Great location, large room given the location. Friendly and helpful staff. Everyone from the front desk, to the cleaning, to the bell service, were very helpful. Nugget ice machine in the basement, along with regular ice machine. Also, cold filtered water bottle filler in the gym and next to ice machine. On 30th between 6th and 7th, so very easy to get anywhere uptown or downtown.

The room we stayed in was newly remodeled and very clean and comfortable. For NY it was decently sized. The lobby was undergoing renovation when we were there. There’s a nice seating area outside. Staff were friendly and helpful. The neighborhood I’d describe more as Penn Station than Chelsea, but location worked for us- very walkable, felt pretty safe as there are always a lot of people on the streets. Would definitely stay there again!

Very clean & roomy compared to most hotels in NYC. Gym & washer/dryer facility is a plus. Great central location to popular tourist sutes: MSG, Times Square, K-town. Plenty of eateries & nice restaurants locally as well.

I love that you needed a key to get into the hotel after 9pm. I love that there was an area for snacks and breakfast each morning. I love that it had a laundry facility but I hated having to go to the lobby for coins and laundry detergent. Those things should be provided in the facility to avoid the walking and let the customers pay using their card. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel was kept clean. The rooms were also clean. If we were to stay in New York for the holidays again we would definitely stay at the Marriott Courtyard Chelsea.

Expedia says the hotel has onsite parking but it doesn’t. We parked temporarily at the guest loading spot, but before we barely finished checking in, a big truck delivering laundry I think, stopped inches behind our car and we were asked to leave. Since the truck was too close to our car, it was difficult for us to get out. Then the bell man shouted at us again for not leaving yet. I showed him how close the truck was to our car and with the construction cone in front of us, we couldn’t get out. Then he realized that and removed the cone. Also, later we learned the hotel should provide guests bottled water at check in, but we were not. I saw the guests checking in in front of us asking for water and were given two bottled water, we did not ask for it because we had water at the time. When I asked for water the next day, the front desk told me with a cold face that I could get water at the vending machine. Eventually they gave us water when I told them we were not given water at check in. I will have to say from checking in until we leave, I did not see any staff with a smile. When asking questions on the phone, the staff was also speaking in a cold tune. It just felt like the entire staff at the hotel were unhappy. This is the longest review I have ever written because this was one of worst hotel experience for us mainly caused by the services received, not by the condition of the hotel.

The property is very clean and safe. Easy to walk to Macy's and Empire State building. Our room had a leak under the bed. The entire rug was soaking wet the entire stay even though we reported it to the front desk and they said they would fix the issue. It was a pain to literally hop over the rug to get into or out of bed. If you didn't your socks would be soaking wet.

The location was a 5 minute walk from Penn Station. It was across from a police building so the street felt very safe. The room was small but standard for a one bed room. Everything was very clean. They could have used some softer lighting in the room. All the lights were super bright. You could slightly hear the neighbors and hall but we didn't really have any night issues with that. Overall a really nice place.

This hotel was in the perfect location for us, with everything we wanted/needed to see within walking distance or easy subway access. We were initially worried about transportation back to EWR very early -- before trains were running -- but the staff scheduled a car pickup for us, even walking us to the corner to meet it when the road was unexpectedly closed. Very good service and friendly staff!

My wife and I were so impressed. When the housekeepers were in the halls and saw us going to our room, they would ask if we needed anything and insist they give us new towels and linens. They were so very kind and wanted to make sure we had everything we wanted. The location was excellent! Everything was very safe and accommodating. Loved the bar next-door as well. Having Starbucks downstairs was a bonus!

The location is very beneficial for the metro and to reach a lot of tourist attractions. Building efficiency is low but overall satisfaction is good If you get a North Facing room be aware that NYPD traffic detachment is right there and Sirens occur often throughout the night. Finally, the walls to the room are fairly thin and not very sound resistant so it was not uncommon to hear other guests throughout the night. The location is wonderful and staff friendly, just a bit noisy.

The staff was very welcoming as soon as we walked on the door, the woman greeted us and the check in was fast and easy, even got two bottles of water for free. The beds were comfy, the pillows were ok could of been alittle firmer, the TV was good it said good afternoon Lori on the screen, the bathrooms were ok the water for the shower takes about a minute to get warm, the toilet stays loud for a minute after flush. Loved that it was just a block away from Penn station, wish they had a free breakfast, they had a mini Starbucks but was way more expensive than the regular one down the street.. If I ever see a concert at Madison square garden I will stay here. Definitely would recommend this hotel.
