Cheap, unspectacular, very near the town centre. Parking is a lottery - if there a space you can park there for £5 per night otherwise you'll have to find yourself an alternative.

Nice clean cheap accommodation about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Wolverhampton. The onsite car park is only a fiver for 24 hours. On a busy road, so if you get a room next to the road, then there is lots of traffic noise, unfortunately. Apart from that, the hotel is lovely

Communal carpets were heavily stained (?blood ?coffee ?poo), and the reception staff at check in were MISERABLE....as if they hate their jobs and customers are an inconvenience, not even a smidgen of a smile on arrival. Aside from that I have no complaints, bed comfortable enough, hot water in the shower, loo roll was replenished and bins were emptied.

No baggage storage. Seems ridiculous for a hotel to not offer it especially with all the space they have. Very inflexible. Caused a lot of stress if you are traveling and have tickets to a football match.

Basic accommodation with a good location for transport links and to local amenities. Hotel could do with some upgrades and some TLC. Door handles were broken on internal doors around the hotel. Some fixtures and fittings in need of upgrade or repair, as well as some lights in the room. Hotel seemed secure, although issue with room keys being reset on a daily basis caused inconvenience, having to get them reprogrammed. Staff pleasant, despite having issues with being checked in incorrectly. Lift sounded and felt like it could break down at any minute. Car parking not adequate for the size of the hotel. More spaces required, as limited parking in the local area, especially if paying for parking and there not being enough room to park on site, on the busier days. Overall it was adequate for what was needed, however some improvements are required.

Although the hotel was easy to find, the carpark wasn't. Check in was easy. Car park fees were reasonable. Lift available to all floors. Small bar but reasonable prices. Bar open til 3am, which was good as the last few hotels i have stayed in closed at 11 so no night cap. Room was small but clean and everything worked as it should. Only 1 spare socket which was on the other side of the room from the bed. 10am check out is a bit early, late check out is available for an extra £10. Staff friendly and helpful. Didnt have breakfast but it looked like a standard buffet. Would stay again.

A simple hotel clean spacious room, however I was surprised to be charged £5 for the parking, admittedly it's for 24 hours, but I was there only for the night! As for the restaurant I paid £6.50 for a hamburger with a slice of tomato, a leaf of lettuce and cheese on a bun that was really tough. As the hotel is close to major shops I would advise to go there for eating.

Booked for 2 nights with parking. Van broken into on the first night and tool chest stolen. Police informed. Redwings Reception wouldn't let me look at their CCTV. I also booked in error for 2 nights next week but no refund offered. I will never stay at this hotel again.

What was unique about the room was the shock to see the state of the mattress that was provided under mattress protector used to hide this horror in room 101. The room stank on entry which prompted the mattress check which looked like it had been found in a skip with many large areas of blood & urine stains.After bringing this to the attention of reception staff, showing an image of the mattress an alternative room was offered. On entry this room also stank, the mattress was checked and as suspected this mattress didnt require a protective cover as there were only a few stains & after flipping the mattress the other side was better.The toilet seats in both rooms were so loose they were unsafe and so required tightening. Noise levels in the hotel are worse than average in Lower Ground level 02 room & the room above which appeared from outside to be a staff utilised room , well, at 4am furniture was being dragged accross the floor. As the room is right next to tiny car park entrance, all the drunken guests loudly returning so not much sleep was gained. The staff are clearly doing their best, working in an environment that is akin to a sinking ship ..(think Titanic and the stoic musicians who carried on playing to calm the hysterical passengers ) Also the Management, moreover the Manager who refused to use any discretion whatsoever in my case as I have multiple disabilities & selected 1 adult instead of 2 for a 2 person occupancy room & was expected to pay twice for same room!

Cleanliness of room and hotel was good, conveniently within walking distance of town centre, nearby free parking, friendly accommodating staff...

Arrived and got into room and there was black mould all around the window. This was in room 1, ground floor. Staff did not really take much of an interest and found someone was allocated that room after us. Did get moved straight away, but new room was noisy and may as well not have a window, felt we'd been put there for complaining about the mould. Have stayed previously, and had issues before (no towels, this time no pillows). Just needs a bit more care

Everything about this place is horrendous. The state of the rooms is truly shocking - holes in the wall with crumbling plaster, melted patches on the carpet and mould around the edges of, and mould in the corners of the bathroom floor too. The stale smell of damp hits you the moment you open the door. It remained on my clothes after I’d left. My room had dirty, wet, make-up smeared linen in it on my arrival. The road noise in my room is outrageous - not even earplugs stop it. The crockery in the room was filthy. The bedsheets felt as stiff as cardboard and smelt like stale cigarette smoke. The fabric chair was covered in stains and sticky patches, and looked like it has never been cleaned. That thing alone looks like it could give you an infection. The shower leaks all over the floor, is absolutely covered in limescale and has terrible water pressure. The electric heater in the room needs to be condemned - the smell that comes out of that thing is utterly toxic. I’d be amazed if it’s not a serious health hazard. With no viable heating options my room was freezing cold. I was stunned to see the breakfast options and, more importantly, people eating it. Mushrooms sitting in water, undercooked eggs, luminous tomatoes. The whole selection was utterly disgusting and looked highly unsanitary. And finally, the staff. I was met with rudeness on check-in and throughout my stay. Treating paying customers with distain is not a good luck

Pubic hair on the bed sheets. Awful smell in the room. Mould in the bathroom.

The floor had stains , the whole room was smelly, like someone has been smoking inside. The bathroom was stinking and the bath had brown stains on the floor. The bed was uncomfortable, very soft, we were both sinking in the middle. The staff was friendly and very formal.

My initial room was unacceptable. Upon entering, I found a dirty towel on the floor, a wet shower tray with hair in it, and a broken window. I immediately reported these issues to the front desk. The staff were helpful and moved me to a second room without question. However, this room presented an even greater problem: noise. Situated on the ground floor directly next to a traffic light junction, it was subjected to constant noise pollution throughout the night. Every loud vehicle and bass-driven stereo was audible, making it impossible to sleep. Furthermore, the room lacked basic privacy; opening the curtains in the morning revealed a direct view from the busy street, with no net curtains or sheers to shield the interior. While the staff were polite and responsive, the fundamental issues with the property's maintenance and soundproofing made for a very unpleasant experience. The overall atmosphere and lack of amenities reminded me more of a hostel than an established hotel. I cannot recommend this property to anyone seeking a peaceful, comfortable, or privte. stay.

Check in was quick and efficient and signs and clear room numbers made finding the way around the hotel easy. The room didn't smell too pleasant when I first arrived so I had to open the window to let some fresh air in. The carpet looked worn and had burn marks and stains on it and the white chair in the room was dirty looking. Despite the busy road outside, the room was reasonably quiet so I got a good nights sleep even though the mattress on the bed was far from great. The en-suite bathroom however was much better than the rest of the room. Clean with a great shower and quality towels. Great location with only a short walk to Wolverhampton city centre and a few minutes away from the football ground.

WiFi and tv didn’t work

Really needs an update as the rooms were very old/tired. Very noisy outside on the main road and the bed was so uncomfortable.

No sockets near the bed so make sure to bring an extention lead. This has been an issue for years and they will never fix it.

They MUST replace the terribly soft mattresses! I have two friends who hurt their back and cancelled their weekend activities in Wolverhampton!

The room and bed was very dated

I had a lovely stay overall, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. The room was spacious and comfortable, but I feel there are a couple of areas that could be improved to make future stays even better. The carpet in my room was a little worn and could benefit from being replaced, and the door to the corridor near my room was quite noisy at night, which caused some vibrations in the wall and bed. I was kindly offered another room, which I appreciated, though it did have a slight mould smell in the bathroom. The mattress in my room was also a bit dated, as I could feel the springs. That said, I truly appreciated the hospitality and would be happy to return, especially if these small updates are made.

Best thing about this hotel is its location, which made it perfectly placed for our requirements. Unfortunately it was unbearably hot at the time of our and with no air con and a knackered old fan borrowed from reception we could not wait to leave. All common areas were also unbearably hot, we left a single window in our room open,which understandably only opened a couple of inches and what little sleep we managed was interrupted in the early hours by the loud noise of traffic outside. Location ideal but otherwise not great. Would benefit greatly with air conditioning

Reasonable for a budget hotel. Mattress very sunken in the middle, and no mattress protector under the sheet. Toilet made a strange foghorn type sound after each flush, which was very loud. Room layout wasn't great. L shaped room with the TV on the wall so far from the bed I could hardly see it. No bedside table and no plug socket next to bed. Bathroom was good otherwise. Good sized mirror and shower had good power. Tea and coffee facility OK, but wooden sticks instead of teaspoons, which is less sustainable. I also brought my own coffee as I needed decaff, so spoons would have been much better. Car parking was OK, bit tricky getting into a diagonal space on a slope. Staff friendly and check in and out was easy. Hallways etc all clean. No major issues.

Mattress awful, springs knackered. Wherever I tried to settle I'd end up with my feet in the air. Single glazed window failed to keep the street noise out of the room. So a fail

Room was clean. Very dated more than dirty. Bath had old scale marks all over it. And the floor was grim. The pull out bed had hairs on the sheet. Ans wasnt very sturdy. Lady on reception on check in was lovely and cherful and helpful. Man later in the evening was rude. We Asked for an extra pillow ( as only 1 pillow each - family of 3) was just told no! No sorry or let me try help you. Just no!!! 0 customer service skills. However we only stayed for one night. Arrived 6pm and left at 4am. So it was ok for that, but wouldnt stay for longer. Excellent location for the football which is the reason for our stay. Few min walk to stadium. Parking on site and a reasonable amount of spaces - was easy to find and only £5 for 24°.

Room in need of updating front of house staff very helpful sort out my problem for a iron 10/10

Room was really clean. Staff were extremely helpful and polite and really look after you during your stay.

Reception staff really friendly and check in quick and painless. Room a good size and clean, along with adequate tea and coffee facilities. Unfortunately couldn't connect to the WiFi. Also, excellent location for walking into town. The big negative was the knackered mattress on the bed. You could feel every spring and we kept rolling into the middle during the night.

The duvets were extremely thin I have never seen a thinner duvet to say it was December. The reception and catering staff were lovely nothing was too much trouble. The head housekeeper though who all I can say she was a female with blonde hair as she refused to give me her name was extremely rude and unprofessional.She banged on our door at 10am to say we should have checked out already as checkout time was 10am when I explained we had spoken to reception and told them we needed a few more minutes they were fine with us.She exploded in anger and belittled the reception staff and said it wasn't their call it was hers as she was rte head housekeeper!! Apart from the altercation with her and the inadequate duvets we had a lovely time but she spoilt it completely and left us feeling far from refreshed .

The man working on reception at night… disgusting customer service. Refused to give us ice for a bottle of champagne my partner had bought for my birthday. Asked for a toilet roll. He eye rolled me. Refused to serve us a drink after we’d been to Monmore green dog track…even though it was only 10:30pm and it was supposed to be a 24 hour bar. Quite frankly I support hiring people with special needs. However they do need more training

Couldn’t fault the place. And was so cheap too. Staff was friendly and so helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them. We will be returning to this hotel.

Had a problem with the mattress, popped down to reception and the lady was so helpful, she apologised and moved us to another room. Our new room was great.

Great service at reception, excellent value for money and conveniently situated for whatever you’re doing in Wolverhampton!

Great location near town Unaware of car park charges when booking

Clean and tidy, comfortable bed, great staff. Decent shower. Bit hot in corridors but it was 30 degrees outside. 2 minute walk from City Centre or Molineux. Great price.

This former Travelodge was fine for my one night stay. The only drawback is that it is located at the junction of a four-way busy road junction. On a hot summer Saturday night with the window open, there was a lot of noise intrusion from the local 'petrol-heads' even at 4am! That said, that is probably not within the control of the establishment, and I would be happy to return on another occasion if I needed to stay in the area. Wolverhampton is very convenient for Birmingham by frequent public transport, and the accommodation was a cheaper alternative to staying in central Birmingham.

Broken bed no signal on tv in room channels wouldn't work complained and got moved to another room girl on the desk was very helpful tbf but the next room was the same with a tv half the size of the room i moved from that also dident really work n the bed felt like u was lying down vertical i actually left after about five hours n checked into another hotel cos all u want to do is relax watch tv be comfortable i was non of them things defo wasent worthy of the 73 pound it cost

Nice welcome from the reception who helped out giving us all the information and help for our stay. I had to spray the room with deodorant - we felt that previous occupant had smoked there! We had a good sleep but I would recommend that you void the breakfast - very disappointed by the quality. Staff were torn between reception and replenishing the breakfast items. There was no bread and croissants. Had to wait for more orange juice, bacon and then some more for scrambled eggs! Good location for the centre and would consider it again in future.

Football away day - very good location to the Molyneux stadium. A 10 min walk to town centre with a good choice of pubs to eat and have a drink. We loved the Hogshead - even had live music Friday night. And the breakfast was excellent and only £6.50. The hotel was cheap for drinks and the staff very friendly xx

Room was clean and plenty of space. When shower broke, we were instantly moved to a new room without fuss. It was uncomfortably warm on top floor, reception gave us a fan on second day which helped. Breakfast wasn’t great. No vegetarian alternative so had to pay £7 for cereal and toast. Plus stopped bringing food out by 9:15 despite saying serving until 10. Plenty of better breakfast options within walking distance though.

shower curtain was dirty at the bottom. Tap water pressure was very weak. Toilet dribbled continuously. No meal service at all during the stay! When time to leave , someone had blocked me in plus others by their parking, took a while to find the owner, but staff comment was that they had noticed before!!! Burt in the end found the culprit! Noisy with the road outside - better sound proofing would have helped.

We stayed for 2 days. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast on first day was fine. However breakfast on 2nd day was non existent. At 9am I and a few other people came for breakfast, they ran out of everything. By 9.35 only scrambled egg was topped up everything else still wasn't replenished. They apologised and said it's cooked fresh, I get this by why wait till everything has run out before restocking?I gave up and had a refund. Someone was waiting for veggie sausages , at 9.45 they topped it up and served the sausages. Bacon doesn't take 45 mins to cook, how fresh was it...was it still on the pig?????

Cheap, cheerful n clean. Ideal for a no frills stopover for a gig at The Halls, only 3 mins stroll away. Friendly staff. Plenty of parking spaces @ £5 a night. Breakfast £7. You get what you pay for, still good value. Unlimited small buffet style. Scrambled eggs, tinned mushrooms, beans, tinned tomatoes, sausages, hash browns. No bacon. Bread for toast, croissants, cereals, jams, apple/orange juice, coffee machine, assorted teas. Stayed before, will stay again. Great value. :)
