The staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and quiet. Location is ideal if attending events at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg. There’s a skywalk from the nearby parking garage to the hotel. The only downside is the hotel should automatically include a parking pass if you have a vehicle. Parking cost us $40 for an overnight stay. The hotel’s parking pass is approx $20. If staying there, take the parking pass!

This hotel was very trendy, and honestly had one of the best showers/bathrooms, and gyms. There is a parking garage that is under surveillance and attached to the hotel via skywalk which was so convient and gave us a good peace of mind. There are a few food places around the hotel that are all delicious as well.

Pros: * The staff were very friendly and approachable. * The room was very clean, and overall had a nice atmosphere that matched expectations in regards to how it was marketed. * Excellent location and a quick drive to all places A few minor things that I think could have been better: * Wifi kept cutting out while watching Netflix * Showers don’t have shelving to put your own personal items onto such as body wash or shampoo. We placed our stuff on the shower floor. * No pool or hot tub * Purchasing snacks at the lobby is a little pricy

We found blood stains on our blankets and when we told them they came and changed them, then charged me a cleaning fee!! When I talked to the front desk the lady said there was nothing she could do and I’d have to wait till Monday to talk to a manager about it but would Not remove the charges.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a highly unpleasant experience. The washroom was filthy, with a lot of hair above the sink and even in the trash bin. The cleanliness standards were clearly lacking. Stepping out of the main lobby was another shock. There were numerous homeless people loitering around, and the area reeked of weed. To make matters worse, I encountered human feces on the sidewalk. This was absolutely unacceptable and left me deeply dissatisfied with my stay.

Centrally-located on Portage Avenue, just across from the Canada Life Centre (for Jets games, etc.). The neighbourhood is thus gritty, and locals told me not to roam northwards after dark. The rooms have a modern, minimalistic look and feel. Perhaps a bit too minimalistic, though: since I was staying for five nights, it would have been very useful to have a drawer or two for putting away clothing and other small items rather than having them sitting out in the open on a shelf.

Great location and clean, nicely appointed yet minimal suites. Awkward shower as the glazing means you can look into the shower from the main room…so, lacks privacy. Shower water only lukewarm which wasn’t great considering it was -26 degrees outside. The staff were exceptional and extremely helpful.

The bathroom is dysfunctional. No place in the shower to hold soap, cloths etc. The bathroom window to the room means that light streams into the sleeping area and disturbs the other guest. The saloon type door to the bathroom is impossible to close quietly. The dark bathroom floor shows every drop of water. All told, the triumph of form over function.

Everything inside the hotel was great, with one exception - the bathroom door (two doors that close together) did not meet when closed. There was an inch gap in the doors when closed that did not provide sound nor odor attenuation which is awkward when you are travelling with friends. A full door would have made this hotel excellent.

There were two false fire alarms that happened in the middle of the night our first eve there. We decided to find other accommodations. Staff was very friendly and did their best as it was out of their control. We’re were reimbursed.

Most of the check in staff were indifferent and mumbled instructions, it was difficult to understand. Staff at check were fine—and I appreciated the tea in the morning. The place was mostly clean but there was a musty, old smell mostly on the 17th floor—hallway. The pillows were mostly lumpy and uncomfortable. If the price was less than $300+ per night I probably would feel differently. Not worth the money for sure. The place is a little tired and needs a refresh. I write these reviews because Expedia reviews are “wonderful!” And rated the property a 9. I would rate it a 6.5-7 at most.

I did not like that when we checked into our hotel room, it had someone else's bags and luggage in it - you could clearly tell someone was already checked into the hotel room. Thankfully, they didn't see us walk into their room, but it wasn't very comfortable. We had skip the dishes ordered to the hotel lobby, and somehow the food the front desk handed to us was the completely wrong order!

Perfect location for a Jets game, a show at Burton Cummings Theatre, or just to hang out in downtown. Amazing restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful, spacious rooms and very safe. Definitely one of our favourite hotels in Winnipeg!

The property itself is wonderful! The staff has excellent customer service, it’s clean, and beautiful. It’s a good option for someone wanting to go to a game right across. The area unfortunately has a lot of homeless and we just didn’t feel very safe walking places.

The hotel is downtown and very convenient for us. We were able to walk to almost everything on our list ( we do like to walk and did about 10km a day). The staff were great and the hotel was safe and clean. Some of the features surprised us ( the shower stall is visible in the room although it has muted glass)

Beautiful hotel but location is slightly sketchy and you hear nothing but police and fire sirens at night. Nothing to do with the hotel just simply the location in Winnipeg. (This hotel is near the police station which is nice but also annoying due to constant noise).

The hotel was great for my short stay on business. Tim Hortons attached along with Brown Social House made it very convenient. The area just up the street from location is sketchy with people however have come to understand that is normal for Winnipeg. Would definitely stay here again next time I’m In town.

Wifi was absolutely horrible all weekend and made travelling with a child difficult. Friday when we checked in ti was being looked at my the IT department and was working ok by about 8pm but was spotty almost all weekend. I don't want ot sound like a Karen but this is a basic necessity for most people. I had to go find public wifi in order to do some work I had scheduled and it was very inconvenient. The only coffee shop for blocks being closed on weekends was also something we did not expect as we chose this hotel for what we though would be easy coffee and breakfast to go in the morning. Most likely wont be staying here again.

We did not get our requested wake up call! Got up with only 15 minutes to meet our requested taxi to the airport. Other than that, we were well pleased. Ate at The Merchant Kitchen and it was excellent. Thanks for the suggestion.
