We stayed 17 nights at the Holiday Inn Express Mong Kok with my family of 2 adults and 3 children, booking interconnecting twin and queen rooms. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel has a laundry room on the 18th floor however with 3 children and the vast amount of laundry we needed doing it was more cost effective to use a local laundrette 5minutes walk down Canton street. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was served as set menus rather than a buffet, which was a bit unusual. However, the waiters and waitresses were lovely and accommodating, allowing us to order from the menu on days we planned to be out early instead of eating in the restaurant. The location was great for us to explore Kowloon, N.T and HK island since Yau Ma Tei MTR is only 7mins and Mong Kok MTR is 8mins walk away. East rail was 17mins walk. Ladies market, Temple street market were great for street food, souvenirs and doing the touristy things. Checkout was at 12:00 pm, and the hotel kindly allowed us to store our luggage until our Uber picked us up in the evening, which was very convenient. Overall, it was a lovely and comfortable stay with good service, ideal for families needing interconnecting rooms and great location.

This hotel is at a good location but could use some touch up. The carpet in my room was really old with stains on the floor. It was also quite dusty at wall corners. The wall paper flakes out. As business travelers, I was hoping for better lighting at the desk. Also, I am surprised to see no USB charging by bed side. The gym is poorly equipped, not indoor.

I enjoyed my 10 day stay in this property. The room was exactly what I had booked and breakfast was included. I found the hotel and reception staff very friendly and professional and enjoyed our conversations from time to time - they deserve 5 stars. Some constructive criticism however .......... would the management please take a look at the state of my bathroom. Not the leak which was reported, but the lack of deep cleaning in the bath/shower area. Areas around the top edge of the bath and to some walls are en-grained with years of dirt, its black, looks terrible and very un-hygenic. An occasional deep clean with a steamer and a small stiff nylon brush would solve this problem. Would I stay there again? Most definitely ......... the staff made my stay very welcoming.

This was our second stay at this hotel to split the travel between the UK and Australia. The hotel has been successfully refurbished and has an excellent appearance. We arrived before 10am expecting to have to leave our luggage and return at 2pm the nominal check in time. However Tommy, the receptionist told us our room was nearly ready and we could wait for what was only about 15 minutes. Great job Tommy! Our room was modern, very clean with an attached bathroom that was also modern and well equipped with bathroom toiletries and accessories. A great place to sleep after a long, tiring flight. The Hotel, situated on Dundas Street, 5 min walk from Nathan Road. The area has several modern shopping centres within easy walking around Yau Ma Tei and Jordan areas, as an alternative to Shim Sha Tsui. The A21 bus from the airport is ideal and stops at the Sino centre (stop 9) on Nathan Road very close to the junction with Dundas Street. Excellent service from hotel staff. Polite and helpful. Location is not too bad about 10 min walk to MTR Station. A lot of amenities nearby. Room is true to pictures and pretty spacious for hk standards. Just that the room smells very musty and stale.

Booked a night here in order to avoid a long airport wait for our connecting flight. The hotel was clean the beds comfortable and everything was with in walking distance. Wilson who checked us in was friendly & helpful, and gave us a great room and booked a taxi for us to the airport the following morning. Breakfast was average, choice of about 6 set options, wouldn’t say it was worth paying for if it hadn’t been included in the price but it was ok

Its location is excellent! You can walk to shopping area. If you want to take train, bus, cab, everything is there! Hotel staff were friendly and also helpful. Room was clean and had a good shower! The price was good, too. We definitely come back!!

Room had a musty smell as if it has not been lived in for a while, and stale air. Mattress was so hard that it was almost like a thin layer of sponge on a plank, I kid you not. Although to be fair I do not know if all rooms have this issue. Only toiletries provided are shower gel, shampoo etc - they stopped providing toothbrush/toothpaste and other amenities apparently due to some environment law. Breakfast provided but really, you are very much better off eating out since Hong Kong has no short of excellent food options.

This hotel is 8 minutes walk away from all the activities. It’s a bit far for us. The beds are very hard even for Asian’s standard. The pillows are so flat, they are non existent. All these made my stay very uncomfortable and will not return.

The staff wasn’t very friendly. No one except one staff member ever greeted us when we came or left the hotel. He was the one with the short curly hair style. Excellent service from hotel staff. Polite and helpful. Location is not too bad about 10 min walk to MTR Station. A lot of amenities nearby. Room is true to pictures and pretty spacious for hk standards. Just that the room smells very musty and stale.

Although the hotel is relatively old, the staff are exceptionally friendly. You can easily borrow an adapter plug from the counter. One day, upon returning, I found housekeeping still cleaning my room with the door open. They politely asked me to wait outside and confirmed my room card worked before allowing me back in. Their attention to security made me feel very safe during my stay. I would definitely book with this hotel group again.

Booked a night here in order to avoid a long airport wait for our connecting flight. The hotel was clean the beds comfortable and everything was with in walking distance. Wilson who checked us in was friendly & helpful, and gave us a great room and booked a taxi for us to the airport the following morning. Breakfast was average, choice of about 6 set options, wouldn’t say it was worth paying for if it hadn’t been included in the price but it was ok

This was our second stay at this hotel to split the travel between the UK and Australia. The hotel has been successfully refurbished and has an excellent appearance. We arrived before 10am expecting to have to leave our luggage and return at 2pm the nominal check in time. However Tommy, the receptionist told us our room was nearly ready and we could wait for what was only about 15 minutes. Great job Tommy! Our room was modern, very clean with an attached bathroom that was also modern and well equipped with bathroom toiletries and accessories. A great place to sleep after a long, tiring flight. The Hotel, situated on Dundas Street, 5 min walk from Nathan Road. The area has several modern shopping centres within easy walking around Yau Ma Tei and Jordan areas, as an alternative to Shim Sha Tsui. The A21 bus from the airport is ideal and stops at the Sino centre (stop 9) on Nathan Road very close to the junction with Dundas Street. Even if your stay is longer than ours, the metro and buses provide very easy access to Hong Kong favourites

We stayed 17 nights at the Holiday Inn Express Mong Kok with my family of 2 adults and 3 children, booking interconnecting twin and queen rooms. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel has a laundry room on the 18th floor however with 3 children and the vast amount of laundry we needed doing it was more cost effective to use a local laundrette 5minutes walk down Canton street. Ladies market, Temple street market were great for street food, souvenirs and doing the touristy things. Airport link is convenient, although the transfer at Central takes a bit of walking - on the flat in a spacious concourse Breakfast was basic, with a handful of set choices, but adequate and convenient. Staff were courteous, polite and helpful.

The location of the hotel is really bad, far from MTR about 10-15mins walk to the nearest station and ladies market, far end of mongkok, deserted area with no food n shops around. Only good thing is hotel is clean and quite new.

even though the breakfast wasn't elaborate, it was adequate. From the breakfast area to the front desk, the folks were really nice and courteous. always very helpful and informative. The only thing was walking to the subway along was very local. traffic was crazy. Took almost 15 mins to walk to Nathan Street, which is the main street to get to both subway or buses. on a hot day, it can be a long and sweaty walk. once you get to Nathan road, lots of food and shopping options. I was told that later at night, is near a red light district, so we didn't stay out too late, cause the walking back can be a bit uncomfortable.
