Beautiful hotel and fantastic staff inside. My only gripe is that the Valet parking employees were difficult to find and 2 of the 4 lacked the professionalism you would hope for when trusting someone with your vehicle. Also, some uniforms instead of sweatpants and hoodies would help them out.

Beautiful hotel, friendly staff and the valet is easy and they are super helpful even during busy times when they are getting many cars. Great gym, check restaurant hours - they seem to be open more on the weekends.

We were in town at the last minute and booked with The Blake Hotel based on other reviews. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the room and hotel overall. The staff was polite and very helpful from the front desk to the parking attendants. We dined at the Siena located within the hotel and found the food and staff exceptional. We look forward to booking with The Blake Hotel again.

The lobby and bar/restaurant have a very appealing look, very nicely decorated as are the hallways. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.I would say that the bathroom lighting is inadequate for putting on makeup, way too dark in there. Also there was no desk light either which was needed. Floor was a bit sticky which made me wonder what was used to clean it. Other than that, very nice hotel.

Great location; great amenities in the room. My only complaint was the barn door to the bathroom would not stay closed; which with four people was a bit of a hassle. But, overall we loved the property and would stay again!

Room was spacious and staff was courteous and efficient. Location was excellent for walking around downtown . The air conditioning was horrible as room had only a cooling unit by the window with no central distribution system. It was 80 degrees all night and difficult to sleep. Room was expensive yet they charge you for everything, such as bottled water, parking and breakfast.

Wish we could have some free bottles of water. The bathroom door is sliding and can’t close properly. Overall it is a great and modern property. I would recommends it and will stay again if the price is good.

The hotel is perfectly located near good restaurants and the Yale Art Gallery and Yale Center for British Art. The interior design is gorgeous throughout the hotel and the rooms are spacious and well-appointed with an apartment-style kitchen, including pots, pans, utensils, dishwasher, sink, microwave, fridge, and two electric burners. The staff was friendly, helpful, and very professional, and the the valet service was convenient (you enter on the side of the building, around the corner from the main lobby entrance to drop off your car for valet). My only complaint is the poor sound insulation: you could easily hear noise from the hallway and from mechanical systems, and I was woken up in the middle of the night by someone blasting a boombox outside on the street. In spite of this, I would definitely stay here again!

Property is nice but the rooms are not quiet and could would wake up early because of the noise. You can literally hear the people above your room constantly walking around, can hear cleaning. It’s not a quiet hotel and was not able to sleep during my stay.

Great hotel and in a good location. I liked that there was a small kitchen that included a small stove and kettle to make tea and even a microwave and dishwasher. My only complaint is that many of the TV channels didn't work for some reason, but I was able to log in to my Netflix account which worked out better.

We always stay at the Blake when we’re in New Haven. It’s always comfortable, clean and convenient and the staff is always friendly and responsive. Plus the valet parking offers in and out privileges. Highly recommend!

I had a few issues with my room, the woman at the front desk, Alisha came up and took care of it immediately. She was friendly and professional, and solved the issue very quickly. That was much appreciated. Everyone I dealt with at this hotel were very professional and very friendly. I’m thinking, management at this hotel must do a good job and that reflects in the way the personnel takes care of business.

The property itself is lovely. Modern, clean and spacious room and nice lobby. Valet parking was convenient also. My issue was that the woman at the front desk was not accommodating when we requested late checkout--we checked in after 11pm (check-in time is 4pm) and wanted to check out at 2pm instead of 11am. She would only give us an hour until noon, and her reasoning made no sense given that their checkin time is not until 4pm... She wanted to be able to accommodate the incoming guests who might checkin early, rather than a current exhausted guest who had very little time to enjoy the room! Service was not their number one priority.

Anthony at the front desk went above and beyond to help us—we are here with a family member in ICU at Yale. We aren’t sure how long we will be staying and Anthony has been very compassionate and helped us cobble our stay together night by night.

Very impressed with the enormous and well furnished lobby, check in was fast and our room was spacious, clean and very well equipped with kitchenette. Great location, short walk to Yale University and restaurants in one direction and Yale NH Hospital in the other. Just wish the lobby restaurant was open for breakfast as only poor alternative choices.

The associated restaurant provided an excellent dinner experience. Breakfast was offered by the Blake in the form of a selection of cereals, fruit salad, pastries, etc available for purchase with coffee brewed upon request. For the overall price and ambience, this area could be upgraded.

Really like this hotel but frustrated that the restaurant and bar were closed for a private event and I wasn’t told before booking. I stayed for my birthday and had people coming to meet me at the hotel for birthday drinks and bar to rearrange everything last minute.

The room was lovely and the staff great. I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed for a private event. I got in a bit late and could not eat or get a glass of wine. They were nice enough to let me go to the bar and get a glass of wine but I felt like the bar should have remained open to other guests.
