Séjour d’une nuit dans cette Guesthouse. Décevant pour le prix payé pour une nuit (174€), nous avons eu de bien meilleures Guesthouse pour moins cher. Assez bruyant : les chambres dans notre bâtiment sont mal isolées, on entend donc chaque personne entrer/sortir et parler. Le petit déjeuner n’est pas le même pour tout le monde en fonction de l’heure à laquelle vous arrivez. Ceux qui arrivent plus tôt ont moins de choses dans l’assiette que ceux arrivés 30 minutes plus tard. Le parking est vite plein selon l’heure à laquelle vous arrivez le soir. Points positifs : - lits confortables - jolie cascade à côté du bâtiment principal - une petite supérette (n’ouvre qu’à 10h le matin) et de quoi se restaurer si vous ne voulez pas manger au restaurant du Guesthouse (qui est cher).

Just off the highway. Lack of dining and kitchen facilities made it feel more like a motel than a guesthouse. But there was a free included breakfast in the morning. Good place for a one night or short stay.

The room was a good size, admittedly the set up in the en-suite was different. We had a lovely view and the bed was comfortable. We had a very enjoyable dinner in the restaurant, however the breakfast was a little basic (a plate with 2 slices of different bread, 2 slices of cheese, a hard boiled egg, a croissant, a boxed orange juice, a optional piece of ham, butter etc.), however there was unlimited coffee. Having compared the prices of this guesthouse with nearby hotels, it was a lot cheaper which might explain the basic breakfast.

Værelset var fint efter islandsk standard. Det var dog det dyreste enkeltværelse, jeg havde ud af 13 steder. Morgenmaden bestod af en færdiganrettet tallerken, og morgenmadsprodukter. Der var to restauranter i området. Gratis parkering på stedet.

There is no one available at Front desk before 4.00PM. Very inconvenient if guest arrives earlier. Their restaurant was closed because of Winter months. Very limited options for nearby dining.

Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad (gelber Anbau neben der Rezeption). Wasserkocher und Kaffepad Maschine verfügbar im Vorraum. Frühstück (Brot, Marmelade, Butter, Käse, Joghurt, Obst) war völlig in Ordnung, man konnte nachbestellen so viel man wollte. Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem super.

Weather was beautiful so we never used the spa. Great breakfast. We didn’t eat at the on-site restaurant for dinner because of cost but really thought about it. It had a great-looking tasting menu for the whole table, but we were tired and starving and chose another place in town.

A very well run guesthouse with lovely staff. Lovely large room with kettle and coffee pod machine in hall(bring own pods) Tea and coffee and creamer in room and a sink. Nice shower room downstairs with good hot shower and two separate loos…….all immaculately clean. Nice view of water from room. Excellent breakfast handed to you in restaurant in the morning. Bread ,cheese, cucumber, apple, pot of porridge and a croissant. Teas and coffee help yourself. Great restaurant on site which opens for food at 5.30pm. Best nights sleep so far. Excellent!

Das Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad war sauber, gross.Auf 6 Personen kamen 2 Toiletten und eine Dusche, völlig ausreichend. Es gab zudem kostenlosen Tee und kaffee. Die Umgebung ist super mit eigenem Wasserfall zum erwander. Nur eine Küche zum selbst kochen wäre noch wünschenswert gewesen.

The staff was kind. We were missing half of the towels and cloth. The garbage from the previous guest had not been emptied. A lot of people in the reviews complain about the breakfast. We liked it and it was more than enough. Still a good place to spot in that town. The location is good.

Spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure, curtains decent at blocking the light. Good breakfast, they have a prepared plate ready with lots of food. Horses outside our window when we woke was a nice surprise. Only thing was a strong smell in the bathroom, could not agree on whether it was the sulphur from the water or something bad from the floor drain. But couldn't smell it when the door was closed.

Nicht mein Fall. Es tut mir leid, das sagen zu müssen, denn das Personal war toll! Jedoch würde ich nicht wieder buchen, da ich mich einfach sehr unwohl gefühlt habe. Die Anlage war aufgebaut wie ein Trailer-Park. Und so waren auch die Zimmer ausgestattet. Für mich leider nicht ausreichend, aber wem das nichts ausmacht... Was mich richtig gestört hat, war der Gestank aus dem Abfluss der Dusche und das viel zu kleine Bad allgemein. Im Restaurant gibt es eine kleine Speiseauswahl. Es hat auch wirklich gut geschmeckt. Das Frühstück war ausreichend, aber nichts besonderes. Natürlich würde ich woanders NIEMALS so viel für so eine Unterkunft bezahlen, aber es ist nunmal der Süden Islands. Wer auf Komfort und Gemütlichkeit keinen Wert legt, kann hier buchen.

Was essentially a large caravan that had been converted into several small rooms. It was OK as a one night stay whilst passing through the area. The rooms are quite small and for the price charged I'd say not value for money considering other places we stayed in around the island. It was not a terrible stay, just very low budget feeling but with an inflated price.

Pros: Right next to Systrafoss. A nice hike up to the falls and amazing view from the top. Close to a really good restaurant: Kjarr Restaurant & Bar. Unique window door to the coast. Outside access. Breakfast provided, sparse but good for lunch takeaway. Cons: The thinest walls ever. Just respect your neighbors cause you can hear everything through the walls.

Very pricey hotel, location wise it is very perfect. Our room is huge since it's a triple room with a private bathroom. No toiletries available though so bring one for your own use. Breakfast is pre picked , with lesser variety and oftentimes we don't eat but it's their choice I was still full after.

The rooms are small and the bathroom was very small - with a sink smaller than a airline lavatory. I tried to wash my face in it, and could not, had to actually do it in the shower (which was the one nice thing about the bathroom). Not much ventilation - had to leave a large back window open which was wide enough from someone to stand up and reach in or crawl into the room if they wanted. For this area of the southern coast, you are limited in terms of rooms - so they charge what they can -but I did not feel like it was value for the money. I would not stay here again. I would spend the extra time to travel further east to the Vik area and find better lodging choices.

This was one of 8 hotels I booked for our Ring Road trip. I am confused that the rating on this hotel is as good as it is on Expedia; other travel sites seem to have lower ratings. It wasn't awful, but it was like sleeping at summer camp. The buildings were cheaply made and floors and walls projected every kind of noise that your neighbors might make. The 2 beds were pushed together against a corner, and there still was very little room to stand. The bathroom was maybe a meter wide. The toilet faced the door, and you had to walk around it to get to the shower. Breakfast was boxed oatmeal and a couple of pieces of fruit. I would have been OK with most of it, except the price was the same as at some of the best hotels we stayed at in Iceland. If summer-camp is the experience you're going for, this is the place....?

The room was big and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was a bit weak and the drain was draining very slowly. Breakfast was served at 8:00. It is simple. Each person gets one set of food. It is a good place. But the price was a bit high for what you get.

The building was very poorly built allowing a considerable amount of noise to pass from room to room and the lobby area. You could literally hear people in the next room going to the bathroom, snoring, talking, etc. The floor of our room was leaning downhill a noticeable amount.

The room was small with thin walls, but we had free wifi and breakfast. Breakfast isn't like American continental breakfast but I'm not gonna complain about it. We were late to arrive to check in due to flight delay, but they stayed opened for us, which I really appteciated.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious! They were even nice enough to pack our breakfast to go as we didn’t have time to sit! Would definitely stay again :)

Bed was horrible I couldn’t sleep at all because of bedsheets has lots of bubbles and I felt like bedbugs I was itching all night next day when I asked about different rooms and explained manager Is very rude seems like he doesn’t care at all and have attitude he was saying it’s like that always if want to leave I can but they don’t give me any refund please I never recommend this guesthouse to anyone

The room was small with thin walls, but we had free wifi and breakfast. Breakfast isn't like American continental breakfast but I'm not gonna complain about it. We were late to arrive to check in due to flight delay, but they stayed opened for us, which I really appteciated.

Das Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad war sauber, gross.Auf 6 Personen kamen 2 Toiletten und eine Dusche, völlig ausreichend. Es gab zudem kostenlosen Tee und kaffee. Die Umgebung ist super mit eigenem Wasserfall zum erwander. Nur eine Küche zum selbst kochen wäre noch wünschenswert gewesen.

This property was clean and the location was good. We found a hiking trail that led us to the top of a mountain with spectacular views! I was disappointed in the breakfast as it was not a buffet style. Rather it was set on a plate and you got whatever was on there. For the price I was expecting more options. I felt it was overpriced for the room compared to other places we stayed.

Séjour d’une nuit dans cette Guesthouse. Décevant pour le prix payé pour une nuit (174€), nous avons eu de bien meilleures Guesthouse pour moins cher. Assez bruyant : les chambres dans notre bâtiment sont mal isolées, on entend donc chaque personne entrer/sortir et parler. Le petit déjeuner n’est pas le même pour tout le monde en fonction de l’heure à laquelle vous arrivez. Ceux qui arrivent plus tôt ont moins de choses dans l’assiette que ceux arrivés 30 minutes plus tard. Le parking est vite plein selon l’heure à laquelle vous arrivez le soir. Points positifs : - lits confortables - jolie cascade à côté du bâtiment principal - une petite supérette (n’ouvre qu’à 10h le matin) et de quoi se restaurer si vous ne voulez pas manger au restaurant du Guesthouse (qui est cher).

Our reservation included breakfast. The breakfast was terrible -- it was prepacked and consisted of two slices of cheep bread, one slice of cheese, one slice of ham, and a small apple. The only good thing there was unlimited coffee. It was the worst breakfast during our 12-day trip in Iceland.

The room was a good size, admittedly the set up in the en-suite was different. We had a lovely view and the bed was comfortable. We had a very enjoyable dinner in the restaurant, however the breakfast was a little basic (a plate with 2 slices of different bread, 2 slices of cheese, a hard boiled egg, a croissant, a boxed orange juice, a optional piece of ham, butter etc.), however there was unlimited coffee. Having compared the prices of this guesthouse with nearby hotels, it was a lot cheaper which might explain the basic breakfast.

Weather was beautiful so we never used the spa. Great breakfast. We didn’t eat at the on-site restaurant for dinner because of cost but really thought about it. It had a great-looking tasting menu for the whole table, but we were tired and starving and chose another place in town.

Interesting... It's a guest house with small square footage, no kitchen amenities, but a conveniently attached restaurant with poor quality food. I really hope we had the worst room in the place, because it was laughable. The room tilted 5° and the toilet was literally in the middle of the bathroom. It's like they got together with a case of beer and tried to throw the building together. Stay elswhere if you have the opportunity.
