I my opinion this is not a 5 star hotel. I even struggle calling it 4 stars to be honest. The check in staff was excellent. The luggage staff was not. The breakfast was nothing special, but the chocolate hour at 16:00 is a nice thought and was delicious. The beds and bedsing are a lot less comfortable compared to actual 5 star hotels in Bangkok. The shower is great but there is no bath. The pool water was great, but there are hundreds of very sharp edges because they removed a third of all the tiles for decoration purposes, but they didn't remove the sharp cement. That was very weird. The pool is lighted with a very bright building light. The tuktuk service is fine and the layout over 3 small building of the hotel is not intuitive and you need to pass several halls or elevators to get where you want to go. Parking is free though, butt for the price I would rather stay in any other 4 or 5 star hotel in Bangkok. Unless you are Indian or Muslim, they almost exclusively cater to these groups,, maybe to find a niche that is rewarding enough in the competitive market.

The reception wasn't very friendly, even though the hotel was informed well in advance – we had to wait three hours for the room. The hotel manager was able to rectify the initial negative impression.
