It was like staying in a good B&B without the breakfast. Common areas well tended too and entire lodge was clean and welcoming. Easy check in and check out. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is little to nothing around the area, only mountains.

Easy check in. They provide an area served coffee and tea. Guest can boil hot water. There is a microwave and refrigerator for guests to put their food in. They also provide small packs of ice for guests to bring on the road. Nice and big tables for guests to sit down for breakfast. It’s like self serve restaurant. Location is amazing. Less than a mile to Mount Ellen. 3 miles to Shaws. Definitely come back

The shared spaces in this unique property were amazing. The "library" is amazing, I would imagine in the winter it would be a great place to warm up after a day of skiing. The game room looked like a great place to hang out in your vacation down time. Our room was fine, small(two twin beds). It did have a cute little bathroom.. The whole lodge was newly updated and clean. I would definately stay here again!

Amazingly cozy and comfortable stay. Lovely innkeepers and lots of space for the kids to relax and lounge in the evening. Common spaces for reading, eating, and board games was perfect for a weekend getaway.

Excellent place to stay for a ski trip near Sugarbush/ Mt Ellen. Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed it all! The innkeepers are so connected via text and make it so easy to get what you need. However they have almost everything you might need there for you. Bring your own food and use the kitchen refrigerator & dining area to use at your convenience Coffee and tea ready for you at 6:30 am and available any time day or night. Great places to just hang out with fireplace, books, games and TV

The Lodge was so convenient for skiing at either Mad River Glen or Sugarbush. It's so cozy and comfortable - the library with fireplace was a lovely place to unwind. We loved the game room, as well, and spent a few hours there playing shuffleboard and euchre and enjoying the company of other guests Loved the coffee bar and having a fridge to use. :) super comfy beds.

TV was not working properly, no housecleaning but they left an envelope asking for a tip, no one at reception, very small bathroom and we barely fit in the shower, it was so small, small hallway (not sure what would happen in case of a fire) no good lighting in the room we will not stay there again then the owners left a notice basically saying if you are hot open your windows. I thought it was obnoxious.

Everything great Room smells like someone was bad and smoked cigarettes in here, but otherwise awesome. Glad they didn’t try to cover it up with artificial air fresheners. That’d be worse.

The lodge and rooms were extremely clean, very comfortable and cozy, functional (small fridge, hooks/closet space, safe) and unique. The lodge is set up nicely for relaxation and recreation. Perhaps in the future the lawn/yard will be made more into a beautiful green space for the warmer months. Loved it ...and plan to return in the future.

The bathroom was an absolute joke, and was about what you can find in most RVs. At 5'3" I felt tall, so good luck to any taller women of fully grown men wanting to use it. With all of the other options in the area, we do not plan on returning.

Well I put this one on me. I should have done my homework a little better. The room we had was smaller than my college dorm room. The bathroom was tiny and the shower very tiny. The shower curtain liner was dirty and needs to be replaced. There was so much light coming into the room from the hallway it was liking trying to sleep in the middle of the day. It was also very noisy. The dehumidifier was loud. If my husband and I got two hours of sleep it was plenty. We were just thankful we had only booked for one night. We do not recommend this facility.

Excellent staff, especially Dana. Her recommendation for dinner was a real plus. Clean, quiet, and inviting room with nice hot shower and comfortable beds. Did not use TV or internet so no comment. Recommend they consider adding a straight chair to room 205.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 2 night. The innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. Helpful with tips about the area and the lodge and amenities. The room a Standard King albeit very clean was a bit small. Not a knock on this place as we loved our stay. Next time we would choose the Premium King room. Location was ideal. We hope to come back here next year. Highly recommend this lodge

Quick drive into town for restaurants and shopping. Quiet place. The rooms are small but the bed was comfortable and it was suitable for what we needed. If you're looking to hang out in your room, it will probably be a bit small for that but the common areas are really nice. We would absolutely stay again.

From the second the booking was made we could not have been happier. A PDF with details of everything you would need to know. I have a disability so was sent easy access instructions for the lodge. The room was fabilous. Clean, really well appointed with a great bathroom. Really comfy bed great pillows. This is not a huge room BUT has more than enough for a GREAT STAY Also as much coffee and tea as you could eish to drink! Want breakfast? Taje the advice of the Lodge and travel 7minutes to Toast and Eggs. You will be delighted!! Thank you so much

We had a King size bed. The bed and bedding was comfortable. Thr room was a nice soze and clean. The bathroom was a bit small, but clean. There is a lounge room with a fireplace which is very cozy. It is close to Mt. Lincoln and evan closer to Mt. Ellen.we would definitely stay there again.

Our car broke down as we pulled in to check in unfortunately. Check in was great and easy. The next day Stacey the Innkeeper gave us a ride to get parts to fix the car which was above and beyond. We were able to salvage the couple days skiing all because of the great help from the Inn. Great service is becoming a rarity unfortunately even at top star establishments. Staff was friendly and would stay again, Close to Sugarbush mountain. recommend!!!!

It clean and close to the mountain. They do not have staff at the hotel. It snowed one night and a plow truck did not arrive until 10am, making me late for the event that signed up (and paid for, the reason why I was there). No one at the hotel was able to leave. Other guest at the hotel shoveled the common area, no one from the hotel helped with the situation at all. Would not recommend for a winter stay if you have any sort of schedule.

We reserved the lodge last min on our drive up from Virginia, for two nights unfortunately we were delayed due to weather and traffic so I called the lodge to let them know we needed to stop and stay elsewhere and was told no worries at all be safe and will see you tomorrow, very friendly and supportive. The next day we continued our drive and finally arrived to the lodge around 7pm the 2nd night. We were exhausted and went straight to sleep. The next morning we checked out, later that day we see our charges were for two nights stay, never once was it mentioned that we would be charged for both nights. When I questioned the charge I was told in a very short response well we have a 30day cancellation policy. So I made a reservation 2days prior and never was the policy mentioned throughout our conversation so please be very careful when reserving at this lodge, things were very misleading😔

Our stay at the White Horse Lodge was one of the best we have ever experienced. We were greeted at the door by Dana who showed us to our rooms. There were two groups in our party, and we were originally going to be on separate floors. When she heard us say something about being family, she asked if we wanted to be on the same floor and we said yes if it was possible. She placed us in the Sugarbear room and the Snowflake room across the hall. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Dana made sure we had everything we could need and recommended the best eateries around. We also had the pleasure of meeting her husband, Michael, and their son, Bentley. I can't begin to express what an impressive family she has. I hope if you have the opportunity to stay at The White Horse Lodge that you get the chance to meet them. We can't thank them enough for the wonderful care they took in making our stay top notch. We were treated like family and will certainly recommend it to anyone we know staying in their area and will stay with them again.

Great stay at the White Horse Lodge. The owner wasn’t present but communicated via text effectively. 24/7 free coffee/tea, I definitely liked that. No breakfast included so be sure to bring some morning snacks to have with your coffee before heading for the slopes!

Easy check in and check out. Cleanliness was excellent. Room was not spacious, but the lodge areas are open and inviting, you spend a lot of time there. A quiet place to stay, centered to ski areas and Waitsfield. Very convenient.

I had a wonderful stay at the White Horse. It is a perfect location for skiing at Sugarbush. The room was super clean,quiet and very comfortable. I would recommend this lodge,and will plan to return on my next ski trip.

The Lodge was so convenient for skiing at either Mad River Glen or Sugarbush. It's so cozy and comfortable - the library with fireplace was a lovely place to unwind. We loved the game room, as well, and spent a few hours there playing shuffleboard and euchre and enjoying the company of other guests Loved the coffee bar and having a fridge to use. :) super comfy beds.

Easy check in. They provide an area served coffee and tea. Guest can boil hot water. There is a microwave and refrigerator for guests to put their food in. They also provide small packs of ice for guests to bring on the road. Nice and big tables for guests to sit down for breakfast. It’s like self serve restaurant. Location is amazing. Less than a mile to Mount Ellen. 3 miles to Shaws. Definitely come back

Staff - Stacey was wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating. Price and value for price - good Breakfast & vending - no breakfast, had to get coffee from kitchen, but was very good. Bed - comfortable Bathroom - small space Shower too small, pressure too low to wash long hair Ice machine - no. Had free tiny bags, had to pay for big ones Fridge - go to dining room Microwave - go to dining room Room features - basic - little counter space Light darkening - shade good, door sides bad, little items had lights on Noise reduction - none. Could hear everything in the hall. The floors creaked.

Really nice clean lodge.bed is really comfy. Nice facility with common room an a game room as well. No breakfast but Plenty of fresh coffee available in the morning. Dana the innkeeper is super nice and helpful. Lodge located in beautiful area of Vermont

We just needed a place to sleep, but found our room and bed very comfortable and nicely decorated. We appreciated the dining area, having a refrigerator to use, as well as microwave and hot coffee in the morning.

From the second the booking was made we could not have been happier. A PDF with details of everything you would need to know. I have a disability so was sent easy access instructions for the lodge. The room was fabilous. Clean, really well appointed with a great bathroom. Really comfy bed great pillows. This is not a huge room BUT has more than enough for a GREAT STAY Also as much coffee and tea as you could eish to drink! Want breakfast? Taje the advice of the Lodge and travel 7minutes to Toast and Eggs. You will be delighted!! Thank you so much

Great spot right near Sugarbush. Easy check in/ check out process. Cute lodge area with a fireplace. Happened to be passing the front desk just as they put out freshly baked cookies which was pretty clutch 👍

Owner was delightful, very helpful. There's lots of resources and shared rooms. There was a nice fire pit along the pond with lights and lots of chairs for a gathering. Everything was clean, and a nice and convenient spot.
