DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Galveston Beach

The room was nice and clean, but the hotel only provided housekeeping service once every three days. No complimentary breakfast was included, and the breakfast buffet cost $22.00. Free coffee was available in the lobby area. Unfortunately, I would not stay at this hotel again, as there are many other hotels in the same price range with better reviews and amenities.

Overall wonderful trip

I had a disappointing stay at this hotel in Galveston. The room was not properly cleaned and felt constantly damp, which made the overall experience quite uncomfortable. There was also a strong musty smell—similar to what you often find in a basement—which unfortunately lingered in my clothes even after I left. I actually had to wash everything when I got home because of the odor. The breakfast itself was acceptable, but the service left a lot to be desired. The staff were not particularly friendly and made several mistakes despite very simple orders. Overall, the hotel staff did not come across as welcoming or attentive, which added to the negative experience. I would not choose to stay here again.
