My husband and I wrapped up our Greek vacation with a 4 night stay in Kalamata. The Horizon Blu Hotel was the perfect place to unwind from a very fast paced vacation around several of the Greek Islands. Our spacious oceanfront room was immaculate with a well stocked mini bar. We really loved our private plunge pool. The sea and mountain views were simply beautiful. The breakfast that was included with our stay was fresh and delicious; there were several options for any appetite. They even had a do-it-yourself Greek coffee station. We enjoyed the main pool area and beach alike. The hotel provides chairs and umbrellas for those staying at the property. There is also food/bar service at the beach. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and efficient. We will definitely come back to the Horizon Blu when we return for a visit to this beautiful seaside town.

room was very clean. The mattress could be a little bit better.. breakfast is OK too good not amazing. I stayed at the same hotel a few years ago and it was fantastic but the property itself is wonderful design easy access to the beach and the pool is fantastic.

This is a relatively small hotel so never feels crowded or busy. The pool area is wonderful - large pool, comfortable beds. Breakfast is extensive and available until 11 which is very relaxed. The beach is just over the road. It is a 10 minute walk to beach bars/restaurants. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

The property is located at the end of the “shopping/hotels” strip. Close enough to all, yet far enough to be away to be quiet. Room was very roomy, had its own patio with wonderful vies of the pool and ocean. We had a car, plenty of on-site parking. Location was central to all we wanted to see in the area. Staff was friendly, courteous and attentive. Specially the breakfast staff. We were able to send our laundry out, back in one day, great job, and inexpensive too.

The location of the hotel was very convenient - near the seaside and the sea was very near and good for the evening. Breakfast was very good with a good range of local food offered. The facilities on the beach were not great. The sun umbrella should have been upgraded and the lido cleanliness should be improved given that it was not exclusively reserved to the hotel. The hotel offered a bike service but the bikes were broken and one broke down whilst using it. The hotel offered kindly a dinner and changed the bikes - this was appreciated. The personnel should be more experienced and trained more.

Great location that is NOT directly in Kalamata. 5 minutes drive down the street to all the action. No problem parking (in May). Staff were all extremely helpful and professional. Pool is very nice and big on a raised deck overlooking the beach which is right across the street. You can also walk into the action at Kalamata. Probably a 20 minute walk. I drove into town and was able to park in the large lot. Will recommend and return to this hotel. Only issue was the entrance for th hotel is on the side street and Apple Maps sends you 3 blocks away (sad that Apple Maps still lacks).

Vi var der en uge i oktober, og oplevede at der var masser af plads ved poolen og ved morgenmadsbordet. Personalet var meget venlige og rengøring var helt i top. Morgen var varieret, så der var lidt for enhver smag. Bestemt et sted vi kunne tænke os at komme tilbage til.

Staff was great, clean rooms, clean hotel, large rooms, comfortable bed, great breakfast, everything about the hotel and room was a 5 star except for the shower that should not get even a 1 star, shower head was broken, it was miserable taking a shower, what a shame for such a nice hotel, toilets are built so close to shower door, you hit your head in the door when trying to sit on the toilet and pillows were miserable, very uncomfortable.

The breakfast buffet was a great surprise! It had alot of selection and the food was good quality. Great seating area to eat also. The pool area has a nice view of the mountain and sea. Suggestions: The pool temperature was colder than the sea and needed to be warmer. The room bathrooms could use some better maintenance. Overall, a great stay. Thank you

Fantastic second stay. Staff, cleanliness of rooms, beautiful common area spaces and a good breakfast make it our choice when visiting Kalamata. This our second year returning and we look forward to next year.

Staff was great, clean rooms, clean hotel, large rooms, comfortable bed, great breakfast, everything about the hotel and room was a 5 star except for the shower that should not get even a 1 star, shower head was broken, it was miserable taking a shower, what a shame for such a nice hotel, toilets are built so close to shower door, you hit your head in the door when trying to sit on the toilet and pillows were miserable, very uncomfortable.

room was very clean. The mattress could be a little bit better.. breakfast is OK too good not amazing. I stayed at the same hotel a few years ago and it was fantastic but the property itself is wonderful design easy access to the beach and the pool is fantastic.

The property is located at the end of the “shopping/hotels” strip. Close enough to all, yet far enough to be away to be quiet. Room was very roomy, had its own patio with wonderful vies of the pool and ocean. We had a car, plenty of on-site parking. Location was central to all we wanted to see in the area. Staff was friendly, courteous and attentive. Specially the breakfast staff. We were able to send our laundry out, back in one day, great job, and inexpensive too.

The hotel is in the perfect location and staff was very welcoming and helpful. They are helpful when calling cabs to downtown or around the area and when you have questions about the area. Service at the beach, pool and breakfast is not perfect but you can tell who is there to work and improve and who is just there because they have to be.

The location of the hotel was very convenient - near the seaside and the sea was very near and good for the evening. Breakfast was very good with a good range of local food offered. The facilities on the beach were not great. The sun umbrella should have been upgraded and the lido cleanliness should be improved given that it was not exclusively reserved to the hotel. The hotel offered a bike service but the bikes were broken and one broke down whilst using it. The hotel offered kindly a dinner and changed the bikes - this was appreciated. The personnel should be more experienced and trained more.

Great location that is NOT directly in Kalamata. 5 minutes drive down the street to all the action. No problem parking (in May). Staff were all extremely helpful and professional. Pool is very nice and big on a raised deck overlooking the beach which is right across the street. You can also walk into the action at Kalamata. Probably a 20 minute walk. I drove into town and was able to park in the large lot. Will recommend and return to this hotel. Only issue was the entrance for th hotel is on the side street and Apple Maps sends you 3 blocks away (sad that Apple Maps still lacks).

Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous pool and beach area. Breakfast was delicious, with coffee of choice, if you wanted to order something special. Myself, I just like a strong black coffee which I helped myself to. The view from my balcony of the sea and mountain was especially soothing and peaceful. Staff were friendly and readily available to answer any questions. Great restaurants within minutes on the beach and all had excellent seafood. love grilled calamari and that was readily available at all. There are mini markets within a 5 minute walk if you want to pick up extra beer or wine. I arrived from Athens on the express bus (3hrs)and from the Kalamata bus station caught the bus that goes along the beach which dropped me off just past the hotel entrance. Cost was 1.5 euro, took about 25 mins. Kalamata is so peaceful, Horizon blue is a laid back and wonderful hotel.

This is a relatively small hotel so never feels crowded or busy. The pool area is wonderful - large pool, comfortable beds. Breakfast is extensive and available until 11 which is very relaxed. The beach is just over the road. It is a 10 minute walk to beach bars/restaurants. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

My husband and I wrapped up our Greek vacation with a 4 night stay in Kalamata. The Horizon Blu Hotel was the perfect place to unwind from a very fast paced vacation around several of the Greek Islands. Our spacious oceanfront room was immaculate with a well stocked mini bar. We really loved our private plunge pool. The sea and mountain views were simply beautiful. The breakfast that was included with our stay was fresh and delicious; there were several options for any appetite. They even had a do-it-yourself Greek coffee station. We enjoyed the main pool area and beach alike. The hotel provides chairs and umbrellas for those staying at the property. There is also food/bar service at the beach. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and efficient. We will definitely come back to the Horizon Blu when we return for a visit to this beautiful seaside town.

This is a small, quaint property that is superbly maintained. I can't recall having a better experience with any service staff I've encountered. Given the sea mist that typically covers these types of properties, one would expect some moist outside furniture, but rest assured HB's staff was on the spot making sure that wasn't the case. The breakfast buffet was huge and the food was outstanding. Suffice it to say, this is a superb property, and one that can be enjoyed without having to take out a mortgage to pay for it. Five stars!

We really enjoyed our staying. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and the beach was right across the street. The pool area was impeccably clean and a very nice relaxing area to stay in. Breakfast every morning was delightful and the ability to make your own Greek coffee in the sand was an exciting addition to the day. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
