Stayed 2 nights

This is a clean hotel out of town (uber or drive for dinner or eat at the on-site restaurant) with helpful staff who genuinely seem to want to make your stay enjoyable. It is let down by some silly details that have a disproportionate effect on the experience. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms large, but the toilet is cramped in to an end making it awkward and there is a (ridiculous) frosted glass barrier between bathroom and bedroom which means turning the bathroom light on, illuminates the bedroom. The a/c is….. ok. You get a single bottle of water (tap water is safe, but still - for 2 nights? Why bother?). There’s a charge for parking even if you’ve prepaid for a room even though there’s little opportunity to stay there without a car. Then there’s the flags - these got under my skin more than they should have but here goes - 5 or 6 flags flying outside the entrance including the Croatian, European and SLHW and a couple of others. However, the ‘others’ were so tatty and worn they were pretty gross. They had been through one (or 5) too many storms and come out more frayed than a teenager’s jeans in a grunge trend. Guys, take ‘em down. If you want a clean, convenient driving hotel for a couple of days tops - this place is…. fine.

Overall a good experience. Odd that in late June the roof top bar was not open, nor the lower pool-side cafe (drinks only, no food). Both apparently open soon. Art restaurant is good, lovely terrace. Prices a little up but quality and service is very good. However, would suggest going into Šibenik as old town and food within, is excellent (and some lovely staff who are very welcoming). Great atmosphere too. Taxi boat is a nice idea but often away on other business so Uber works best. Easy pick up and 7/8 euros to riva. Lovely light rooms. We had view over marina (room 317) which we were very happy with, although from 5:45 each morning we could hear the drum of extractor fans in the kitchen above us as breakfast service began! Would stay again.

We were disappointed with this hotel seeing that it was a SLH. It had no atmosphere. It is very isolated with no local shops or restaurants to walk to, you have to Uber into town if you want to eat outside property. The room was very modern but had glass partition between bathroom and bedroom so the brightness from bath would light up bedroom. The Aircon needed two visits to fix. No mirror in bedroom so couldn’t apply makeup or check your clothes. One bottle of water provided to share for 2 days. Worse part was that both pools were outside the property, the nearest was not operational and this is June. The other one was a 300 meter walk up the hill by the spa. It had a very dangerous layout and not practical for kids or elderly, lots of high steps and edges that were hard to see.
