Parc et Lac’s location can’t be beat, it’s right in front of Lake Geneva and is a few min walk from Montreux train station. However, you’ll either need to take the stairs or elevator to the street below to get to the hotel. The receptionist at the hotel was also very friendly and the room itself has good amenities like soft towels, kettle, tea/coffee and hair dryer. My main complaint though is that the portable air conditioner was woefully inadequate, couldn’t cool the room despite the small size. It was unbearably hot and very difficult to sleep, thankfully it was just for one nite. Also, there was no laundry in the bldg, you would need to send it out in the morning if you wanted it done.

We picked this hotel because of the location across the street from the waterfront. It’s an older hotel with a very small and Un inviting lobby and small elevator. Room was clean and very basic. No frills hotel in a good location and friendly staff.

Baustelle vor dem Hotel und Baustellen im Hotel. Die Türen fallen mit lautem Krachen ins Schloss. Das Personal fühlt sich bei jeder Anfrage gestört, weil die Gäste alles selber herausfinden sollen. Der Frühstücksraum ist verschlossen, kein Personal vor Ort. Mit der zweiten Schlüsselkarte konnte man die Türe öffnen. Keine hoteleigenen Parkplätze verfügbar aber ein Parkhaus auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite. Das Bett war super. Das Frühstück ganz ok. Die Bilder im Hotel sind traumhaft. Das Gebäude selber ist wunderschön, doch das billlige Mobiliar zerstört das Kunstwerk Obwohl ich die 2 Zimmer gebucht und bezahlt hatte, wurde vom Holel hauptsächlich meine Begleitperson angeschrieben. Da sie verhindert war und ich allein anreisen musste, bat ich um ein upgrade in Höhe des 2. bezahlten Zimmers. Es wurde abgelehnt mit der Begründung, dass die beiden Zimmer separat und auf unterschiedliche Namen gebucht worden seien. (Ich hatte nur den Namen meiner Begleitperson bei der Buchung angegeben). Als kleines upgrade erhielt ich ein renoviertes Zimmer und fragte mich, wie es wohl vor der Renovation ausgesehen haben muss. Die Store muss von Hand heraufgeschoben und heruntergezogen werden. Der WC-Sitz ist zu klein und schief und wenn man sich auf den Deckel setzt, muss man befürchten, dass er bricht. Die Klimaanlage (ein Gerät mit einem Schlauch aus dem Fenster) liess sich nicht angenehm einstellen und die Fensterverriegelung funktionierte nicht einwandfrei.

Good value in a great location. I had a room overlooking the lake - was quiet enough given the relatively busy street below. Nice little balcony as well. Check-in was easy. Some furnishings were a bit rough around the edges but everything was clean.

The lake view is wonderful. The hotel location is nice, close to train station and easy to find. However, the room have a humidity smell and the toilet have strong smell which doesn’t comfortable.

Bad experience Si vous payez 100 CHF la nuit, cela peut encore passer. Au-delà, vous vous faites clairement avoir. Attention aux réservations de dernière minute sur Hotel.com : les tarifs peuvent doubler sans que le niveau de l’hôtel ne suive. Les sols en lino, omniprésents et assez disgracieux, donnent immédiatement une impression datée. L’odeur très forte de produits de nettoyage a été difficilement supportable pour notre famille, au point de rendre le séjour inconfortable. Dans la chambre familiale, on a à peine la place de circuler entre les lits. Ils ont réussi à caser quatre lits dans une chambre de taille presque standard, ce qui rend l’espace peu fonctionnel. À noter malgré tout un point positif : la literie est confortable, c’est le seul vrai plus constaté. L’accueil est expéditif, avec une sensation de passage au guichet d’une fête foraine plutôt que dans un hôtel. Dans ces conditions, nous ne sommes pas restés jusqu’à la deuxième nuit et avons quitté l’établissement avant la fin du séjour.

Our bathroom had a very strong sewer smell that didn't go away and made the rest of the room smell if you left the door open. The room was a bit dingy and older but seemed to be clean. And they had a portable AC unit in there, sounded like a white noise machine but kept the room cool. The hotel was close to the bus lines and train station and is a great location to explore Montreux on foot.

Hotel bom próximo à estação de trem e perto de comércio e restaurantes. Limpeza deixou um pouco a desejar no sentido de várias partes do quarto como soleiras e cantos estarem bem empoeirados e a chaleira térmica não parecer tão limpa. Caso vá de trem e esteja com muita bagagem já fique atento que apesar de ser perto, tem que subir/descer escada no caminho

This was a nice sized room with a comfy king sized bed. The building itself is historic, but the rooms are updated and modern with hard surface flooring. We were on the third floor and had a nice balcony that looked over the lake. Lots of shopping and dining options near the hotel. Easy to grab transit or Taxi/Uber as well. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Montreaux.

Run down and very tired. I'm glad we only stayed one night as I didn't enjoy staying here. Room was dated and the TV didn't even work.

Een fijne ruime kamer, goed bed, grote badkamer. Balkon met uitzicht. Wij zaten op tweede etage. Voor een goed uitzicht moet je hoger zitten. Op de boulevard veel drukte ivm opbouw Jazz festival. Wifi was soms even goed, maar echt te zwak.

Perfect location with everything walking distance. We booked a room with a balcony and the views were amazing! There was an air con unit in the room which was greatly appreciated. The rooms are a little tired but the beds were comfy and the service was great.

The air conditioner didn’t work. The lady at the front desk got us another one and it was the same. Most of the time the room was in the 90s and it was more comfortable sitting outside along the lake!

Area was great. Walkable and great view if you chose a lakeview room. Hotel is a little difficult to spot unless you're actively looking for it because it has a restaurant right at the front. Convenient for food though which is nice. However, the receptionist was never at her desk and was very impatient whenever she had to be called down. Our room keys and door codes stopped working for no reason and we needed to wait until the next day to get new keys. Room didn't feel dirty per day but didn't feel clean overall. Wouldn't choose to stay there again if given a choice.

A neat, clean three star property. What I didn’t like was that the hotel had no intercom and no one at the reception after 7 or so in the evening. That is a safety hazard too and not great for me as a guest either.

Check-in system on-line cumbersome and ultimately non-functional. Had to completely redo at hotel even though completed prior. Breakfast denied day two though paid for (ultimately refunded). Late checkout awarded at front desk but keys not updated so locked out of room. Hotel safe and comfortable but front desk service inadequate.

The room was spacious and clean. The bed linen was nice and clean. Bathroom was clean and towels were very soft and clean. Location is great. Only drawback is there is no attendant after 8 pm so you must remember the code given to you at the time of check in , in order to go in and out of the hotel at night or you would be stuck outside. I strongly recommend that the hotel should display an emergency 24 hr number on their main door outside if guests get stuck outside for any reason past 8 pm. Also, there was no clear communication to us on how to check in past 8 pm so we had to make sure we reached the hotel in a hurry while the attendant was still present. Other than that the stay and the room was great.

I’ve had the best welcome at the hotel was a last-minute booking and the the receptionist and the manager gave me an upgrade of the room with a beautiful view. I will definitely visit again, thank you for making my stay so comfortable.

Baustelle vor dem Hotel und Baustellen im Hotel. Die Türen fallen mit lautem Krachen ins Schloss. Das Personal fühlt sich bei jeder Anfrage gestört, weil die Gäste alles selber herausfinden sollen. Der Frühstücksraum ist verschlossen, kein Personal vor Ort. Mit der zweiten Schlüsselkarte konnte man die Türe öffnen. Keine hoteleigenen Parkplätze verfügbar aber ein Parkhaus auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite. Das Bett war super. Das Frühstück ganz ok. Die Bilder im Hotel sind traumhaft. Das Gebäude selber ist wunderschön, doch das billlige Mobiliar zerstört das Kunstwerk Obwohl ich die 2 Zimmer gebucht und bezahlt hatte, wurde vom Holel hauptsächlich meine Begleitperson angeschrieben. Da sie verhindert war und ich allein anreisen musste, bat ich um ein upgrade in Höhe des 2. bezahlten Zimmers. Es wurde abgelehnt mit der Begründung, dass die beiden Zimmer separat und auf unterschiedliche Namen gebucht worden seien. (Ich hatte nur den Namen meiner Begleitperson bei der Buchung angegeben). Als kleines upgrade erhielt ich ein renoviertes Zimmer und fragte mich, wie es wohl vor der Renovation ausgesehen haben muss. Die Store muss von Hand heraufgeschoben und heruntergezogen werden. Der WC-Sitz ist zu klein und schief und wenn man sich auf den Deckel setzt, muss man befürchten, dass er bricht. Die Klimaanlage (ein Gerät mit einem Schlauch aus dem Fenster) liess sich nicht angenehm einstellen und die Fensterverriegelung funktionierte nicht einwandfrei.

WOW where dol start! This hotel was such a great find. Booked a few months ago, it was the best price I could find (cheapest)l knew we would be out all day exploring, didn't want to pay a fortune for somewhere to sleep. Easy to find, short walk from Station. Pleasant lady checked us in on reception. The hotel is an old quaint, historical building which I loved. Room was on 2nd floor at the back, very clean and comfortable. The bed was so comfortable, with the bed linen being fantastic quality and the pillows were the comfiest I have put my headon for a very long time (trying to find similar to buy now) not slept so well in ages. The shower pressure was brilliant and piping hot water at all times. Due to some early starts, we only had breakfast twice out of the 5 days (breakfast available from 7am) For 11 Swiss Francs, you seriously can't complain it is continental, help yourself to as much as you want. Yes there are no meats or sliced cheese, but remember you are only paying 11 Swiss Francs. There were boiled eggs,good selection of cereals, breads, croissants and my favourite, pancakes with maple syrup. Location is right on the front, 2 minute walk to Freddy Mercury statue, 10 min to Casino and the Queen Studio Experience. Plugs in the room are of course Swiss, but my European 2 pin plug worked, also USB socket in the lamp shelf by the bed. managed to read through the negative ones, booked the cheapest price hotel but wanted the Ritz in return. 100% would stay again!

The Montreux Jazz Festival was happening and that night it was very noisy until 2:00 or 3:00 am. We were told that the festival took three weeks. In addition, I don’t recommend this because of 2 other reasons: 1. We had to make the bed; 2. The hotel does not provide tissues.

Very convenient location - easy walk from the train station. Lots of shops and restaurants, just know that on Sundays many of the shops and restaurants are closed. The walk along Lake Geneva is beautiful. Easy to get to The Queen Museum (not that big, but interesting) and Freddie Mercury's statue.

Kleines in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Das Zimmer war geräumig und die Sauberkeit OK. Das Frühstück war einfach und gut. Das könnte ein Top Hotel sein an bester Lage, wenn etwas Geld in die Renovation gesteckt würde.

What a great place to spend a single night in Montreal. Close to the train, and right on the lake. An unbeatable location. Plentiful breakfast at a reasonable price (for Switzerland). Friendly and helpful staff with a great sense of humour.

We stayed in a family room, which was lovely and spacious. Comfy beds and nicely decorated with high ceilings. It was a bit warm without air con but fans were provided. Breakfast was good value with a nice selection available. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect!

Rooms have been nicely remodeled but they are strictly for sleeping nothing to sit on except the bed unless you get lake view room on second floor that has balcony and 2 seats and coffee table. There is no a/C and it was very hot in the room with just a electric fan and no cross ventilation
