Travelodge by Wyndham Manhasset

1. No breakfast. 2. No elevator. 3.

Long wait to check in. No elevator. Door did not work. This is especially problematic as wife recently had knee surgery. How can expedia.com have such a place?

Hotel had no elevator. Always staircases filthy person at front desk not very helpful very old decor and needs upgrade. Will never stay there again and will not recommend it to anyone.

Shares a parking lot with a restaurant so parking is limited. The staff is very nice and quickly checked us in and out.

The property was unkept, old, outdated, patched up, cigarette burns in bedding, broken curtains, stinky carpets, no hot water after 10 am, no water bottles in room,” breakfast included”was only a coffee, rude front desk staff, noisy and overall horrible stay, boogers stuck in the walls.

The website said check in was at 11am and the guy at the counter gave me an attitude and raised his voice when I was talking to him calmly and showed him what the app said then he said I could come back at 1 and he should have a room for me and I said ok and I was walking away and he kept talking in a raised voice. The direct tv was not working for about 5 hrs and the rain wasn’t that bad outside. And we had to fight for parking bc the restaurant that’s right next to the hotel took all the parking spots. My girlfriend just had surgery that morning and I wanted a quiet place for her to sleep and you could hear everything going on in n the rooms next to us. There was only two pillows on a king size mattress and they were so thin, there was burn marks or stains on the rugs.

We had no problems. We needed a room for overnight so we could get to an early appointment the next morning. This is a very basic hotel from the lobby to the room. Very smple room. No food available or even within walking distance except for a Chinese restaurant next door. Nothing interesting near by. The room was very clean and staff was very polite. This seems to be a place to stay when you need to be nearby for a business meeting or to be near to the large hospital or many doctor offices. Had a lot of parking which was one of the reasons we chose it.

The hotel said the order breakfast… the only thing the had was toast coffe and tea and my blanket on my bed was dirty

No elevator, hallways were dirty and littered. Room appeared clean but bed was so high I (short, older woman) had trouble getting into bed. No extra pillows or blankets.

"OK" is an apt description. Room checked the boxes though there was only overhead lighting (nothing by the bed). No elevator for 3 floors of rooms. Value? At NYC standards, acceptable. My most other USA location, not.

Bed bugs, smelly

Our room was heavily perfumed with an air freshener to cover up the deep smell of BO in the pillows and bedding. It was disgusting.

The room was very clean and comfortable. We've stayed at Wyndam properties before and the beds are very comfortable. Bob at the front desk was the best! We arrived early and had a room ready for us. He was very pleasant to speak with and very accommodating. We had free coffee in the lobby each morning and were very happy with our stay. If you're in town for a Merchant Marine Academy function, I recommend this hotel.

Not clean. We found spiders and cockroach in the room.

This is the worst hotel I've ever patronized. Instead of a greeting, upon check-in I was wordlessly thrusted a form to fill out to list my name and other reservation information. Once I made it to my assigned room, I found an inescapable and pervasive odor that stuck to my clothing even the next day. The bed was lumpy and smelled strongly of "old people", and the pillows were yellowed and smelled even worse. The bed itself was made as if housekeeping had been through the room, but had no comforter or fitted sheet- leaving me just a fleece throw and the flat sheet over a bare mattress protector. When I pulled back the fleece blanket to climb into bed, I found it was pre-filled with countless prior occupants' body hair. I elected to sleep on top of the bed, using bath towels as blankets. To compensate I tried to turn the heat on, but the heater smelled intolerably strongly of burning hair and I had to turn it back off. The sink and counter area was still obviously smeared from use by prior occupants. The television worked and the shower was hot, so credit where credit is due. I'll harbor no machinations about the cleanliness of the shower, however.

The room smelled heavily of smoking. The sheets and blanket had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. There was no attendant who could take our luggage to the room. Not worth the price we paid.

The property is a mess. The appearance from the front is a mess. The exterior in the back has two dumpsters that smell absolutely horrible. So walking in and out of your room you smell nothing but hot, smelly garbage. The front desk couldnt find my reservation and even though they had my ID and my reservation number they kept trying to give me a reservation that didnt belong to me. When I went to the front desk to check out i had to knock on the counter cause the employee was passed out sleeping in the chair. Also, the hotel must have permanent customers cause walking to my room I crossed many rooms that had shoes and clothing sitting outside. Definitely will not revisit this location.

Short overnight stay. Front desk visit was smooth, efficient, and friendly. The condition of the facilities is outdated. The room was clean. The bed was hard, but not unbearable. Overall: Fine for an overnight stay in a pinch.

I wouldn't stay there again. Hauling bags up two flights of stairs was not a pleasure and the road noise from Northern Blvd was so loud it sounded like the window was open. That reception was behind glass should have been my first clue. The bathroom and bed were clean but I was glad I had shower shoes for the ancient carpeting. I won't procrastinate about making hotel reservations again.

This place is good for a quick, one nighter with zero frills. I found the cost a bit high for what was offered. Check-in was easy as was checkout. Walls are pretty thin.

Wishing the rooms were quieter, you can hear everything going on outside on the street. Other than that it was fine

functional. Poor internet

This is our go-to place when we visit our son in college. It has more amenities than many upscale places - coffeemaker, microwave and mini fridge. Very comfortable bed and great showers.

Room was small. I had to move the bed to get bathroom door to shut. Mini fridge was not cold, was not very clean, small tv, towels felt like sandpaper.

we checking around 10PM, the front desk stuff seems don't know what them doing the Visa card machine is not working, ask my ID 2 times. they make mistake . took me longer process to check in, other then that , fair price with the places

I liked everything about this place. It is convenient to everything. Friendly helpful staff. Front desk Roger is very pleasant and smile when he’s talking with you. Just lovely. The manager Bob is also very helpful and caring for the visitors. So my experience is wonderful. The staff make it happen.. Good people here. Please visit and enjoy the hospitality.with all the convenience. You will need. I highly recommend Travelodge.

While stocked in traffic i received a call from the hotel saying my CC declined. The man said that he was releasing the room, i explained that i was driving and was unable to review the payment info. He hanged up on me, i called and then he was having a side conversations and not paying attention to the call. 3rd call, same person picks up and then said he was going to hold the room till 7p. 4th call, new front desk person calls and tells me that he cancelled my room because I wasn't there yet. Mind you it was only 6p and continued to be stucked in traffic in Queens. This person (new shift) also hangs up the phone. 5th call, i explained that the 1st caller said the room was beige held till 7p. 2nd person said its the weekend and can't hold the room. 6th calls, tells me he's able to make me a new reservation and gives me a room with 2beds when the original hotels.com booking was a queen bed non smoking. Last call, said he found my online reservation, however hes not able to reinstate the booking and gives me a higher rate room. Very disappointed with the miscommunication, lack of costumer service and professionalism. Won't be returning to this property.

Front desk person who checked us in made a racial remark. Will never come back to this place.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Room was adequate for my needs. No hassles. If you need a clean, reasonably priced motel in the area, this is great.

I booked two rooms for our techs on a service call. I use Expedia so the company can pay for lodging and the guys can just check in when they arrive. I put two rooms in two different guys' names, and it turns out that one of them does not have a credit card in his name. The hotel staff would not let him check in. I called Expedia and the hotel to try switching that room to the other person's name. No one was at all interested in helping us and the hotel staff were downright rude. We wound up eating the price of one room because I had to create a new booking in the first man's name. Expedia service has gone downhill, it is not the value that it used to be, and I definitely DO NOT recommend the Travelodge by Wyndham Manhasset.

The front desk attendant was extremely helpful and nice. My room was quiet and clean. Had a great night sleep. All for a great rate

The guy in front desk very rude.

Though property needed updating the rooms were clean. The management & staff were very helpful and professional. Close to train station and quaint village with lots of restaurants.

Excellent safe and friendly. All the staff, helpful. Front desk staff was very kind helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend Travelodge. Walking within minutes to all shopping and restaurants train and buses. And other stores. Very safe area. Please visit and enjoy the hospitality

I took a chance on this hotel and am very glad I did. I requested a quiet room, and was given one that faced neither the parking lot nor the street. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. And it was very convenient to the event I had traveled to attend, also on Northern Blvd. It makes sense to ask for a quiet room, although I'm not sure the other rooms would have been much noisier.

Person at check in not very friendly. Got to the room and there were no washcloths or towels.They did deliver them as soon as I asked. Basic room clean. Coffeemaker micro and fridge were nice to have. Very close to North Shore University Hospital.

For the price and location excellent. Room was clean quiet. Plenty of tv stations. Excellent staff. Location excellent with midtown nyc < hour. Manhasset lirr about 15 min walk . Bus is right by hotel connecting to great neck station and beyond or Long Island points east.

Close too the hospital

Price was fair. Room was a bit small but clean . Nice flatscreen TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room which is a nice perk . Ample and easy parking.Great Asian restaurant steps away. Coffee and tea available in lobby in the morning.

Easy access to Northern Blvd

It was a quiet place to stay at. Very nice stay within a couple blocks away from Walgreens, IHOP, Marshalls and Macy,s, Starbucks and train station that takes you right into Grand Central in Manhattan times square. There's a park in the area that is lovely to take an evening walk with a water stream and small waterfall. We would definately stay again. Thank you to the Manager and maintenance team for being so kind and nice.

Excellent Asian Restaurant next door but otherwise, not anything within walking distance. OK if you have a car but we were at mercy of airline after they cancelled flights then moved us from LGA to JFK.

This is an affordable option in an expensive area, and while rooms are simple, the staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. All the bathrooms appear to have been redone nicely in 2023 (I have stayed here multiple times/different rooms since September 2023). Bedrooms are old-school motel style, but also have fridges and microwaves, and irons&boards. No coffeepot in rooms, but there's free coffee in the morning in lobby. Simple, friendly, inexpensive place to stay.

We came to NY for our son's graduation from USMMA in Kings Point. This property is only 12 min from the Academy and there is hardly any traffic. We have been to NY quite a few times over the past 4 years and have stayed at various places. This property is very affordable and you can park right outside your room for free! Although there is no breakfast, it is only a short walk to Louie's (our favorite) and other places in the area. There is a great Asian restaurant next door and an amazing italien restaurant (Antonio's) down the street! You can walk to the train station which is super convenient which will take you straight to Penn Station downtown NY! We have 2 more kids at the Academy and already booked our room for next year.

If the property was updated, I would consider it a hidden gem. It’s a great location with nearby shopping and quality restaurants.
