Excellent! They have a nice area designated for dog walking along with a poop station with bags and trash dedicated to the animals. They had a swimming pool, workout room and a pergola , covered picnic area,with a couple of grills and a very nice area to just sit and enjoy the surroundings. This hotel was also across the street to a Love's truck stop and McDonald's . They also had easy access to nearby food stores (1 1/2 mile). STAY HERE!

The overall facilities were excellent. The room was nice, and the staff was friendly. The facility was in excellent condition, and they have a nice area in the back to walk your dog. The cons were minimal but should be noted. The side door on the first floor was never secured, even though there was a place to swipe your room key. This didn't make sense, especially when the front door is like Fort Knox after hours. It is directly across the street from one of the busiest truck stops I have ever seen. While that doesn't take away from what this hotel has to offer, it can make getting in and out of the parking lot difficult at times. Finally, please don't have any grandiose expectations of the breakfast. I tried it the first day and that was also the last day. I am saying this because there isn't anything else in the immediate area unless you want the McDonald's attached to the truck stop. Bottom line, I would stay here again, despite the small complaints, because it was nice and worth the money.

Hotel does not have a free electric car charger which is what electric car owners r looking for when searching for hotels with chargers. The starting price was over 5$ and charged more over time. Over priced and should be included with stay.

I've stayed at this location several times and plan on staying here many more times. The staff is friendly and very helpful, the rooms and property are clean, the pet area is well groomed and stocked with baggies to keep it clean. My wife and i enjoy the stay.

We arrived very late (as scheduled). Check-in was a breeze. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. I'd value that at $10-15 per person if you went off property. Great value and stay.

The service was great. The price was about $200 for one night. However, the carpet in the hallway was very stained and dirty. The room had a musky smell. It had old carpet. I’m sure that smell came from dirt trapped in the old carpet. The price did not coincide with the condition of the carpet throughout the place.

This is the worse hotel ever. I experienced a bed bug issue here before, I waited for a while & tried to revisit & boy oh boy u ran into trouble. Needless to say I ran back into the same problem “bed bugs”! They switched me from one room to another & me & my mother-n-law had to sleep in the chairs because the 2nd room had them as well. We were either stuck with sleeping in the chairs or car because everywhere else was sold out!

I woke up to being bitten by ants, my room was moved. I tried to fall back asleep to now being awaken by bed bugs eating me. I end up having to sleep in my car until the next morning. I have bites and bumps over my body. Check out day I go to the front desk & ask for the name of management & corporate #. Didn’t even realize it was the manager Theresa that gave me the # to corporate not even acknowledging why I was asking or identifying herself as the manager! Showed no lack of concerns, I have sinced contacted Choice Hotels corporate office!!! There are other videos and pictures that I will not attach!!

Room strongly smelled of disinfectant and in my experience is a cover for other smells. Hair in the shower. It’s like they used a dirty rag to wipe areas of the room because you could see exactly where they had wiped.

Sleep Inn in Defuniak Springs was great. They were constantly cleaning and working. Everyone I encountered was very nice. The hotel was clean, inside and out. They had a great selection of breakfast items. The beds were comfortable and clean. I liked that the cleaning service doesn't bother you unless you leave the checklist on the door requesting certain items or services.

The hotel is locate near I-10 so it is convention to get to and get back on the interstate 10. Hotel relatively clean and quiet. There were couple minor things for instance, one of the drawers did not stay shut. It roll out about 1.5 feet into the walk way creating a tripping hazard.

Our stay was very nice. The bed was so comfortable. Room was clean, the walk in shower was wonderful. Unfortunately , something came up that we had to leave earlier than planned and didnt get to have breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

Jessica was the associate what was on duty when we checked in. She is friendly and very customer service oriented. We had a problem with the toilet in our forst room and she found us another room quickly even offered to bring us out new keys and a luggage cart. She made our check in a great experience.

The property is very nice and clean and comfortable. We did have one big issue. After taking a shower and grabbing a towel, I started to dry myself off and when I was done, I noticed that there was blood on my towel, which was not mine. The night manager was very nice, but I did have to deal with the morning manager when I checked in and over this issue and she was very crabby and unprofessional.

My second time to stay here. As before it was a clean, comfortable place to stay! Staff were friendly and professional. If I could make one suggestion, a bell or some kind of notification at the front desk could be beneficial. I realize the staff has other duties to attend to. Several times when I went to the front desk there was no one there, after waiting, a courteous staff member came out and attended to my need. Again - just a suggestion.

I would think the Sleep Inn & Suites @ 1-10/Defuniak Springs is mostly a place to rest your head while a long travel day. My 85 year old mom and I evacuated Tampa for Hurricane Milton. The hotel was clean. The beds were comfy. They accept pets. Nice area to walk dogs. They provide a hot breakfast which was good. The whole staff, from the front desk (Mary & Cheyenne), the housekeepers, the lady that made breakfast, were very kind and friendly being that the hotel was filled with anxious people that left the Tampa Bay area. Please keep in mind it's not a resort nor do they claim to be. It served as a place of refuge. I will definitely remember for the next hurricane but hopefully that's not for quite sometime. Thank you all at the Sleep Inn!!

The location is convenient for rapid travel. There is no congestion in the area. That means no restaurants for dining. We knew that. Breakfast was not ready at 7 AM. We were on a schedule and could not wait. Kids were running in the hallway past 10 PM.

A great stay. Excellent value. The cleanliness and overall appearance were off the chart. Everything looked brand new. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast had a wide variety of hot and cold foods. The coffee was even good. We will definitely stay there again when in the area.
