EVEN Hotel New York - Times Square South by IHG

City view king room is nice, comfortable bed, spacious shower. Everything was clean and newer. The staff was friendly and helpful. Bar, gym, ping pong table room. AC in room worked great, mini fridge, exercise bands in room, windows do open a bit. Location is excellent for MSG or Hammerstein Ballroom concert. The hotel does not have parking but there is a garage across the street, its very expensive to park. Overall I will stay here again.

Really cozy place to spend a night or two. They have a small gym and exercise equipment room. They also have a game area with ping pong ball and fooseball.

Excellent location close to the subway and Penn Station. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were clean, surprisingly spacious and modern. They even came with a yoga mat and foam roller!! The gym had a Peloton bike and a lot more equipment than I could find in my initial image search.

Room size great for midtown, great to have workout vids and equipment in room, love the quiet bar and lounge area. Staff are amazingly kind and friendly - also love small extras like fruit water, etc.

The games room was a nice addition.

Liked food and beverages available, food and entertainment close by. Did not like that most ice and water dispensers did not work.

A very reasonable priced NYC hotel. Superb location for all Manhattan attractions and places to eat. Friendly and hardworking staff. Great facilities in both in the rooms (spacious shower room, complimentary tea/coffee, work out equipment, complimentary laundry) and great public areas (well equipped gym, games room, breakfast area, bar etc.) couldn’t ask for more. A highly recommended hotel and I would definitely stay again.

This hotel is centrally located near Penn Station and subway stations. Rooms are a pretty good size for NYC, and everything seemed to be newly renovated, and very clean. All staff that I encountered were friendly and kind.

Start of the stay was ok until we saw a huge cockroach on the wall in the evening. An inch long cockroach. Receptionists that day were not helpful since they were scared of the big bug themself. Next day manager offered to move rooms and said this happens since it’s summer. Don’t think it is ok for clean hotel with 4 start rating, to have cockroaches? Very disappointed as this is a big pest control issue. Thank you Hotel for your great pride in maintaining a clean. After your deep clean we have room full of dust, old Fanta bottles under bed, cramps, etc all pic attached No one even bother to deep clean All just talk on emails and empty promises Even escalation don’t work as whole business including owners IHG don’t really care

General comments:- Room is clean, great housekeeping. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. As a four stars, it lacked some basics, i.e., slippers, shower cap, etc. walls are not soundproof at all. Breakfast was ok, you order from menu, lots of inconsistencies! One day you can have your coffee topped up the next day you couldn’t. Not enough tables with people walking away and they had one staff taking orders, clearing tables, services, etc! Consider tables reconfiguration and maybe have another staff at peak time and allow guests to self serve coffee/tea. On our last day we had wanted to grab breakfast then do last minute shopping, instead we waited for over an hour for our breakfasts. Manager joined to help out but got flustered! We can hear the mgr and serving staff angry words! Location is good but lots of construction work in the area though- April 2025. The carpet was dirty and stained on our floor, 15th floor. Water/ice machine, didn’t work on our floor, tried a few other floors too- water was cloudy so gave up.

Had a fantastic stay at EVEN Hotel New York – Times Square South! The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with great fitness amenities right inside. Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Perfect location, close to everything but still peaceful at night. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay. The hotel was nice and very clean. It was easy and walkable access to mostly everything… ext Times Square, Broadway, Hudson Yards. I would definitely recommend it.

Hotel well located and really convenient to visit NY City. Despite being central the hotel is quiet. Hotel staff is really helpful and friendly. Room was clean but carpet of our floor landing area needed refreshing. Food option of breakfast was limited and not good value for money. Better to have breakfast outside.

Loved location and cleanliness of the property. Front desk staff courteous and professional. Appreciated key access for elevator use. Would definitely stay again. One caution, our room did not have a closet, limited space/cubby for hanging clothes and no iron in the room.

The HVAC in the room was broken and the room was 85 degrees. It was extremely uncomfortable.

Clean room and hotel with modern feel. Just two blocks from Penn Station so an easy walk with luggage to the hotel. In the heart of midtown so great food take out choices, quick walk to Times Square or to the subway to go anywhere in the City. It was a typical NYC hotel size. It featured exercise equipment with this giant yoga ball which I had no interest in so with the small room it took up space. No closet but an Ikea type wardrobe but you couldn't hang anything full size like a dress or long coat. The drawers were completely useless since they were the depth of a kitchen silverware drawer. I found it odd that so much effort and money was put into exercise equipment such as yoga ball, mat, and resistance bands but IHG was cheap with the dresser and had only one small hook in the entire hotel room which was in the bathroom. It was fine for a solo traveler but if you had more than one person you had no place for a towel, coat, dress, purse, etc...Also the room had a ton of cool lighting. Light switches everywhere with no labels and other lighting was motion sensored. Also a remote with no usage explanation with activated colored lighting. The colored lighting was a horror show not sure if it was remote, motion, or switch activated (or all of the above) but one night I woke out of a dead sleep to flashing colored lights and thought "is there a dance party in my room?" Some other great amenities: mini fridge, hairdryer not attached to the wall, plenty of towels, walk in shower

Our room was comfortable and looked out into an interior courtyard, so it was wonderfully quiet!

Nice and clean property, but the area, though close to Times Square, shops, restaurants and transport, was very noisy and there were lot‘s of homeless people. The family bedroom for four people is small and there is very little space to store clothes.

It was a pretty good hotel but the only complaint I have is that our room had a door way entry with the next door neighbors inside the room. Due to this you were able to hear a lot of what your next door neighbors were doing.

Pretty nice hotel. A few things prevented me from giving it a higher rating The room isnt sound proof as advertised. You could hear the elevator dinging, people walking in the hallway and thwir conversations. Could also hear some noise from the next room The workout bar in the room wasn't aligned properly and led into the wall. Pretty annoying There's a mini fridge in the room, but no microwave, so there was no point in having leftovers

The rooms were clean and staff friendly. Went to dining area, crumbs on tables, menu limited. With limited menu still, certain food not available (shrimp and burgers). Espresso machine out of service, no hot water/ coffee. Improve in the food and you may get us to come back for a short visit. I wouldn’t stay any longer than a couple days given limited dining. Full size beds versus queen size made for squished sleeping.

One of the few places to get a room with two beds, also appreciate they held my room until my 2am train arrived (three other places have given my room away or stuck me with one queen bed, instead). Quiet, convenient, clean, and comfortable.

Great stay! Comfy bed, clean rooms, great shower, great service, and close to everything (subway, Penn Station, midtown, Ktown, High Line, Starbucks). Quiet outside. Only noise was the hallway in the morning, but only since our room was close to the elevator. Only thing missing would be free breakfast. We would still stay here again!

I stayed here in back to back weeks and it was the best stay. Highly recommend. The staff is incredible. Rooms incredibly clean. And just the perfect location to get around.

The property itself was good. The common areas are tired and the carpet on the 3rd floor is dirty. It needs to be updated. The actual rooms are clean and a decent size for New York. I didn't find the staff overly friendly. We arrived early for our reservation and asked if there were any rooms available. There were not. We were told to come back for 1:00 p.m. which we did however rooms were still not available but told to either stay around the hotel and if we did go out they would text us. We decided to stay in hopes that we would get a room before 3:00 p.m. After waiting over an hour I finally went to the desk and asked if a room is available since I did not hear from the staff and the person at the front indicated a room was ready....I wasn't sure why I wasn't called as indicated. I would not recommend this location for people with families. The hotel faces the back of a bigger hotel. The view is dumpsters and garbage. The hotel is also close to a susbstance abuse recovery clinic as important as they may be needed, it's good to know the site is very close to the hotel. As for location, it's great. Close to the subway, police station, Times Square, Empire State Building and other mid town attractions

Bed was amazingly comfortable- staff were all great but the breakfast staff were understaffed. The 2 people that were working the breakfast area were too busy to check back re: need refills, anything else. Not their fault-just really busy. Otherwise great property and would definitely recommend staying here.

Wonderful staff. Quiet and neat. 1/2 block from subway. Two blocks from Amtrak. 2 blocks from Madison Square Garden. Easy walk to Times Square and Broadway plays.

The staff were all incredible. The hotel was clean and in a great location for what we wanted to do.

I left a luggage compartment in the room we stayed in. When I called to ask about it, housekeeping supervisor said nothing was tagged or turned in to the lost and found. I know for sure it was left because I went from the hotel to our cruise ship. Housekeeping just didn’t turn it in and decided to keep my valuable VS undergarments. Who would want someone else’s undergarments? I don’t know

We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel. It is located next to a central subway which made getting around the city sooo easy. We had an issue on our last night with the blackout curtain and the staff were quick to rectify the situation and change our rooms. Will definitely be back.

Exceptional service, friendly staff who always greet you with a smile and always ready to help. Location is very convenient, just down the street from 34-Penn station exit. The cleaning staff also do an amazing job at keeping your room clean, while the rooms are spacious and well-designed. Definitely would stay here again.

We had a great stay! Close to Madison Square Garden. Probably 15 min walk to Time Square. You see everything on the way there. City is busy…we went for a Kentucky basketball game. Go CATS! Will definitely go back if I’m in town ever again.

Great location, close to the action and easy to get to many subway lines and regionals at Penn station, walk to Hudson Yard, lots of food options around, but on a quieter street. Very friendly and helpful staff. Newish, clean, and efficient room.

10/10. Honestly a hidden gem. Recently returned from stay here and it is perfect spot for exploring NYC. Subway literally 3 mins walk to your left. MSG is 3 mins walk away & walking distance of Broadway & Times Square.

Great staff. Hotel overall was brilliant. Location was close to everything major sights. Area was very badly lit, and at times had some unsavoury characters.

Noisy traffic. Metro station very close

My greatest critique is minimal at best. Coffee selection in the room and coffee condiments in restaurant were sparse, although milk was available upon request. Excellent service made up for the lack.

A great hotel within walking distance of broadway and Times Square. There is also a subway stop only 2 mins away. The hotel was clean, rooms in great condition, the hotel was quiet for sleeping and the breakfast was really high quality ( we liked the steak and egg bowl and breakfast sandwich’s with fruit) I’d definitely stay here again.

It was a lovely stay. The only thing I would mention is the way the showers are set up. It makes the floor soaking wet and doesn’t have a lot of water pressure. And the dining area downstairs to only have one waitress or waiter catering to a very large group along with others coming in is a bit unfair to the staff and to the customers. But it was a great stay nevertheless. Thank you so much for hosting us. Hoping to come again sometime.

My sister and I had a great stay! The staff was really friendly and accommodating. It was walkable to everywhere that we needed to be. Hotel was clean as well. We bought the breakfast package during our stay which was not worth it in my opinion because the options are limited and the quality of the food wasn’t good. We we only used it once and then decided to get breakfast else where for the remainder of our stay.

Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Xavi was very friendly and served awesomely.

Overall this is a decent hotel if you're needing a place to stay for a couple nights that's within walking distance to the center of Times Square. Our room was clean and cozy. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful in providing directions and arranging early morning airport transportation. The hotel restaurant provides a fair range of options - and healthy ones - from breakfast through to dinner, so even though we weren't impressed with dining options in the nearby area, the hotel restaurant didn't let us down. The restaurant closes at 10pm and there's no room service - good to know in advance if you'll be getting in late.

The hotel is very good, however the restaurant inside the hotel was not very good.there are just a few options and most of them were out of stock! In the day I arrived the street was closed but the front desk didn’t support so much on the problem. Beside that, the hotel is clean and good amenities in the room (soap, shampoo, conditioner, coffee machine). Surrounding is a normal NYC, dirty and noise. The only problem there was a construction on the street that people were peeing making it disgusting to pass through.

All mentioned was next to perfect. I just wasn’t a fan of the food-breakfast.
