Stayed 2 nights

I booked a 2 night stay for my 68th Birthday. I was offered a room in the 17th floor which was recently opened, fir an extra $10.00 per night, I took it of course, which also allowed me am early check in. The elevator was clean, however upon entering the room I immediately noticed dust bunnies and crumbs of some sort on the floor just under the bench and drawers. As a person who owns/operate a thriving cleaning service, I let it slide and began cleaning and sanitizing with the products I brought with me: that's a ritual for me when traveling. An hour or solater that I called the front desk to inquire where the ice machine was located. I was told on the 11th Floor. That didn't sit well, considering the amount I paid for the room. I advised that will not be an option during my stay. They offered to bring up a bucket of ice. I agreed. This same evening- 8/13-my guest and started playing dominoes and noticed there was no pen/paper in the room. I called front desk again to inquire about test and more ice. This time I was told the ice machine is in the 9th floor- in other words, go get it yourself- i semi- snapped advising, it's there duty to supply guest with their needs within reason. Ultimately, I had to go the front desk. They changed my room to floor with an ice machine, a room with paper and pen! My last night there, 8/14, I was presented with a delicious slice of Cheesecake Birthday gesture, which was nice! Overall, wanted to give 5*'s, but issues got in the way.

This was a wonderful stay . We will stay here from now on when traveling through town. The mall was connected with lots of restaurants and stores to choose from. We felt very safe and there is a parking garage / floor for the Hyatt guests only . The hotel is also dog friendly with certain stipulations which is a plus for me traveling with my dog. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean!
