The property was nice. it was clean mostly. The parking was tough and if they didn't have immediate parking you had to park in the adjacent tavern parking which is a little sketch late at night. The manager on duty, Nikki was very pleasant and lovely to work with upon arrival. The room was small but quaint and clean. Beds were comfortable although their bed sheets did not fit the mattresses. They did not have irons and ironing boards in the room but when I called down for one they were able to provide one which was broken but functioning. The elevator is super old and slow and should be updated to only allow access to floors using a key card because anyone can walk in and take the elevator to any floor with no issue. We did not use the pool but it seemed nice. Complimentary breakfast was good with nice optionality. Overall, it was a pleasant one night stay. Would stay again. Cute little town.

A very nice lodging right at the heart of Penn Yan, a quaint town that is literally right beside the beautiful Keuka Lake. The only downside is its limited parking spaces and when this was brought up with the front desk staff who was on duty, she could not offer an option where to park in case guests arrive and there are no available spots within the property. No traveler would want to find out that their vehicle was towed or assessed a fine because of illegal parking.

We specifically came to use the pool as I have not been able to walk for two months. The water was green and the clerk did not know when the water was tested last. The two desk staff that I dealt with were great and very professional. I also had a problem that I got the wrong room and was asked to pay an extra $20. I have jpeg to up load if I see a spot for that.

Parking was at a premium because I arrived late and there are limited spaces coupled with tavern patrons using the hotel lot. Everything was great except being awakened to loud music and shrill screams from students holding a car was at the firehouse directly across the street.

Very clean and well maintained property. The limited continental breakfast. Was well maintained by the help. Nice well maintained pool. The front desk was very helpful when required... What highly recommend to stay there.

The hotel room was clean but very small (obviously since it was a Microtel). The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was okay. Penn Yan is a small town but the hotel is located very near several restaurants, stores, and taverns. All in walking distance. The only thing about this hotel and that it has only one elevator and it is very slow.

Beds were comfortable and clean except for the pillows. They need to be cleaned or replaced. Space and room arrangement was good. Could really use a better mirror meant for women with good lighting around it. Major issue was the mold in the corners of the shower and bathroom floors not clean. Facilities were good just not clean enough for me.

we got in late and went right to sleep. when we woke up there were rose petals that had fallen out of the bed . they were obviously there from the people before us. i went down to the desk in the morning and they said they couldn’t do anything for us because we booked through Expedia. Offered nothing for having a dirty bed. the hotel otherwise was very nice.

Unfortunately despite the review caught this location at a bad time. The manager had quit. The lady at checkin said she walked out the week prior and was called back. They are short staff and she said it’s going to take a while for the hotel to get back to what it used to be. Checkin time was scheduled for 3pm and the room was not ready until 6pm. The lobby bathroom was out of order. She asked me what I would like to do because my room was not ready and I asked what my options were and she said I actually didn’t have any since they were fully booked… she was trying her best given their situation. The room had an odor to it. There was black mold on the bathroom ceiling, and it looked like ash was left in the toilet… leads me to wonder how clean our room actually was? Really disappointing especially for how much this room cost. I was given the regional or district managers number in order to call her and advise my experience and ask for a discount. This was a very inconvenient stay when on vacation.

Room by elevator a bit loud. Also, they played a very low music in the hallways, all night long too. It wasn't loud but for a light sleeper like myself I found it a bit bothersome. Great location.

I reserved a single room with a king bed, it wasnt "ready" and got "upgraded" to a handicap accessible "suite", which seems like like I got another sink, a sitting space, and a smaller bed. Curtains wouldnt close properly, ottoman was broken, black mold growing on tub/shower fixtures, no additional TP, only 3 squares left on roll, 4 tissues in tissue box. Card keys had to be reset 3 times throughout my stay, yes I got locked out of my room. But AC worked well, as did tv and fridge and microwave.

Our room was very comfortable and seemed clean. The bathroom vanity is tiny, so it was a little inconvenient and the elevator was very slow, but overall it's a nice hotel with a comfortable temperature and beds and also has a decent amount of parking, which puts it over a lot of hotels I've stayed at in the last few years. It's also in a very convenient location, with places to eat and things to do nearby.

When you take a shower, your only options were burning hot or really cold. When you turn the shower valve to the middle. Does not change water temp. Water still would come out either burning hot or ice cold. Needs a plumber to come out and look at the shower valve.

The hotel room was clean but very small (obviously since it was a Microtel). The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was okay. Penn Yan is a small town but the hotel is located very near several restaurants, stores, and taverns. All in walking distance. A staff member was incredibly rude and condescending as we attempted to check in. This hotel wouldn’t let my brother stay on the property because he’s 20 years old and didn’t have parent consent. I explained that I am his 31 year old sister and the staff member continued to be disrespectful. I am shocked by this hotel’s absurd policy but I am truly disgusted by this employee who was on a power trip. He should be removed immediately.

I ended up arriving earlier than anticipated and they were able to check me in anyhow which was a huge help because it was 90° and i was traveling with 2 small dogs who would otherwise had to have stayed in the car, running with the A/C on while I completed my appointments. This is my 3rd stay in the Penn Yan Microtel and won't hesitate to stay again next trip.

I stayed there two nights with two rooms. Everything was fine we checked out and then booked the next night because we did not finish the job in the area where we were working. So once I booked the third night with two rooms through Expedia we got to the motel and they put my other guy in a dirty room and had to move him. When I got home from this stay and mind you this was back on the 27th of June it is now July 4th. They had charged my card the full price for two rooms beyond what expedia charged me. Thinking it was a simple mistake, I called them and politely asked that they fix it. Instead of fixing it they charged me two rooms again at the full price. So now I have paid for four rooms that were paie for it originally through expedia. So now they have $450 of my money and they cannot seem to get it rightThey are very incompetent and need to be fired including the freaking management. I went to my bank about it because microtel in Penn Yan said that it was my bank's issue. There's no reason my bank should be involved. However I did go to my bank even though the problem is on the microtel side. The bank told me that it was a microtel issue. If this does not get resolved very very very very soon I will start legal proceedings and most certainly make it known to all of Penn Yan possible and the microtel system that these people stole my money. All I want is my money back that they charged me beyond what I paid Expedia.

Everything about the hotel was great, but the most important part was the attitude of one of the staff members Olivia. When we called the front desk about an issue in the room, she attended to it herself because the housekeeping staff was not available at that hour. She also took the trash out herself, cleaned the bathroom floor which was not really required, or expected from a front desk staff member.

Our first night was rough. A guest right next door was coughing and snorting all night and our sleep was bad! We asked to be moved to another room if the guest was going to be there again and we were not only graciously moved but upgraded to a suite. The rest of our stay was fine.

The front desk is always helpful to resolve issues. I had booked a suite, but it is right next to the elevator, and I requested to exchange to a room farther away from the elevator, and my request was granted without any issues. The shower drain was going slowly on the first day, and it’s fixed immediately after I reported the problem the next morning

This is the second time we stayed here--great location, walkable to Penn Yan restaurants and bars. Very close to Keuka Lake and not far from Seneca Lake. Staff is friendly. Hotel room is clean and spacious. We will be back--one of the easiest & most convenient places to stay in the Finger Lakes

The location is perfect for a weekend getaway! The staff is exceptional. Our room was clean with plenty of comfortable pillows. Shower was great. The 24 hour coffee machine in the lobby is an added bonus. We'll definitely be back!

Our rooms were clean and quiet. The issues were with the pool room running out of towels and the breakfast food running out and not being replenished on a busy morning. A waffle maker and juice dispenser were also out of order. We've stayed before on a less busy night and had no issues so we will be back.

There was only one microwave in the breakfast area with several options that needed to be microwaved, and on a weekend morning with a lot of guests, they really could have used a second or even a third one.

The stay was very good! The staff was great as well as the location. There were no issues with the room. The only negative was the breakfast. While they had a waffle maker most of the food was pre-packaged and not great. There were several breakfast spots close to the hotel that would be a better choice.

Hotel room was decent with housekeeping everyday. They had a good breakfast buffet (no hot items available) & all day coffee/tea. Never got to using the pool since it was cooler weather. Overall good accommodation if you are visiting the area.
