Friendly & helpful staff and the hotel had beautiful views of the lake and nearby mountain. We opted for the breakfast which included fresh baked bread, and the downstairs area was relaxing to read. The local thermal springs were also walking distance. Since we were there end of May, I would recommend a sleeping mask for the outdoor light because our room didn’t have blackout curtains and ear plugs because you could hear noise from the road.

Clean and nice modern room with comfortable beds. Only issue was it was loud with heavy doors slamming at nights. Otherwise nice desk staff and was able to get laundry done(for a fee), which was nice. Lots to do in the area.

Clean facilities, the area we were in seems recently renovated. Mostly friendly staff. But room is very small. I am a small person and was cramped in the room and especially in the bathroom - I wondered how taller people could sit on the toilet. Also, no TV, fridge, or kettle in room though coffee, tea, water available in dining room. Overall given the size and minimal amenities, I thought value for the price is on lower side.

This was an average property, but convenient along our travels. Room was very small. Beds were not comfortable. No washcloths were given (I understand it is a European thing, but other hotels did have them in the rooms). No hair dryer in room - had to ask at the desk if you want one. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but did down the street at the Babylon Bistro which was really good.

The room was clean and neat but small. One side of the hotel faces the highway but it was quiet at night. There was no TV, only 1 chair, no bedside tables. The bathroom was very nice. There is a very nice lounge area for the guests with a great coffee machine as well as games.

Easy check-in, all details(room code and instructions) sent days before arrival. It was a very easy check-in, never actually talked to any hotel employee during our stay. The room itself was a bit tight, but I think we were expecting that to a certain degree. Hotel and area were very clean and well-kept. No complaints, would definitely stay here again, if we were doing a similar trip and checking out points of interest in the Golden Circle area again.

Vi bodde her i 3 netter. Det kunne nesten virke som de ikke var vant med at folk blir over mer enn 2 netter. Rommet ble ikke rengjort, søppel ble aldri tømt og håndklær var i manko. Vi fikk utdelt 1 håndhånkle som skulle vare for 3 personer gjennom hele oppholdet. Søppel måtte vi gå ut med selv. Rommet (3 mannsrom) var grei størrelse, men ingen ventilasjon eller varme på bad. Ingen nattbord og bare en liten knaggrekke og noen kleshengere til disposisjon til klærne. Kaffe og te var tilgjengelig i fellesområdet og var inkludert. De ansatte var hyggelig.

Very clean and spacious room, even though I booked a single room. Bathroom was lovely, lovely shower, and local Icelandic shower gel which smells incredible! Great coffee/tea machine that you can help yourself to 24/7, great for those times when you need to be awake at 2am for an Aurora run. Lovely views of Laugarvatn lake and beautiful mountains on the other side. Great location in the golden circle close to Friðheimar tomato farm, Þingvellir national park, Geysir and Brúarfoss to name a few. Few minutes walk to the lovely Laugarvatn Fontana geothermal baths. Would stay again.

Small place,empty box room that smelled of disinfectant. Curtains didnt close all the way and they were not blackout curtains. There are only 3 hours of darkness now and the parking lot is 2 feet from the window! There is nothing in the room but the beds and tiny nightstand. A couple of hangers in a tiny rod. Glad we had only booked 1 night here!

Sadly did not enjoy my stay here. My room located on the top floor. Room small but perfect for one night stay, bathroom fully renovated and good. My issue was that you can hear everything in the neighbours and the hallway and I was unlucky with my neighbours so I slept badly it felt like I was with 10 people in room Good location and price, but unfortunately I won't stay there again

We liked the layout of our room. It had sliding doors for more privacy for the double bed. Two single beds were in the main space with a desk and coat rack. The dining area overlooks the lake. Staff were friendly.

We loved the location for the Golden Circle. Great breakfast buffet and dinner. Walking distance from Laugarvatn Geothermal Pool (highly recommended). The staff was great. The only issue was ventilation. The weather in Iceland during the week was in the 70's!!! Poor ventilation in room. One small window to open, very warm/stuffy. We has a very small room, no closet or dresser. Only one rack of hooks. They could add more hooks in room and more hooks in bathroom for towels. The bathroom was small, no space for personal items. The glass shower was not sealed properly and water poured out of the bottom. Had to get more towels to mop up floor. No television-which wasn't an issue but sometimes nice to watch some TV after long day of exploring area. We went to the Laugarvatn Geothermal baths on the second day-highly recommended. Ended up showering there. Also went to restaurant Linden on 2nd night after geothermal pools. Great meal.

We arrived around 6:30 pm. The young man in reception worked out our problem of our prior room request being cancelled. We received tips on where to go for local swimming, and made it back for a most delicious dinner. The sleep was very comfortable. Morning dining room gals were gracious and we got coffee to go and hit the road. Would stay here again.

Ver few convenient food options. Laundry machines were very expensive and did not properly dry clothes. Staff did have fans available which helped with room heat as there is no AC and windows dont open very wide.

The staff made our stay special. Filip always smiled and did his work very efficiently and professionally while making us feel welcomed and at home. Joseph also did a great job and was helpful and friendly. Best interactive staff we encountered in Iceland.

Perfect location between Pingvellir National Park and Skokkur Geyser and Golfoss Waterfalls. Very nice dinner at the hotel restaurant and wonderful pizza just down the road. Don’t miss the Fontana Thermal Hot Springs! We were there the last day before closing for remodeling so we would love to return after reopening.

The property is quiet, comfortable, and convenient. We enjoyed being close to the lake, to several dining options, and the the main road. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Supérette et station essence juste à côté et restaurant à proximité. La Laugarvatn Fontana est à 450m et vous y trouverez des piscines d'eau chaudes et sauna. La chambre double est composé de deux lits avec table de nuit, un bureau et deux fauteils avec table basse. Une grande douche à l'Italienne, WC et lavabo. Gel douche et savon pour les mains compris. Lits mous et rebondissants. Il manquerait juste une baignore mais sinon la chambre était parfaite.

Located close to numerous of the tourist spots in Golden circle. The outlook is stunning, great size rooms and amenities excellent quality. Staff were friendly and accommodating - highly recommend and would love to stay again.

What a wonderful little place to stay with a great view. The food was phenomenal. The Staff was incredibly friendly. The bed was the softest i have had in the past 2 weeks of travel. I would certainly return again. Thank you for a comfortable stay!

The breakfast was not included and cost 2,600 Krones, and there were not a variety of items. We had the Lamb Curry for dinner one night. It cost 4,600 Krones, and they served 3 pieces of lamb with curry over a scoop of rice. Certainly, it was over priced!

We liked the layout of our room. It had sliding doors for more privacy for the double bed. Two single beds were in the main space with a desk and coat rack. The dining area overlooks the lake. Staff were friendly.

First it was hard to get I to the lobby, as the door was locked and there was a key code. We could not get into the building for our room with the code, as they had assigned the wrong room. Inside we had to traverse stairs with all of our bags to get to our floor since there was no elevator. The bath sink was so small that water splashed onto the floor each time it was used. The shower flooded the floor since the shower curtain did not contain it. Just not impressed overall.
