Positive aspects: Large spacious room Excellent location, on the same street as most of the bars and restaurants, but at the end, so not noisy at all. 10 minute walk to main square cathedral area. Breakfast was good. The usual offering for hotel breakfasts. Mini-fridge I'm the room. The property is going to be closed at the beginning of 2027 to be remodeled and become part of the Marriott hotel group, so it may not matter, but for those traveling yet this year, there are some aspects the hotel could improve: Towels that are thin, fraying, and need to be retired. There's mildew in the shower. Daily cleaning isn't enough; it needs a good power wash. Heated towel rack in the bathroom was dusty. I imagine the rates will go up after the renovation, so take advantage while you can.

Another great stay at Hotel Academia in Zagreb. The location is excellent, within walking distance of the city center while still being in a quiet and pleasant area. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient, making the entire experience hassle-free. This was just a one-night stay, but as always, Hotel Academia delivered exactly what we were looking for: comfort, convenience, and great service. It has become our preferred hotel whenever we visit Zagreb, and we will definitely continue to book it for future trips. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and reliable stay in Zagreb.
