La Quinta by Wyndham College Station South

This property is close to restaurants, grocery options. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Treadmill track was ripped, so one was unusable. Breakfast was very good. Rooms and main social area were very clean.

Everything was great. Only complaint is the pool is extremely cold!

The room was nice and big and the bed and pillows were so comfortable! The carpet in lobby/breakfast area was really stained in many areas and needed either a good carpet cleaning or to be replaced. There were places that needed some upkeep or Renovation as seen in photo. It was a nice stay and parking was easy.

The hotel was great, the check in person was brand new (her second day), she forgot to tell us a few things but it wasn’t a big deal. She didn’t tell us where the elevators were, breakfast hours, or check out time (easy enough to figure out ourselves). In the middle of the night my son got sick with food poisoning and ended up getting sick ALL over the carpet near the bed several times. The front desk got us extra towels and was very compassionate. We went out as soon as stores opened in the morning and cleaned the carpets that he was sick on piled everything dirty into the tub. The housekeeper was very understandable and compassionate. We will stay here again on our next trip to see our niece, the only negative we had about the hotel is that the pool was cold and there was no spa. We’re hoping the pool will be warmer next time. PS- Breakfast was great which was a nice bonus after a night of zero sleep caring for my son.

The elevator was broken on the worst weekend possible. We had to help my 80 year old mother who has a really bad foot get to the 4th floor by STAIRS.

The staff was great and the first floor clean, but the pool needed cleaned, debris in it and the 2nd floor smelled very musty and carpets were dirty down the hallways. Quiet facility overall and nice stay.

one of the elevators was service. NOT WORTH THE MONY. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGINE

The mini fridge only was somewhat cool and not cold even after turning it to max. The treadmills in the gym were both unusable. One has been broke for many months as we stayed here last June, and the other one has a ripped belt. Very frustrating.

Romm was not the cleanest. Stayed 5 nights and room was never cleaned. Even asked the front desk twice to have room cleaned and it was never done. Elevator was also down for 2 nights of our stay

Decent hotel but unfortunately 1st impressions last and ours wasn't a good one. The cleaning staff need to pay more attention to details. The light switches in the bathroom and frond door had what looked like dry blood on them, and there was gum lying on the floor behind the bathroom door. Didn't give me an easy feeling that the room had actually been cleaned properly.

The check-in was quick upon arrival. As soon as the elevator doors opened to our floor hall, there was a strong chemical smell; less so in the actual room, but still unpleasant. The cleanliness in the room was not thorough. There was a roach crawling on the wall behind the t.v. and hair in the bathtub. In the morning, the lobby dining area was empty. My family and I reluctantly visited the buffet area, and to our surprise it was clean and well-stocked with many breakfast options (both hot/cold). We self-served scrambled eggs, bacon and prepated TX style waffles. We had orange, cranberry and apple juice from the dispenser. The coffee station in the lobby offered a variety of items, the brewed cofee was especially good. The lady attending to the breakfast area was very friendly and attentive.

This was the state in which our room was in when we got to our hotel. Which means they obviously don’t clean or check the rooms before new guests arrive. I asked for a refund and they said they don’t do refunds. I said I wouldn’t be staying here ever. So waiting to hear back on refund

Hotel lobby, staff, breakfast was all great. Our room on the other hand, not so much. Shower and sink would not drain quick enough so was standing in a pool of water and needed to be quick or it would spill over. Shower curtain also is not long enough so when getting out of shower the floor was super wet which caused us to use all the towels provided. Also lots and lots of tiny ants everywhere in restroom and 1 dead roach. Bed was very comfortable though but even saw a few ants on night stands

The hotel is well kept, rooms were clean, restroom was clean. You can tell there is some wear on the hotel it is well maintained.

Hall’s dirty. Stained and unvaccummed carpets. Paint coming off walls in shower. Overall dirty Room not cleaned or even fresh towels given.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. We did, however, hear noises from the pipes whenever water was running from other rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hallways to the rooms were didn't have AC and were quite warm and muggy. We had a heavy walker staying in the room above us who was up at 3 is the morning. The location was good and staff friendly. Check in was very quick.

The air conditioner kept the room at 73 degrees. If you need to sleep cooler than that I would suggest bringing a fan.

Good for a quick night but try to get top floor as the floors are light and you can hear those above you. The check in staff was very nice.

Great location if you are doing something related to the A&M campus. The beds are hard. Shower pressure is awesome. Hairdryer only blew cold air. TV didn't work on day of check out.

The front desk lady was amazing and the kindest hotel staff member i have ever met. I have traveled all around the world but i have never experienced service that great

The gentleman working the front desk checked us in but didn’t bother to give us instructions re: location of elevators or other info re: hotel. Seemed preoccupied with what he was listening to as he had his earbuds in.

Sheets are in awful condition, and our second night we had no hot water. Staff was not helpful. With all of the other nice and new hotels in college station I would definitely not recommend this one -

Convenient and front desk clerk was rude

I booked my stay at midnight for that day. Drove to the hotel to check in and was told the booking was not active until the afternoon. The hotel was not full. I asked if anything could be done and I was told they would cancel the stay I booked and I could rebook at the desk. The person at the front desk quoted a cost considerably higher than the rate I booked. Also since the booking was for the same day they would not be able to refund me or offer any discounts. Never was talking to a manager mentioned. It was a take it or leave it scenario according to the person at the desk. La Quinta isn’t a $300 a night kind of place. I walked at 1:00 am and went to another hotel. Something certainly COULD have been done but wasn’t. Never staying at a La Quinta again. On a side note the hotel right next door where I went was very run down and cost basically the same. Skip that one too.

Perfect for what we needed! In town for our sons Baseball Tournament…..games were pushed back Sunday, ask for a late check out and the Customers Rep at the Front Desk didnt hesitate to extend our check to 1pm. Will def stay again when we are back in College Station for Baseball!

Cheyanne at the front desk was extremely helpful when the system showed I had two reservations. She remained positive and friendly even though she had serval people needing her attention.

Where to begin. Price for rooms was more than when I booked it by at least $200 or more. Man I spoke with at the horse told me that was because I booked through Hotel.com. Price I was originally quoted was under $200 per night. Yesterday I got a bill for $672. Next, breakfast was never filled. Pans empty, waffle batter empty. Juice empty. Both mornings. Dogs. Yes, dogs, barked the entire time. I reported it to staff 4 times. They never came to hear it. They told me no dogs were in the hotel. They were wrong. More than one dog was in a room across the hall from us. I love dogs, I have 6 dogs and a cat. But I boarded them for the trip. These people did not and had no respect for other guests. Staff did not care. Water. Bottles for sale empty both days. Manager could and should have remedied that immediately. Nope. At check out I spoke with a young lady at the desk who was on a person call on her cell phone as I stood at the desk almost 7 minutes before she placed her phone down — did not hang it up - but appeared flustered that I was interrupting her to speak with a manager and to get a receipt. When I saw the receipt I asked about the pricing. And for a manager. Was told there was no manager there and nobody in charge. I would have to call on a weekday. I held out my card keys and she told me just to toss them in a bucket. Called the hotel this morning to ask for the manager. The young man who answered was just as rude. He told me there was no manager.

Felt very safe. Easy access to freeway. Staff very friendly and helpful

Check in took forever. Reservation was made through Expedia. Front counter could not figure out that payment was made through Expedia even after being shown how much I paid from my phone with the confirmation number. She had to call someone to talk her through so that I could be checked in. Despite the issue with checking in. The bed I had in my room was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Hotel and my room was clean and the staff was pleasant.

The property was conveniently located near the campus, making trips quick and easy, while also being in an ideal spot for dining options.

The property was very easy to find and super close to the university and all the various restaurants. The front desk staff were very welcoming when we arrived and just thought my cat was beautiful (which she is IMHO). Our room was spotless and close to the elevator just like we like it. The hot buffet breakfast was delicious and filling the lobby smelled great. We felt very safe parking there as the parking lot was well lit. Every staff person we encountered was very nice and helpful. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic And the towels were not at all rough or scratchy. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioner worked fantastic. The next time we come back to College Station we will definitely stay here.

The Hotel was close to our destination, rooms were clean, the only thing that we experience was our breakfast, eggs were cold, and bacon not crispy.

The exterior of this hotel is 5-star, but the interior is a 4-star It’s fairly clean but shows wear. Restrooms and sheets felt clean. Carpet needs to be cleaned. Breakfast is a little slight. Overall is a 3.5.

Hotel needs renovation - our 4th floor room was rough and ridden hard. Shower was disgusting, hair and grime and the shower didn’t work. Pillows were stained. Wall behind bed had a gross stain. Clerk was surly and less than hospitable Made reservation month ahead and no indication that our Dec 30 overnight would not include breakfast. Fortunately the coffee was decent but CAUTION the lids do not fit the cups. Not worth the 130$. Do not recommend.

Overall the hotel was ok. The rooms had a musty smell. Breakfast was very disappointing to say the least. We stayed for four nights. Three of the mornings they ran out of breakfast completely. On the other days there was very little to choose from and what was there wasn’t very good. Staff was great!
