Easy living at Carson. Mineral pool was clean, plenty of clean towels, shower & private spots to change. Plenty of room in the pool to move around and tip into that cold plunge, if you so dared.

The only reason it isn’t a 5 stars is the fact that you have to pay to use the hot spring in the resort and it’s not included in a regular rate room. The “therapy pool” is included, but the way to sit in the hot springs is in old tubs, by yourself and to pay to do so. Everything else was wonderful. The staff were great and the room was clean. No microwave though, which was strange but fine

The 'hot springs' pool was nice but we would have liked it to open earlier than 9 am. It's closed off so it wouldn't have been noisy to late sleepers but would have been nice to take a quick dip before continuing on our trip. Also, not having any breakfast was annoying. The only close option is to eat at the golf course. Would it really be a bid deal to offer up some pastries and cereal??

Misleading photos, place is beyond outdated, sheets and room were dirty and the staff left our door wide open after we requested house keeping. Blood on the lamp shade ….. just overall disgusting

The wife and I like to stay here after a week of fishing on the coast. We usually get one of suites with a tub on the deck. When we arrived, the room was not very clean, shower was broken and the hot tub was musky and hadnt been cleaned in awhile.

Property is nice and the room we stayed in was clean and the hot tob is amazing. There's only two things missing that I felt will be better if the resort has it. There's no microwave in the room and eventhough the resort offer free wifi, the connection is bad, that you can't even use your own phone data. So if you want peace and quiet with no interruption, this is the best place to relax and unwind.

I felt the property was nice with a great hot tub and cold pool, and my room would be rated average or a little better if they would have replaced the carpet. It was disgusting!! It was so bad I was careful to not put any of my clothes on or belongings on the floor. I could not believe they would rent it like that.

We got a simple clean room for a great price. The hotel staff was hit or miss. Almost everyone I dealt with were really kind and helpful. However, one lady acted like she didn't give a care about me. We didn't use the spa or pool. The bathrobes in the rooms were a nice touch. Wifi was pretty bad and my phone service was even worse. But overall a nice place to stay. I would come back.

Nice rooms, though I prefer to not be at the very end, as WiFi is very weak toward the South end of the property in the main, regular building. I wish there was ANY real food options right there aside from ice cream. The golf course restaurant up the road is nothing special. I wonder if Carson could get a food truck in there for busy weekends; I bet they'd do very well. The hot spring pool was nice, though the staff didn't keep towels stocked up. I know sometimes people (ugh, People) use too many towels, and staff has had to come out to remind people to be considerate and not greedy... .but they could still keep a better eye on towel levels in the pool area.

The property was very clean, quiet and easy to get around. The rooms are clean and quiet but definitely dated. I did not prefer the bed or the bathroom fixtures. The hot tub on the patio was already heated and very clean. This is a great property it just needs a few updates

This was a nice option for us. The hot tub worked well and was nice to have on the balcony. The TV didn’t have service other than a few antenna channels and it wasn’t a smart TV.

Literally the only thing I can even complain about, which was hard to do, is the fact you get 4-5 channels to watch on the TV when you try and unwind from the day. Not even a big complaint, was just weird

We had an enjoyable stay there. We got a king suite which was definitely worth it for a family of three - lots of room, kitchenette and hot tub on the deck. The furnishings are basic, but nice. Wifi a little slow. Everything was comfortable. We did not use the spa or pool. We had breakfast at the restaurant at the golf course which was quite nice.

Beautiful area around the resort had a great time in our private hot spring hot tub. Only down fall was being on the bottom floor with zero privacy. I would definitely stay again and request a room on 3rd floor.

Ive been here a few times, we enjoy the hot tub right outside the room. It would be so convenient and awesome to have a food cart right in the parking lot year round. Now something I don't like is that the bathrooms dont have an exhaust fan and if you go #2 it will stink up the entire room. This makes it a negative for the entire experience.

Stayed 2 nights to be able to explore the waterfalls on the gorge and a day trip to Mount Hood. Loved the access the hot therapy pool after a week of hiking! Rooms are a little dated but clean.

We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, I had to wait over 15 minutes in line just to check in, and the same long wait happened again at check-out. The most concerning issue was when someone entered our room with the wrong key while we were resting—an unacceptable security lapse. To make matters worse, our key stopped working, and instead of proactively updating it, we only found out when we couldn’t access our room. When we requested a late check-out due to the inconvenience, the front desk staff was dismissive and claimed the key issue only delayed us by 10-15 minutes, refusing our request with an attitude. Overall, the poor service, lack of accountability, and security issues made this a frustrating experience. I would not recommend this hotel.

We had a late flight out of Boston, didn’t get into Portland OR until 10:15 PM. By the time we picked up our luggage and got our car rental it was after 11PM. I had made several phone calls to Carson Hot Springs Resort prior to the trip, explain we would be a very late arrival (some time after 12PM). The resort said the wound email is a virtual key the evening of our stay because they do not have over night staff. We got to the resort around 12:15 AM. Bad WiFi prevented us from accessing our virtual key. We were stuck, no overnight staff to assist us. We found a poster inside a locked door that in very small writing said in case of emergency call this number. We called, woke up a very nice woman who looked up our room number (which we didn’t have, and talked us through opening the door to our reserved room. When we did open the door the roo was not made up. There were no linens n the bed, pillows w/o pillow cases were on the floor alone with a crumpled up bed spread. The bathroom was not cleaned, an empty roll of TP on the TP roller. Basically the room had been stripped and never made up. It was now after 1:00 AM. The woman we spoke to on the phone came in and found us another room. This whole mess didn’t get resolved until around 2:30 AM. We had a wedding breakfast to go to at later that morning. When I went to the front desk to officially register after a few hour of sleep. The staff were unapologetic about our early morning fiasco.

The staff here is always kind and helpful. Recently the property has been purchased and is in the process of being updated. This has really brought it to another level and is better every time we return. We stay here three or four times a year and are never disappointed 😊

I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The first room I was assigned had a noisy group in the room next door and the staff were quick to accommodate my request for another room, despite it being at the end of a shift change. I LOVE soaking in the tubs in the bath house and I experienced the staff there to be also very friendly and service-oriented..

The rooms are clean and beds were really comfortable. The Bath House is nice and clean as well. Attendant was friendly and attentive. It was nice and quiet. Very relaxing! The front desk lady was very rude at check in! Not sure why. Perhaps she had a bad day or is just a naturally grumpy person. Lobby is nice to sit with friends and enjoy the complimentary coffee or tea. Lots of variety of organic tea options. Beautiful area!

The bath house was amazing, it is a real 2 star hotel however. What was a real turnoff was upon check it we were told with some attitude that we should have called before booking via Expedia to check their pet friendly rooms since they were all sold out, not the case the the app. We were able to stay, but they charged another $100 holding fee and mentioned explicitly how they just replaced the carpet and if there was any evidence of a pet they would charge us. Not sure how that was going to work since clearly there was an animal… overall the bathhouse is why we went, that was great. The room, meh, the staff in the front desk, not good.

We did not stay at Carson Hot Springs, our reservation was mixed up and they did not have a pet friendly room available per our booking. The only accommodation they would give was a pet fee 3 times the amount of our room that was non-refundable. We had to continue to our next destination four hours away after driving for ten hours. The front desk people were not very caring, but at least the manager made sure we were refunded. We were berated for having booked through a third party.

A fun and quirky place with a variety of options for soaking in the mineral waters. The old bath house is a step back in time and quite amazing. Our room was clean and well equipped, with a small fridge. The golf course and club house are very close and a good option for breakfast. I’d also recommend Backwoods Brewing, a short drive, for dinner and beer. Excellent pizza.

I was looking for a hotel to stay overnight for work near Stevenson and White Salmon. It was just a little more expensive than the scary options but it offered a very comfortable stay in a nice hotel. It also had the some neat options related to the hot springs that I was not able to take advantage of (didn’t pack my swim trunks). The only downside is there are not a lot of options outside the hotel within walking distance (Stevenson is about 10 minutes away and there are a few options closer in Carson). Overall, as long as you plan for it, this is a fantastic hotel to stay at if you need to work or have fun in the Gorge.

There’s a lot of eateries within about 15 minutes, tons of easy adventures and beautiful views. The private hot tub was incredible. Extremely well taken care of. Highly recommend.

Nice stay in a low-key gorge town. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. Decor was a little dated but well maintained. Mineral pool was neat. The fire pit was a nice place to chill at night. This is a great base camp for your gorge adventures.

Pros: Great location in Carson, the appeal for us was the location being able to be so close to Gifford Pinchot and exploring the great outdoors! soaking mineral pool and cold plunge spa ammenities- great massage! Cons: soaking pool was closed the last two days we were there and that was one of the main reasons we booked this place ordered croissant breakfast sandwiches from the cafe and the croissant was soggy stairs! if you are on the 2nd floor, be prepared to put in some steps to get up to your room Overall good stay, just wish the soaking pool was available to use the entire time we stayed there.

Carson Mineral Springs is a favorite midway point for me, between Walla Walla and the Oregon Coast. The laid back atmosphere and therapeutic quality of the mineral springs - make it a perfect stop after hiking in the Gorge. Picturesque setting, excellent view rooms, new hotel wing with clean comfy rooms. :)

930 am pool 8 guests have but out so uncool. A resort? Even better no resturant by rooms instead one has Drive down the lane for $12 pancakes at the golf course. No walking trail from lodging to resteraunt… i passed but drove 1/2 mile to thedeli in Carson very nice.

The food at the Golf Resort was terrible. Way too much grease dripping off of the hamburger, and the omlette the next day. The Hotdog was cold. The food was expensive. $27 for the hamburger and fries and drink. I heard their sandwiches were good $$ I should of had one of those.

The Hot Springs were wonderful and the rooms and hot tub clean. The bath house and lobby area need to be remodel. But it seems the building is being remodeled in phases so hopefully next time I am there it will be finished. Food at the golf course was great.

Nice quiet place. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready in time and IT could usw a Renovation. We Had to Take the Car to get some Dinner because the Restaurant at the Resort closed at 4. But the setting itself ist wonderful and so quiet.

Our group stayed here in preparation for a hike. We had a wonderful dinner at Big River Grill in Stevenson and a few of us toik advantage of access to the very warm mineral pool that is included in the room cost. It was a nice relaxing way to prepare for sleep. The room had a mini-fridge and a coffee maker but no microwave. It was a good value for the relatively low price we each paid.
