Stayed 2 nights

My second year in a row staying here, very nice and clean. Good staff. Only issue 2 years in a row is no toilet paper in my room. Just a partial roll. I always have to snag a roll from the downstairs bathroom.

Outside grounds were in terrible shape but the worst part was the kitchen. We were given kitchen privileges and when we tried to use it there were two sinks full of dirty glasses and cups, shoes and fly poison on the counter top and a very filthy stove. My wife needs a special diet which we could not prepare because of the conditions in the kitchen forcing us to find a restaurant rather than preparing our meal. We tried on several occasions to talk to the owner but he never returned our calls. The only positive comment was about the room itself, it was clean. We have pictures to back up our claims about the kitchen but I doubt that anyone really cares. Jim Milligan 7-1-2026

The property was a converted early 1920’s house, with graceful features such as a beautiful carved wooden staircase, front porch, and French doors retained. Our room was large and comfortable, and included two reclining chairs, as well as a desk and chair. With all that furniture, plus a dresser, it wasn’t crowded at all. For a longer term stay, the cedar closet would be very appreciated. The bed was comfortable. The only drawback was that the hand towel rack in the bathroom was up pretty high, and was quite a stretch for this short woman. The bath towel rack only held one towel, so the second person had to drape a towel over one of the chairs to dry. Oh, the room was well lit, the a/c worked well, and there was a ceiling fan so we didn’t have to turn the a/c down really cool.
