Terrible condition of the hotel, wall paints are peeling off, bath is disgusting with a lot of molds. Elevator system is so confusing it’s like walking into a maze. Building needs renovation. But has to say the staff are great,, from the guards at the door to the rest!

Schon bei unserer frühen Ankunft 2 Stunden vor check-in-Zeit stellte uns das freundliche Personal ein schönes Zimmer zur Verfügung und so konnten wir uns vom langen Flug erholen. Das Frühstück war lecker und der Swimming Pool ermöglichte im tropischen Manila eine erholsame Abkühlung. Fazit meines 5 jährigen Sohnes: Hier möchte ich bleiben! Wir kommen wieder! Absolute positiv experience! The friendly staff made an early check in possible so me had a good rest after a long flight. Breakfast was good, the swimming pool made a relaxing cooling possible. Over all, everything is good, close to small restaurants & convenience stores like 7/11. Good food and excellent employees.At least 1 km walk to MOA. Needs to improve on the following: Gym has old equipment or broken, shower is not well sealed & water is going towards the toilet area. Overall 4 1/2 star!

The hotel isnt in the best shape cosmetically, and it's a little confusing at first. But the staff is outstanding, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The facilities are great. The pool was well maintained, and the gym was adequate for a basic workout. The breakfast was delicious and they had a great variety of choices.

The hotel is located in a great location within close walking distance to the Mall of Asia. The hotel has a covered parking garage located behind the hotel which you have to access by driving around the block but, once there the security staff will assist you and register your guest parking. It’s a short walk to hotel elevator but, once inside the hotel it is rather confusing to find the front desk lobby due to lack of visible directions or signage. The hotels garage elevator does not go to the ground floor even though there is a “G” button inside the elevator and will automatically stop on the 2nd floor. Upon exiting we found another set of elevators but, they do not go to the lobby as well. A guest directed us to walk in the opposite direction towards a restaurant on the 2nd floor and from there to take the escalators down to the lobby. You will also need to take the same escalators up to the 2nd floor to take yet a different elevator to go up to your hotel wing. The hotel pool looked a bit stained so we opted to pass on swimming. The hotel’s gym is accessed by walking through the hotel’s restaurant which is strange as you walk by other guests who are eating. The gym was very disappointing as the few equipment they had was broken and the air conditioning was also broken. On a positive note, breakfast buffet was good with many choices including fresh fruit. The staff was friendly and helpful so hopefully the hotel will improve and address some of the issues.

Property overall is decent, the staff are well mannered and helpful - hospitable. Typical nature of Filipinos which is what I really enjoy. The hotel does need a bit of an upgrade, I used the gym, and it seemed like the aircon wasnt strong, especially being in such a hot and humid country I was sweating even when it was on.

Nice comfortable bed and spacious room. Walking distance to MOA Arena and MOA mall. Difficult to find the lift to the room as it'socated at 2nd floor. Car Parking is a bit troublesome as it's far from our room. Staff are friendly. Restaurant at 7th floor is good and is open until late night.

Real review! Hotel is outdate and infected with cockroaches.. Found cockroach in our first room, moved to another room and found cockroaches in there too. Spend hours fighting with the manager just to cancel the remainder of our stay and get a refund, had no issue paying for the two nights we had stayed!! DONT STAY HERE...

The staff was very courteous and friendly but the room I stayed was the executive suite but inside there are alot of cockroaches in the room and shower room. Also, the water in the shower needs more water and pressure for me to enjoy my shower time. I forgot to mention that my safebox in the room was broken and it took them a very long time to come and visit my room. I called them alot of time for follow. I gave 3 stars for the staff and my cleaning guy on the 6f but 2 stars for the hotel room. I expected more because its an executive suite.

The staff there is great and the food is good. The property needs major upgrades, wall paper pilling of the wall, room was hot also had roaches in my room an in the hall way. The area behind the hotel needs cleans it was nothing but trash could be the reason for roaches.

The room is noisy we ca hear the outside noise. There is a picture frame on the wall. We check it out where the noise is coming from.there is a hole on the wall they just covered it with plywood and covered it with picture frame. Also the bathroom shower the floor the water it gets stagnant its because the flooring is not even the toilet bowl it gets clog . First and last staying at this Hotel.

We had a 12 hour layover so we used this hotel to sleep and reset before our next flight at noon. Though it seemed like an older hotel, it was comfortable and clean with soft beds. Air-conditioning works wonderfully, leaving us nice and cool. Only issue was that our room walls and windows are so thin. The traffic noise was incredibly loud. We could easily hear other guests passing through the halls.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I think the breakfast left a lot to be desired. More lunch and dinner type foods than breakfast stuff. The biggest complaint I have is that the WiFi was horrible. It was unsecured and very slow and very unstable. If I knew I had to work during my stay, there would be no way that I could stay here.

The staff is nice They supposed to have a 3k php deposit which was not indicated in the reservation but since we will only stay for a night because of our 16hrs layover the front-desk waive the deposit. Really appreciate and im surely be back again if we have long layover … God Blessed🙏🙏🙏🙏

I booked a standard room but got upgraded to a suite at no charge. It’s a very nice hotel. This is my second time staying at the Golden Phoenix Hotel in Manila. I’m looking forward to staying again.

I like: friendly staff from security guards, receptionist to housekeepers, huge bedrooms, nice bathroom, walking distance to MOA I don’t like: none no complaints except I wanted to reserve again from 11/27-12/01 but the price went up to $79 a day instead of $53 a day

This was our first trip to Manila. We’re weren’t familiar with hotels in the city. I was recommended to stay near the Mall of Asia. We reserved 3 rooms for 4 nights. 2 out 3 rooms walls papers were pilling off from the walls and there were molds in parts of the room. Hotel is no smoking but someone or some people were smoking. We could definitely smelled the cigarette smoke in the hallways; 2nd floor had unpleasant smell all the time. If you’re budget minded and want to be close to the Mall of Asia, I guess the hotel will be sufficient. When we were checking out they had me wait to receive our room deposits until someone physical checked all rooms. I don’t plan to go back there.

The food for breakfast used to be good. I was not impressed this time. Also the staff at the restaurant (7th floor) are very inconsiderate. I was with a senior citizen and PWD, and they gave us a table that is far from the buffet area and it was very tight. I was extremely disappointed and not satisfied at all

The Hotel is quite modern, With in walking distance to Mall of Asia. Lots of food options. Safe area. Room was very spacious. Shower was not hot (luke warm). Big issue is the breakfast. I have travelled to lots of places in Philippines and the world and this would have to be the worst service ata breakfast buffet I have ever experienced. When we arrived the room was full but the 4 staff for 200 people were busy cleaning tables. They then didn't do any basics - no plates for cereal for 5 minutes, no milk, no spoons for 10 minutes, no coffee cups any where for 20 minutes, no glasses for juice for 20 minutes (then they just took juice away), no forks for food - i used a spoon and I saw one person go to reception and get a plastic fork, no eggs and the list goes on. They were at least 5 staff short. No one was checking if the items had run out and when they were told they took ages to get any. I feel sorry for the staff but it was so poor I concidered giving the Hortel a 1 which would be unfair as it isn't a bad hotel.
