The room was very nice. Love the large bathroom, jacuzzi tub, soft bed and patio with vineyard right outside the door. The hotel staff seemed very overwhelmed and short staffed the weekend we were there but were very apologetic and accommodating. The pool was nice but spa looked dirty and unusable in my opinion. Location was perfect for visiting wine country. FYI the $50 gift card is only available if you book directly through the hotels website. Overall it’s a nice, quaint place to stay.

This is a great smaller property with great views from every room. Very quiet, private and with easy access to wineries nearby. The sister property is very close and both properties have a tasting room to enjoy. The food choices are a bit smaller here, but you can easily shuttle 3 minutes to South Coast Winery and Resort for a wonderful meal in their great restaurant or patio. Would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in the heart of Temecula's wine region. Large room with 5 piece bath, sitting area, and a patio facing the vineyard. The salt water pool and hot tub were refreshing and relaxing. Our stay came with a bottle of wine and continental breakfast.

Property as a whole was inviting and nicely done and kept. The pool area although small, was also nice and no charge for the cabanas! Pool nice and clean. No housekeeping at all in pool area-no towels, dirty glasses etc. for both days we visited and I had to go walking around to try to find someone in housekeeping to get towels. Room was nice, clean-but starting to feel dated and carpet was rolling up in center of floor and patio door needed maintenance. No microwave in room. Wasn't bad...but won't stay here again with all the options in Temecula.

The fact that it was a vineyard resort was nice. The rooms were large. But breakfast presentation was poor (yoghurt in paper cups, stale baked goods, coffee brought in to go with saran wrap). Not a very luxurious presentation for breakfast at all. No options on site for dinner.

Website is misleading, no minibar, bar, restaurant on site, just daytime snack bar by pool…We were asked to go across the street to there sister hotel (nice), for restaurant/bar. Room with kingsize bed is actually a sofa bed, better to get king size with sofa. Staff was however nice… and not too bad of a place…

This property is beautiful! Very nicely landscaped. We did not get to do the wine tasting on site or eat at the restaurant because they close early, but we got a ride on their shuttle to their sister winery South Coast, which is very close and open later. It's also very close to Lorimar. The room service breakfast was delicious.

The location of this hotel is perfect. Quiet. Beautiful. Transportation shuttle on site drops you off at sister property, which is walkable to restaurants and other wineries from there. Plus one winery/tasting room on direct site as well. Pool was lovely. Surprised to find a hot tub there too! And the in room spa jet tubs were great too. Glad we picked this place! Bonus: Our grapeline wine tour picked was door to door from here too.

Amazing—the room was small but the ceilings were so high it felt huge! The bathroom has a huge walk in shower and jacuzzi tub. The patio sits directly on the vineyard, and flowers are planted all around and smell amazing. There’s a heated pool and hot tub, fantastic wine, especially the Brut, and the little poolside restaurant was great-just wish it was open longer. Overall, 10/10

Such a nice hotel to stay at. They were actually like little bungalows with your own private patio over looking the vineyard. Staff was so nice & rooms were nice & big & clean. Will def be staying here again if we come back to Temecula

I recommend pulling the bed, couch and end tables away from the walls and killing all the spider first thing. Also recommend having the staff come and clean behind all these areas as well. Couldn’t believe the amount of dirt, trash, spiderwebs and spiders behind everything. It was unreal

First of all, they gave us handicap room without asking for it. The room looked like a hospital. There was no privacy. Pool maintenance workers were looking at our room. We complained and they gave us an upgraded room. The new room shower was full of black hair. So disgusting.

Given the cost/night for our stay I would have expected a greater attention to detail. The room was beautiful and we totally loved the view out of our French doors. However, consider the attention to detail issues I identified below: 1. The very loud opening and closing of the main door to the two suites of which we were one, as well as the door to our rooms. Our neighbor opened and closed their door constantly. It was loud enough to wake someone from a sound sleep. 2. Getting hot water from the bathroom sinks took forever. 3. Figuring out how to turn on the shower water was a little tricky. Adding to it was the confusion of what way to turn the faucet for hot vs. cold. It would have helped to have a C and H to help figure out which way to turn the faucet. Also, since it took so long to get hot water, it just added to the confusion. 4. For how much it cost to stay how about buying a higher grade of toilet paper. Geez! 5. Although we weren’t there to watch TV, I would have expected it to be larger. 6. The sliding mirrored doors to the closet kept coming off their tracks. I loved our room. It was beautiful. But, think about doing something about the details to justify how much is being charged.

First time we’ve had a room not ready by check in time at 4. Beautiful place but for over $450 a night, breakfast or a free bottle of wine would make it much more worth it. I’ve stayed in many similar winery bungalows that after the fact you say that was worth it, not the same here. Pros-beautiful view, location next to wineries. Cons-no water pressure in shower and bed was a pull out couch. Not the most comfortable mattress. For that much money for me at least not worth the stay.

Cute rooms but definitely dated. The couch cushions were very torn. The “fireplace” was so loud it could not be used. The view was beautiful. The grounds are well kept. I would stay there again.

The only thing that we didn’t like was hearing our next door neighbors coming in late and leaving early. The way the Villa's are setup, you share an entrance, so hear every time your neighbors are coming and going.

The accommodations are very nice with spacious rooms and a very large bathroom including a large shower room and a large tub. Two sinks are provided. The king-sized beds are comfortable and there is a round dining table with a comfortable couch facing a large TV screen and electric fireplace. The outside sitting area facing the vineyard is very comfortable enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sun set . Expected the stay to be a bit nicer based on the price point. Room was dated and the mattress was one of the worst I’ve ever slept on. The space was good but there were bugs in the room and housekeeping won’t clean your room unless you stay more than 3 nights.

We did not get checked in until 6:20. It was a complete circus at the reception desk. Rooms weren’t ready. Staff was very apologetic. I didn’t realize that I had a Murphy bed for almost $400 per night. Rooms are dated. I woulda’t stay here again.

I liked the property, it was quiet and convenient around town. Slept well. I did not appreciate arriving and being told that I'd get a call when the room was available, but I didn't get a call. The front desk check-in person was rude both early and afternoon shifts. The shower water temp was very hard to regulate, it was either too cold or too hot nothing in the middle.

This stay was a huge inconvenience for me! The atmosphere, pool, rooms were very clean and the employees were friendly! But room service was no good at all, no one picks up the service calls, I had to keep walking to the front desk for all services! My internet was down, I needed to watch my favorite shows on my phone! The toilet kept getting plugged-up!! Since I was wine tasting I did not drive, I have a bad knee and needed to keep walking to the front desk! The best experiences were the people I met there, Tracy at the South Coast Winery for wine tasking and quality shuttle service from Mr. Douglas who was very inspiring! He was 80 years old and jumped on and out of the shuttle for amazing door service! He even helped me with my bags to the room! I would say the room service, internet and toilet really needs to match the quality of service Mr. Douglas joyfully provides! He should be managing the services! Last but not least, I checked my bank account and had double the charges! This was not a pleasant trip! It tinned my vacation.. 😡

This was our second stay here but the first time in summer. It was so nice to come back to the pool and cool off after visiting a few wineries. Staff was so friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was large and stocked with toiletries. A must stay for those who want to relax.

This property was stunning. The vineyard views outside your room and patio cannot be beat. The pool was lovely and heated. It was great parking right outside our bungalow, and the convienance to other wineries was great. However, it’s clear this property is understaffed. Every time we called the front desk ( allegedly staffed 24-7), it went unanswered. Twice we went to the office in person and there was a sign on the door saying be right back. Also, the poolside bar and cafe was only open for about 4 hours a day from 11:30-4, despite hours online saying it opened at 9. When I asked why, they said it was because they were delivering breakfast. I think hiring a few more staff would solve these problems. Overall I’d still recommend this property, but service and communication could have been better.

Amazing place to reconnect with your loved one. Complimentary bottle of wine and great view of the vineyards. We had to switch rooms because of a malfunction in the shower but staff was quick and upgraded us and no hazle. Friendly staff.👍

This was my first time staying here. The location was lovely and gorgeous views that overlooked the vineyards and breathtaking sunrise. The staff was courteous (Marsi) and took great care of us. I was impressed with our overall experience. I will certainly stay here again.

First time in Temecula so not an expert. The hotel seemed perfectly situated. Ponte and Europa down the street, Crumbl, CVS a little further. Swinging by the petting zoo a couple of turns away was a nice way to end the trip. Nothing in walking distance but less than 10 minutes to a few different things to do.

My wife and I loved our weekend at Carter Estates. It is quiet and tranquil. You feel like you are out in the country away from everything, but you are only minutes from Old Temecula and many other wineries. A great place for a quiet and relaxing weekend getaway.

We consider the Carter Estate Winery and Resort to be a hidden diamond. They only have 42 suites, and all have a vineyard view. Each suite has a large soaking tub and a roomy walk-in shower. There are limited food options but, you will receive a small complimentary breakfast of pastries, fruit, and coffee. There is also an on-site grill that serves food from 11 - 3 pm. And if you like champagne, the Carter wine tasting room has some of the finest available. All in all, I think you will find that your stay at Carter will only enhance your Temecula visit.

I was pleasantly surprised to get a free complimentary breakfast with the room rate. I chose a parfait and an assortment of muffins and bread for myself and my guest. I was completely disappointed when I opened the parfait and there was literally ONE strawberry sliced in half. The other parfait only had a half of a strawberry! Such cheap way to cut costs. It really took away the value of the breakfast and the stay in general. Please include a small assortment of berries on the parfaits!

The property was great , quiet, private,beautiful scenery and the staff was exceptional.The food options are limited during the week , no room service either. There is a free shuttle to go across the street to sister property.Food at the pool was excellant. The matresses and pillows were not good and need an upgrade . We had a very nice time

The room was beautiful with a lovely patio overlooking the vineyards. There is a secure gated entry and parking next to the rooms. The staff was efficient and friendly. The pool service was stellar and we had a pleasant time sipping drinks on the patio next to the pool. Breakfast was a little cold when we got it, but that was really the only thing that wasn't top-notch. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay overall. This is also one of our favorite wineries for the tasting room and selection of wines.
