Property is great. Clean and nice rooms. My only downside is parking. $24/day. Parking ended up costing me $72. Honestly next time ill use that money at a slightly nicer hotel that doesnt charge for parking

Very near Yale university. The hotel is very clean and the hotel staff were kind and helpful. I got a work out in their nice fitness room. I enjoyed my stay before making my self into NYC.

My daughter and I were amazed at how clean and comfy our room was and hotel atmosphere was warm and inviting. We foind out they have a live band jazz night on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The band(11/26) was fantastic. They provide secure garage parking for $24 per day. The gym provided enough equipment for a nice workout.

Clean, modern, spacious and comfortable room (King Deluxe) and same positive attributes as to the hotels’ public spaces. Good dinner and breakfast at the restaurant (reasonably priced). Very convenient for walking to Yale New Haven Hospital. Helpful staff. Parking available but also easy to get Uber/Lyft anywhere in New Haven.

Staff was great. Accidentally booked two rooms and they were helpful getting the other reservation canceled at no charge. Room was clean although I think something was going on with the sewerage during my 2 night stay because the bathroom toilet had a funky sewer smell to it which it didn’t have last time I stayed there and I spoke to another guest who was staying on another floor and she said that her bathroom had the same smell but I would still definitely stay here again. Great nightly rate and convenient parking garage available within feet from the hotel.

Furnishings were nice. On the negative side: hair in room on bed and in bathroom. Water jug in gym was empty. Sanitary wipes in gym not available. Showers are slightly warm, not hot. In room smoke detector flashed green light all night.

I was very disappointed in the condition of the room. The bathroom wasn’t very clean and Our bathroom door was stuck on the wheel track and would not move without force, my husband is disabled and could barely move the door himself When we asked for someone to look at it while we were gone, we were told that someone would come by to fix it, no one did and the entire trip we kept reminding the front desk and reminded them again as we checked out that the door still hadn’t been looked at. Secondly we asked for someone to come by and clean the room and for fresh towels and we never got that, we ended up not extending our stay at this hotel as planned and moving to another hotel for the reminder of the week. This trip wasn’t for pleasure, we were here for a family emergency and this just added stress to our stay

The hotel was okay, but the room floors were dirty, which was pretty disappointing. Housekeeping came by and left a note saying they couldn’t make the beds because we had personal items on them (just sunglasses), which is fine, but they didn’t clean anything else either. Not sure why. Probably won’t stay here again..

The Cambria Hotel New Haven is a great hotel. I loved the contemporary decor. It's a relatively new hotel of only a few years old. Some of the finishes in the room were worn out. The front desk personnel were very professional, friendly, and helpful. The wait staff in the lobby restaurant was efficient but not overly welcoming or friendly. I'd say it's great value for the money. I'd stay there again. It's walkable from the entertainment area and the campus of Yale and Yale New Haven Hospital. I might feel a little unsafe later in the night. But, I walked from the hotel easily to Union Station and all areas in downtown.

My room and bathroom were incredibly beautiful and new. I love the way the shower stall was set up with the handle far enough away from the shower head so that I didn't freeze when I turned it on. At first. I liked the sliding doors that didn't take up any room. The only thing is I did not have a microwave in my room. Other than that I really liked staying there. They even had a Shays in the room as well as the bed.

Nice place to stay a good value. Bed could have been more comfortable but still good. Windows didn’t block much noise so construction noise and heavy rain seemed loud. Points for improvement but would stay again.

If you are hoping to get a good night's sleep, this may not be the place for you. My room had a smoke detector with a blinking light that kept us up all night. I felt like there was a photographer in my room all night taken my photo using a flash every 10 seconds. I complained to the front desk and they said there was nothing they could do - that all of the rooms had smoke detectors with blinking lights. My sleep was disrupted, which in turn disrupted my enjoyment of my trip.

Very noisy rooms, loud traffic noise in the room. Strange light( perhaps fire detector) blinking over the bed all night. Weirdly shaped pillows. New hotel, it could have been nice if the used better building materials.

Brand new hotel, very nice rooms/bathrooms. Be aware of paid overnight parking in structure next door (no free onsite parking). When we checked in, the two queen room we reserved was unavailable, so we were substituted a king suite. In our situation it was workable, just not ideal. But, to me, it was unacceptable because it was not what we reserved. Also, there is a VERY bright blinking light on the smoke alarm in the bedroom, which you can see eyes closed. Luckily I had a sleep mask in my suitcase or I would never have been able to sleep.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, staff was nice. I loved the hardwood floors in my room. My only issue were the pillows weren’t comfortable. I suggest bringing your own pillows.

I stayed here for four nights. The first morning, I discovered that there was no body wash, so I asked for some when I left that morning. They did not refill it. The next morning, I received a text from (supposedly) housekeeping saying that I was due for a cleaning after my third night, but if there's anything that I needed now, please let them know. I again told them about the body wash and asked for something else. Came back to find it hadn't happened, so I called and asked them for another bar of soap (I at least got this). I was looking forward to clean towels and some housekeeping when I got back at the end of my third full day there, only to find out that housekeeping hadn't come by. It took two more calls to get them to bring up towels. So, I was there for four days, the room wasn't cleaned at all, and there was no follow-through on items asked for without additional effort - even when they reach out to tell customers that they will get the service.

We don’t stay at Cambria Hotel due to our room being given away to another customer. Cambria Hotel provides us another hotel, Hotel of Marcel which was another eight minutes drive. Although Marcel was nice, I didn’t appreciate the additional $50.00 pay where I have not received my refund from Cambria while more receptionist was rude with an attitude. No thanks for staying with either hotels again.

The staff were very professional and accommodating. They were beyond the duties to make us feel welcomed. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. I have travel several times a year, this hotel by far punches above its weight. I highly recommend

Parking was great, although we paid for late check out and was charged an additional fee because we didn’t check out at 11:30. Also, housekeeping did a great job with providing a clean room-but did not know we had late check out and attempted to come into our room at 10:00am. At check out, the front desk didn’t even make eye contact or care.

Our stay at Cambria in New Haven was excellent! There was an ice/snow storm while we were there, but it didn’t slow us down. I loved that the well-lit parking garage is right next door, and even though it’s costly, it was expected, and worth it to be able to get in and out easily, safely, and never have to deal with ice on or around the car. We still walked nearly everywhere we went, because the location is convenient to the University, shopping, and dining options. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and our room was very nice. The only drawback was that there was not a microwave or refrigerator in the room, but we were able to use a microwave in the lobby when needed.

Stayed at this Cambria for 3 nights on a business trip and will definitely stay here again in the future. The hotel was well designed, food was fantastic and appreciated the free coffee in the lobby. Parked my car in the garage and glad I did, was in the elevator with a hotel guest and their car was stolen off the street parking.

Hotel was okay. Breakfast staff was not friendly - acted like serving was beneath them. Bar charge me $16 for a pint of beer. Four beers for two people $64. I’ve been to all major cities throughout the US and several throughout Europe and have never been charged $16 for a pint in any hotel.

Lovely. The only thing is that it is really too much for one person to have to manage the bar and the restaurant at the same time. With the bar location separate, it’s just not realistic to have just one person having to serve.

The menu is very limited & the portions were small. We paid for chicken tacos & only got 2, which made them expensive - they were not worth the price. Other items ordered were also not great either for the price or taste. For breakfast we ordered oatmeal, which was incredibly watery & not cooked enough - would be better to be made with milk or at least as an option.

The hotel staff, room and facilities was great. The breakfast service was VERY SLOW! Almost walked away without waiting. Would recommend visitors go out to eat instead.
