel. It is disgusting. The dresser looked like it came off the street. There were some type of stains on the walls. The receptionist was behind a plastic barrier and hit the barrier with her hand to get our attention. We walked into the room and walked right back out. This hotel should not even be on hotels. Com. We booked another hotel and our Uber driver said he was pretty sure that was a shelter. We are in the process of trying to get our money back as it was not that cheap.

The room was dirty. We had to change rooms because the door to the first one wouldn’t open. Then, the bathtub in the new room didn’t work properly, and when we showered, the water wouldn’t drain. It was very disgusting, and the smell was horrible. The bed was good, but there was a lot of noise coming from outside.

The room looks old and the area doesn’t seem safe

The stay was very average. For a one night stay on the first floor there were many noises throughout the night and the windows did not lock and felt very thin. It was difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

Comfortable bed, but noisy at night due to ground floor room by parking lot. Recommend getting a room on upper levels.

This hotel has not seen any renovation work in years. The windows are single pane and the AC unit was had holes around the wall all the way through to the outside. We did not feel overly safe and there is a musty smell throughout all areas of the building we were in. Had we not been travelling for over 27 hours and in desperate need of sleep we would have left and found another hotel.

No frills place to spend a night before an early flight out of JFK. Room was clean and well maintained.

This hotel was in a “perfect storm” - road construction went on all night. Rooms VERY out dated in every way. They were clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff also was great but overall NOT a good experience

We just stayed there overnight to catch an early flight, and that was ok. However, the hotel has seen its best days in the past. A strong draft (in January!) through the windows created an uncomfortable room feeling. In addition, the hotel is on a busy street and the room was very noisy all night.

Our first view of the room was the broken blind. The bed was large and comfortable but the noise of vehicles passing over loose metal plates in the road outside made it impossible to sleep. At about 1am the lights came on outside with no way to block it out. Upon arrival I was told my credit card had not gone through with no notification. I had to make a new reservation upon arrival after waiting at least 45 minutes for the shuttle, for an additional cost of course.

I had requested a room on an upper floor and was told there were none available. The walls are very thin and I could hear loud voices well after 1 am. The cheap furniture and finishes were worn and shabby. There was only 1 plug that was accessible to charge phones etc.

Receptionist was rude. Room door would not close complely. Didn’t fix it. Lobby area horrible. Breakfast was ready by 6:20 am not 6:00 am. Shuttle was nice and driver was friendly

Sonali is an excellent Rep at the front desk. Very professional knowledgeable and thoughtful… staff of pleasant and room service is excellent! Love it there.

Staffs are friendly and very convenient to go to hotel and return back to JFK airport by using its shuttle bus service.

I had a guaranteed reservation got to hotel (Quality Inn JFK) at 3.40 pm. They stated there was no reservation for me. I SHOWED them proof on my phone. The guy at the front desk said the charged my card before my arrival and when ot did not go through they cancelled my reservation and there is no more room at the hotel. So I have to scout for another means of accomodation.

Booked and called front desk based on welcome email phone number for airport shuttle. Nobody answered. Found another number online selected new booking to get through

So many problems though it served it's purpose Front desk lady was just a B. We were asked for $22 more for a room that was paid in full on Hotels.com. OK, not happy but I wanted to lay down. The credit card processing machine was not working. We tried 4 of my husband's cards and 1 of mine. None worked which is impossible. We then got her $40 in cash at ATM in lobby. But, SHE COULD NOT OFFER CHANGE! We came back in the morning and she was still not able to make change. Why she could not have accepted $20 instead of the $21.98 is beyond me. Luckily, we found 2 dollars. The place feels shady and a seedy although there were many other people traveling like us- get in late on flight, few hour sleep, and then back to the airport. LYFT was $21 from airport. Prob the better choice late at night. They have a shuttle. Get there early in the AM bc it fills up. Only goes to Air Train, so allow extra time for both. Would I do it again? Maybe, but I would also check on better brand hotels around the area. They were twice the price when I checked and since we were only resting for 6 hours, I could not justify it.

Horrible Experience. I had my flight booked the following day and I checked with the day staff in reception when I check in if I can store my luggage somewhere in the hotel after my checkout since my flight was in the evening. The day receptionist confirmed it’s not a problem and I can store my luggage . But when I checked out in the morning and asked the night receptionist who was on duty ( Sam) she was so rude and refused to keep my luggage as confirmed by day staff . I even asked if I can speak to the manager and she said she is unable to arrange that until 11am where as my flight was at 9 am . Because of this I couldn’t arrange anything at the last minute and had to spend $103 for 3 suitcases to store it in the terminal 4 luggage storage . Will never ever recommend this property and please avoid .

Great service! At first I had the wrong phone number for the shuttle but once I got in touch with the hotel they picked me up in no time and service was great. The receptionist was amazing and super helpful. She printed something for me and went above and beyond. Would come again

I would NEVER recommend this hotel. They gave our rooms away leaving my family & kids stranded in the middle of the night in New York with no place to stay & ended up having to sleep in Penn Station for 6 hours!!! The front desk attendant was extremely uncaring, unaccommodating, unprofessional & flat out indifferent! This should never happen to any family & is the WORST hotel!

Bad service personel

The room was clean. The noise is typical New York noise but the windows must be very bad as it was so loud we thought they were open. The area is a little iffy, I would not walk around. The check in staff are behind plexy glass. The staff were nice. You do have to take luggage up & down 8-10 steps before gwtting to an elevator or out of the hotel. Beds not horrible. We did not have breakfast. Coffe was decent.

My flight arrived late and waited for 45 minutes (in very cold weather) for the shuttle that never showed up. The hotel is not in a great area and the outside apeareance is not the best. The counter has a glass like a gas station which does not give much comfort about the security of the area. Breakfast was ok. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. It is ok if you have to stay near the airport to catch a next day flight, but just take a taxi if you are arriving late and it is winter time.

Stayed just for one night. Closeness to JFK was very convenient.

Well located, shuttle service was good. Nice continental breakfast, clean dining area. The bed was good and the bathroom clean. Overall, the property needs updating.

Great location 15 min drive from jfk. They also have shuttle available every hour but only takes you to air train station . Hotel and room were ok for the price nothing extra or fancy but ok to sleep in for a night before your flight .

The pros: close to the airport, clean rooms, very comfortable beds, clean and hot showers The cons: The property and its surroundings are in middling shape. There is a complimentary airport shuttle, but do not expect it to come anywhere near on time. There is also breakfast but pretty basic and not worth it. The management is helpful and well meaning but not professional in an American sense.

The check in was slow and inefficient. From the lobby the hotel looked lrun down but the rooms were clean, modern and nice. The included breakfast had no protein,. I’d stay here again as it’s close to the airport and has a shuttle.

Safe, quiet and freindly staffs. However, breakfast time and items are below average. Lift issue

Front desk was not helpful with where to get some dinner. And barely seemed to care we were checking in. We were told to"take your luggage down stairs" to reach the elevator. There was a lift but it wasn't offered. Maybe it didn't work? Hotel was shabby. Breakfast was out of everything except white toast, a waffle machine, OJ and coffee. No yogurt, fruit or pastries. This hotel is barely adequate.

Breakfast was poor. We come at 8:30 and nothing was there except waffle mix. And it was enough for our family of 4.

The beds were very comfortable; my daughter agreed. The breakfast tasted good. I ate a waffle, some vanilla yogurt and an apple. I drank hot coffee, water and apple juice. Suggestions for improvement: Do not charge for early arrival because a guest on a budget is counting on the lower Expedia price per night. Please ensure that the hallways have been vacuumed and include proteins in the breakfast menu. Thank you.

Conveniently located near to JFK. Free shuttle that drops you at the SkyTrain which is a simple free monorail-like ride that stops at each of the airport terminals. Hotel itself was pretty basic. Clean. However front desk staff not particularly helpful. We couldn’t get TV to work….”oh we only have a few channels”. Breakfast was adequate with only a few options which was fine. But supplies ran out well before the end time and were not replaced. When asked if she could replenish, she said there was no one to do it. It serves its purpose for us by having a short free shuttle ride to airport. But would not stay here as part of a vacation in NYC
