Courtyard by Marriott Auburn

Very clean and great looking facility but I picked this hotel specifically for the advertised bistro for breakfast and coffee drinks for the morning and it was all closed down until further notice without informing us at booking or before check in. No alternative for breakfast offered and no discount even though part of their offerings were no longer available.

Line to check in that took awhile. Friendly staff though that apologized for the wait. Went out to the pool and the only lounge chair that was there was ripped all down one side.

Construction prevented safe access to the hotel. Parking lots often closed at night making parking difficult. Management did not provide adequate assistance with problems

The pool area needs a full overhaul

This property had a major staff issue, particularly with house keeping. Upon arrival, our shower gel and shampoo were empty and there were 3 tissues in the dispenser. We requested replacements which were never delivered and although we requested cleaning each night, it only happened after a complaint to the manager. The lobby staff was nice, but the property was undergoing renovations and overall service was slow.

Room dirty, towels thread-bare, blood drops on sheets, etc. We stayed there about a month ago and both elevators were out of service.

Our air conditioner was leaking water in the carpet. Other than that, it was good. Enjoyed having an outside space to sit in the evening.

Pool is small and sketchy and the elevator is slow as Christmas

We just stayed for one night on a longer trip. The bed was very comfortable. It has a cushion top, but not a very big one. It is firm underneath. The room is spacious and accommodated our family of 4 nicely for the night. Nice size bathroom. The lobby is nice and has plenty of seating and a breakfast/bar area. There was a nice looking seating area and fire pit near the pool. Overall a good stay in a clean hotel.

It had a great lobby and work area to sit on your computer etc. Nice atmosphere. Would be nice to have some gratis snacks or cookies for hotel staying patrons. Otherwise a nice overall hotel.

The temperature throughout the hotel was 65F. I don't think the bathroom floor was moped. There was sand in the bed. Makes me think that the sheets were not changed since the last guest.

The property looks good, and our room was okay but not clean. There were a pair of dirty socks and a napkin by the bed, and the areas around the TV, door handle, and glass table were dirty, as if something had been spilled and left to dry.

I woke up to a face full of bumps., not sure if it was bed bugs or a reaction from something else. Hair in the bathroom, inside the tub and sink. Hallways weren’t well vacuumed

There was a lot of hair in the bedding & shower but other than that it was a great stay.

Room was filthy. Blood stains on bedding. No complimentary breakfast. Air conditioning made loud screeching noise.

I was disappointed in the cleanliness of my room. There were crumbs on the table beneath the t.v. The floor lamp was dusty, and my son’s sheets didn’t appear to have been washed. The staff was very friendly however and it was quiet and safe.

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff but we found nail clippings and cereal crumbs in the bed so I think the place is not cleaned thoroughly and not checked by mgmt Also we couldn’t get the room we reserved bc it wasn’t cleaned that day and instead got another room that only appeared clean on the surface

Upon arrival, there was nobody at the front desk. There was a long wait before anyone arrived (10+minutes). The first gentleman in line was there to collect towels and toiletries. He’d been there for 3 days, requesting towels, soap, and toilet paper each day, and the staff had yet to able. While in line, I watched the woman working the bistro shut down the restaurant and bar , on Friday night, before 8:00. She was very annoyed when she announced to us that she had worked all day and had had enough. I had planned to have a snack and a cocktail there, but that plan was thwarted. Finally, the line cleared and I was checked into my room. When we opened the door we were greeted with high temperatures as the hvac unit was set to heat. The couch had the giant stain that’s in the attached photo. The bathroom, especially the shower, was dirty. There was supposed to be body wash, shampoo, and conditioner on the wall in the shower. All 3 were completely empty. Additional shampoo and conditioner dispensers were located across the bathroom, but had not been installed. There was not any body wash. We set the air conditioner to cool with a constant fan. It turned off multiple times during the night, resulting in a temperature fluctuation in the room that constantly woke us both up. I hate this hotel so much that I cannot describe. I am very easily satisfied by meager accommodations. I just need a cool room, a comfortable bed, clean conditions, hot water, reasonable service and soap.

Its good, but internet is slow, They do not offer breakfast for the stay.

I heard EVERYTHING from next door. The walls were very thin. I did not rest/sleep at all….wasted stop.

Hotel was clean with friendly staff. I had to ask multiple times for any services I needed. Ex: fresh linen, help with internet tv that apparently didn’t work throughout the entire hotel.

My tv didn’t work and I already unpacked my stuff so moving rooms wasn’t an option

Liked the location convenience Didn’t like how loud the Air conditioner was - didn’t get a good night sleep. At check out woman at front desk was so unfriendly and grumpy

Check in was easy and fast. Room was adequate for my needs. I felt safe there. My only complaint is that there was a smoke detector over the bed that flashed a yellow/white light every 3 seconds. Yes, 3 seconds, I counted because it kept me awake. Aside from that, no issues with my stay.

It was very clean and quiet. People were friendly. Rooms were newly renovated and the room was nice. One of the better hotels I've stayed at honestly. Would recommend.

We booked two rooms on the same reservation. They allowed on line check in for one room but not the other. The rooms were on different floors. The fridge did not work and neither did the coffee maker. I reported it twice and the person at the front desk did not apologize and just scribbled it down twice. We were told the Starbucks would open at 6. Came down at 7 and she said she wasn’t still up and running. Then she could not print out the receipt and disappeared for awhile to get paper. The food was good once it came. It was graduation day and it was hectic. Also the room wasn’t very clean. Stain on comforter and old coffee pod still stuck in the machine and stuff on the floor. Would not go back.

Very slow check in process, staff member kept having to “check with manager.” Carpeting in hallway in front of our room had numerous dark stains. No trash pick up/towel service after we checked in (stayed 2 nights). Very slow check out process.

I told him my name and he said “card for incidentals” and then handed me 2 room keys with the room number on it, that was the extent of the interactions. There wasn’t any coffee or water in the lobby as the hotel description said. When I asked about it I was told I could buy some from the Starbucks counter, that happened to be unstaffed. The room was average, it was clean but not particularly special. When we checked out the next morning we went down to find the “made to order breakfast” and found nothing. So I’m not sure what that was all about. Overall I was pretty disappointed.

Great customer service. The receptionist Ava was wonderful to us and greeted us in such a positive mood. The hotel smelled great and looked beautiful on the inside. The rooms were clean and spacious.

Everyone on the staff that we encountered was so friendly and very helpful. They were outstanding!!!

Nice hotel that is near the college and good dining options.

Easy access off interstate quiet area and clean

Beautiful and clean hotel. Friendly staff. 5 stars. 10 min to JH and 5 min to Bucees. Off main road in its own area. Will definitely return.

The property was great! Its central location was extremely close to Auburn University and surrounding areas which made it easy to navigate while there for a graduation. Would definitely stay here again.

Yes, there was a small single- serving coffee pot in the room; however, I expected another option. I went downstairs at 7 am but no one was at the counter to order coffee from. Signs indicated Starbucks was available for purchase. How about just some regular fresh coffee readily available? I left the hotel and enjoyed a cup of coffee at a local coffee shop which was lovely.

I stayed twice in one week. Staff is so friendly, room very clean, food and staff at cafe are also great. Feels like a hotel that costs much more. Will be my go-to when visiting Auburn.
